    Yellow rice

Our company ordered from here for lunch. Colleague of mine wanted to share so we ordered a 1lb of Pernil, and a 1lb of ribs with yellow rice and Rice with Pigeon Peas. with a side of beans. The ribs was good. Has a well balance of the fatty and lean parts. The Pernil was okay once you pour the sauce on it. It was a tad on the bland side and a bit dry but overall I feel like it depends on what part of the cut you get. For the cost of this meal. I felt like you're not getting that bang for your buck. The extra cost for the little things seems a bit much but it is what it is. Really wanted to try their other options like their infamous Oxtail. Sadly that wasn't an option.

Ordered through Grubhub. I ordered black beans and got something different. They didn't have the fried pork I ordered so they sent me pernil without even calling to ask if I would like something else, especially since I already ordered pernil too... so I got double pernil that's just silly. The rice was overcooked and just not tasty at all. The très lèches was the saving grace along with the soursop smoothie. The smoothie arrived kind of on the runny side so I put it in the freezer for like 30 mins and it was so much better after.

Best everything, They have the best mac and cheese they also have oxtail which is sooo good with the empanada and hot sauce , they also have maridin juice and everything which is so good

This place is near my job so I eat here often. We even catered food before. I love the fish here !! Rice is amazing , pepper steak , chicken. All the goods. Not gonna lie I wanted to try the Mac and cheese but I was scared. I have seen it white then others yellow cheese. i got Turkey wings today and I didn't like them. They looked better than they taste. They don't have a phone number so that's annoying. But the food is very fresh

4/16/17 I've become a regular since my first visit a few years back. Breakfast sandwiches are the best. My favorite, Egg White, Bacon & Cheese on a Kaiser roll sustains you the whole day! With a café con leche. They have other Breakfast combinations. The Roasted chicken, really flavorful and moist. Chicharrones(Pork & Chicken)s, Pernil, Stir Fried Meat, Fish, Ox Tail. Vegetables and salads& Soups, Beans compliment the menu. Everything is delicious. I have not a bad meal there yet. Fruit juices, the Mango is addictive. The staff is friendly and very efficient. It's mostly a take out place with several in tables that you can seat and enjoy a meal.

This is one of my favorite Spanish restaurants however today I was beyond furious with the way that the driver spoke to me on 1/24/16 at 1:04pm. I waited over two hours to receive my delivery. I wasn't the least bit surprised with their turn around time because I know that good food shouldn't be rushed. Besides I'm used to their crazy delivery times. I placed my delivery at 11:13am and called back to check how long it'll take at 12:45pm. I was told it's on the way. At 1:04pm I received a phone call that my food is outside. I told him exactly where I was and that I'm not coming outside to pick up my food when I specifically asked for the "delivery" option. The guy goes off on me. He says, "There's snow everywhere. I understand you're inside, but you'll have to come get your food. We all have to get along and work together." My one and only response was, "Why do you have an attitude?!" He claims he didn't have one. I hung up on him, got dressed, wrapped my wet hair in a towel and went outside. At this point I'm ready to confront the delivery guy and speak my peace. I'm sure the little boy that was standing awkwardly with my food in his hand was afraid I was going to go off. To say I am vexed is an understatement. I asked him what was the attitude about? He said it wasn't him but it was his father. I asked him what snow was in the way that he couldn't come around the corner approximately less than a foot to bring me my food. He said they're not obligated to go to the door. I simply told him that's a lie and what would be the point in delivering my food if I have to come outside?! As you all may know, there was no tip given besides telling him that his father needs to man up and handle his own dirty work. I also called and spoke to the manager to complain about that low life. From 4 stars to 1, what a damn shame!!!

Empanadas carne, chicharrones Pollo sin huesos, ensalada avocado

Castillo De Pollo translated in English means Castle of Chicken. Delicious meals are prepared for The Queen of Queens here. A fellow Yelper highly recommended Castillo and this has been my go to for delivery dining in the Jamaica area. The quality of the Food at Castillo is great for the cost. For $18 I ordered the boneless fried chicken (chicharrones de Pollo sin huesos), Rice and beans, avocado salad and Empanadas. For the family size quantity you receive(feeds 5), the quality is unmatched. I really appreciate that they do not drown their food in salt or Sazon. Everything is flavorful and seasoned perfectly. The Empanadas are standard and could benefit from some extra seasoning. They offer seasoned chicken and beef with onions and peppers for taste. This is not Mama's Empanadas but you can expect a crisp, moist and tasty empanada. The Boneless fried chicken is delicious. Also simply seasoned and not greasy. The Avocado salad is a staple to finish off your meal. The Delivery and customer service here can be hit or miss. The estimated time of delivery can reach up to about 1 Hour and 15 minutes. Atleast that reassures me my food is hot and freshly prepped. The delivery men may not speak clear English so...have a Spanish dictionary available or step up your Rosetta Stone game.

Luckily for me I received free delivery ie to my free trial membership via Grubhub. I initially placed an order for Pepper Steak, White Rice, Beans, Boneless Chicken Chunks, and Empanadas - Beef and Chicken. I received a call from one of the employees who informed me they didn't have pepper steak. I tried to communicate with her to give me a different steak dish, but she didn't understand me. Her English wasn't the greatest and my Spanish was a little choppy, we managed to get through the call and I ended up with two orders of Boneless Chicken Chunks. The food was delicious. I received a decent portion of food. The rice was perfect. I liked that it had a little bit of oil in it which made it less dry and mushy. The beans were more sauce than beans, but it was absolutely tasty. I didn't care for the empanadas.

The shop is steady busy with takeout orders and the occasional folks (like me) who wanted to sit and enjoy my first doubles there. They only have two tables and chairs. Most people order to go. You may order at the kiosk and wait for your number to be called when it is ready to pick up. The kiosk is good because it easily shows all the sauces you may add to your doubles and the variety of other things like drinks, etc you may order. There is also the option to get in line and place your oder. You can watch the assembly line of workers quickly making food. Then check out with the cashier. They sell lots of different cakes, breads, nuts, and drinks too. I was a little overwhelmed on what to order, but a nice employee helped me out. I showed him what I was trying to order and asked for suggestions. Thanks to him I had the best doubles! Added tamarind sauce, mango chutney, and the benny sauce. The perfect vegetarian meal for $2.50! It is made of roti (flatbread), curried chickpeas, and topped with the sauces. Then rolled up to make a sandwich. So flavorful! I wasn't too sure which drink to get as I wasn't sure what they all tasted like. Chose the Seamoss drink, which is a mix of milk, seams, nutmeg, and some spices. Milky and not overly sweet. This was good. Maybe next time I'll get sorrel, which is hibiscus. They said the peanut drink is good too. Ordered Pholourie with tamarind sauce. These are fried savory dough balls. I couldn't resist getting a sweet treat. So, I randomly picked the salara bread, which looks like a cinnamon swirl bread slice. It is actually stuffed with shredded coconut that is colored red and tastes like cherry. Pretty good and not overly sweet. Definitely add this place to your list of eats in Queens. It is a trek from the city, but so good! Also, nice that it is a little bit away from the loud busy part of Liberty Ave in Richmond Hill. This is about a 15-20 min walk from there on Lefferts Blvd. Restroom available.
