The food and service was amazing! We pulled up for their 90-minute bottomless brunch (just $25 with any entrée) and let's just say, we left full, happy, and a little tipsy. Drinks? We had a strawberry mojito & blackberry sangria--fresh, fruity, and perfectly mixed. No watered-down nonsense here! Food, we went all in: Brunch tacos - a perfect bite in every tortilla Chicken & waffles - my forever fave, crispy & fluffy perfection Steak & eggs - juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right Fruity pancakes - soft, sweet, and topped with fresh fruit We couldn't say no to DESSERT, the churros with ice cream (crispy, warm, and dipped in cinnamon-sugar heaven) & the brownie sundae (rich, fudgy, and topped with vanilla ice cream). Mouth watering. Already planning a trip back to try their dinner menu -- because if brunch was this good, dinner has got to be next-level.

    11/10/24 - Hubby & I Celebrating My Born Day!

My husband surprised me for my birthday and took me here. I was delighted being that I had it bookmarked for what seems like forever. Our reservations were for 7pm. We were running a tad late due to dropping off our toddler prior to my celebratory dinner. I was in awe of the decor, lighting and flower wall. This place screams intimate and sexy. Definitely for a mature crowd but if you wanted to bring the kiddos there is a patio like area right before you enter the restaurant that you can dine at. The moment we walked in we're asked where we'd like to sit. We chose a low top table across from the bar. Our wonderful waitress whose name escapes me asked if he wanted to get started on apps or drinks. Hubby and I live sangria but couldn't decide on which flavor to order. She listed the flavors and asked if we wanted to sample it first. Of course I obliged. Not soon after she came back with a sangria float which consisted of: Regular, Passion Fruit, Guava and Berry. Each flavor was tasty but we ultimately went with a pitcher of the Berry flavor as it was absolutely delicious. Believe me when I tell you this sangria almost took us out. It's sweet yet balanced and sneaks up on you, For apps we went with Guacamole which comes with Plantain Chips and Beef Corn Masa Empanada. The guac was extremely fresh and plentiful. The app should include extra plantain chips. Although we didn't ask for additional I'm pretty sure our waitress would've brought them out. The empanadas were mini but packed a lot of flavor. The app came with a total of four which was perfect to share. We even used some of the guac on the empanada. The chipotle sauce that comes with the empanada was ok but not needed in my opinion. Now for the entrees we weren't exactly sure what we wanted but we had a few strong contenders so it was hard to choose a dish. Ultimately we ended up ordering the Chuleta en Leña and the Paella. Hubby's Chuleta en Leña was incredibly delicious. The lamp chops were cooked perfectly, incredibly tender and melted in our mouths with each bite. The seasoning used was simple but left an outstanding impression on our palate. My Paella included shrimp, mussels, octopus, clams, and chorizo. I opted to remove the chorizo and octopus and asked for extra shrimp instead. Everything about my dish was amazing. It was absolutely delicious, which flavors so rich and tender it practically melted in my mouth. As we wrapped up dinner I was waiting for my hubby to collect the check but was surprised by the staff singing me Happy Birthday, including a birthday sign, music and bringing out complimentary dessert. The churros adorned with vanilla ice cream and strawberries completely blew me away. A straightforward dessert without the extra hoopla but made our hearts very content.

Great food selection. Thank you Oscar! We came very late on a Sunday night and the service and ambience were perfect. The staff were great and we loved our food and drinks!!

Really nice and friendly and happy hostess. Had our reservation. Table Ready at 7pm on a rainy Saturday night. Even found parking !! Passion fruit sangria was delicious. Mezcal margarita was ok. We shared bistec that was flavorful but slightly chewy. The shrimp with garlic was nicely charred but truly lacked good garlic flavoring. The baguette was delicious. The mofonguitos (roast pork) were out of this world delicious. The plantain was too hard however. The cubanito was very good. This is a very cute and inviting space. And the service was good and no one rushed us at all.

I came here to celebrate my 35th birthday, and unfortunately, the experience was really disappointing. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, it took almost an hour before a server came to take our order. After spending all that time reviewing the menu and deciding on the lamb, we were told--after ordering--that they were out of it. It was the one thing we were all excited to try, so we reluctantly settled for steak with rice. When the food finally arrived (which also took a long time), it was another letdown. The rice tasted like parboiled rice--dry and lacking flavor--and the steak was overcooked and just as dry. Sadly, no one at the table enjoyed their meal. Service was extremely slow, the food was underwhelming, and the overall experience just didn't live up to expectations--especially for a special occasion. I wouldn't recommend this spot based on my visit.

I wanted to like this restaurant so badly because it looks beautiful from the outside and it's close to my house but the service is lacking. I came twice in one week hoping to change my view on it but was disappointed yet again. The food is good but I shouldn't have to flag down the waiter in an empty restaurant. The first time, I waited for about 30 mins before getting up and asking for the bill. The second time, I had to keep getting up to ask for another drink and then the bill. They also didn't have most items on the menu. I gave it a shot. I won't be returning.

I was surprised to see so many positive reviews because my experience was disappointing. The octopus was extremely tough and chewy. The croquetas were decent. My friend's sliced steak looked undercooked and was full of tendons, which made it feel like a lower quality cut. I will say the cocktail was very good. Overpriced overall for what was received.

Had brunch here last week. The food was delish! My friend had steak and eggs, and I had the chicken and waffles. Neither dish disappointed, our server was awesome, she was efficient, sweet, and knowledgeable about the menu. I had the passion fruit sangria and it was great, not too sweet, made just right. The decor is warm and classy.

Sala Roll with ceviche and maduros! amazing!!!

Amazingly delicious! had the guac with plantain chips to start. there was chicken tenders and fries for my son. my husband had chicken mofonguitos, loved them. he had two different cocktails, a jamaican one forgot exact name and another . I had a rose guava sangria as it was in happy hour menu. all drinks were okay, the food was thehighlight. I had the most delicious sushi roll i believe ive ever had! The Sala roll, perfection and such a good portion I was stuffed! There was maduros un the roll and the ceviche on top was soo good! We finished off with tres leches and churros. I am picky with my tres leches, and this one was in point! great flavor and moist, the only thing I would improve a bit was the icing. my husbands caramel stuffed churros was also delicious! Service was good and as we were leaving he let us know if upcoming menu items that would be added soon, all sounded like another reason to return!

Came here on a Wednesday night with a friend. Found this place via Yelp. There was no wait and was seated promptly once we entered. Started off with guacamole ($13) that came with long plantain chips which were really good. Got the macarrones con queso ($15) that was topped with shredded pork which was my fave dish. And the main dish we got the talavera tacos ($26) which was very filling and delicious. Overall had a really good experience and would def stop by if l am in the area. * Good service

Came here for a birthday day dinner. The place inside is very cute. There was a great selection of food and great portions. The prices were reasonable great for large groups. I got to try the lamb chops and taco platter as well as the empanadas. Food was good. For drinks we got 3 pitchers red, white and black berry sangria not the typical sangria im used to as it was way too sweet! I would of prefer a dry red or white wine so that it can balance out the sweetness. The black berry was a big No for me tasted like pure sugar and not enjoyable. I would recommend maybe trying their cocktails instead. Service was fast an attentive the only thing I would say we were a large party so they brought out everyone's food at different times so by the time Some were done eating they were bringing our entrees for others. But overall very accommodating restaurant

Good Latin fusion tapas. In the suburbs of Queens. Very nice to find a nice lounge tapas with good dishes. Cocktails and food are good with nice presentation and decent portions. The ambiance is more on the chill and hip side. Good place for dates and catching up with friends.

Vanilla ice cream - they served it on the side for us because of my dairy restriction :)

Exceptional experience at La Sala on a Saturday night! We arrived at 7 pm (right before more guests came and packed the house). The restaurant is on the smaller side but has plenty of seating inside, outside, and at the bar. The outside area opens up and becomes a wonderful outdoor dining experience! There is also heaters in there for when you visit during the fall/winter. The fooooooood. Omg. Yes, they are a tapas bar... but in addition to their small bites, they have regular size entrees! The flavor does not lack!!!! It gives true Spanish fusion vibes. You will be blown away by everything. Especially if you get what I got: - Chicken empanadas... juicy and tasty chicken encased in a corn shell. Perfection. - Guacamole and plantain chips... a combination made in heaven; the bowl they serve it in is so clutch too - Carne y frites... a fan favorite and one of my favs too. The steak is cooked just as I asked and paired well with the brussel sprouts and fries! - Chuleta en Leña... those lamb chops are something else. My all time favorite!!!! They are Smokey, juicy, and tender. Don't even worry about eating it with utensils. Grab the bone by the hand and chomp away!!!!! - Churros... omg a perfect end to a perfect meal honestly. Drizzled with chocolate and had a warm filling of not really sure of what but it was so good. The drinks! Oh my! I wish I had gotten to try their sangrias but that means I need to come back. And if their sangrias are anything like their cocktails then I know I won't be disappointed. I ordered the Flor de Jamaica. And yes, I loved it. I loved it so much that I drank it too fast and felt the alcohol too fast. Hhahah. That's how good it was. They have beer and that is what my plus one ordered, a Blue Moon. :') The service was so great. They were attentive to everyone's needs. They made sure everyone had their orders in and were served in a timely manner. There were two birthdays when I was there... so I got to see how they sing happy birthday to customers! A sparkler, free dessert, and sign!!! How awesome. Overall, absolutely a fabulous choice to dine at!!! I loved everything including the live music and the sound of happiness coming from other guests in the dining room. Please get yourself in here!!

The Short Rib dish had the same problem. The pasta was steamy hot but the rib was cold. I really don't have a problem eating cold beef, but I can't eat cold chicken. I would have sent my dish back however it was obvious that they weren't going to make a new dish I felt they would have just nuked it longer. While deciding where to go one day, this was suggested and im so glad I went. The restaurant is cozy with tables inside the main dining room and in an enclosed outdoor seating area. Im guessing it opens in the summer. I sat down with my niece while waiting for my sister and for a good 5-7 minutes, no one stopped by and gave a menu nor offered water. Finally after about 3 people walked by not saying anything, someone came. The area is not that big and 7 minutes isnt that long but to sit there any not be addressed by all the staff walking by was annoying. Finally my sister came and we were offered water and a menu. After hearing about the specials and asking for recommendations, we settled on the gnocchi (housemade potato gnocchi, burrata, peas, pesto sauce, toasted pine nuts), Pappardelle alla Bolognese (housemade ribbon pasta, meat sauce), and side of sautéed spinach. The food arrived and we were pleasantly delightful by the main. The gnocchi was so soft and creamy, the sauce was delicious. Im not a fan of gnocchi but this was so good. The papardelle was my meal and it was also so good. There was a lot of pasta and a good amount of meat sauce. It was also delicious. The spinach on the other hand was bland. It has no flavor and we had to add some salt. A few times we tried to call someone over to our table but felt like no one was paying attention. When we were done with our meals, my sister had a few pieces of gnocchi left. She asked for a box as it was to be my nieces lunch for tomorrow. I then said, can you also box up the spinach. A few minutes later, the server dropped off a bag with one container and said here's the spinach. We tried to call his attention but he was already walking away. Where was the gnocchi. Finally when we came back, we asked about it and he said oh I thought it was garbage. I said no we asked for it to be boxed. He said let me talk to the kitchen. He came back and said sorry, they cant do anything but one dessert will be on me. I guess thats fine but we more wanted the food for the baby. For dessert we ordered a tiramisu and pistachio gelato. The tiramisu was in a jar as opposed to a cake slice. One bite of the ice cream and I knew it was bad. It was grainy and sandy texture. I looked up why that would be and one reason stated it could be improper storage, like it was unfrozen or melted then refrozen. I wasn't chancing that. I told the server and said I couldn't eat it. He offered another dessert but I said know, then offered a limoncello shot. While I appreciate the offer, we weren't drinking before so that wasn't the best option to offer. I just said im fine without a replacement. When we got the bill, the dessert was taken off like he said he would. We paid and left. Overall the main course/pasta meals were delicious. The sides and desserts could use work. Service was alright. Id definitely come back for the food and to try some of the pizza.

You can find wines from local wineries as well as international wines; from what I found out they carry South American wines from Chile, Argentina, Peru, Brazil, Uruguay; European wines from Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Georgia, Portugal, Croatia, Slovenia, and Greece and also South African wines. Now that's what I call a wine store! Also they carry vegan wines! As I'm writing this review I'm enjoying a Alta Pavina Pago La Pavina 2009 wine I just purchased at their store and it's amazing! If you like wine you will definitely love this place! They also have a reward program you can enroll in! Don't forget to check out their Addictive Wine and Tapas Bar which Is located right across the street, you will thank me later! Enjoy!

We really enjoyed this restaurant! It's small but decorated well and they create good separation…read morebetween the tables. I also always enjoy a good booth. The service is good. Our waitress was responsive to whatever we needed. The prices are a little high for the portion size, but the food is great quality. My vinho verde was a nice size pour. My husband loved the Iberian ham here. We both had the garlic shrimp which were very well flavored but unfortunately didn't have even one garlic clove, which was disappointing and there were only 6 shrimp. The olive oil they were in was great though and we dipped our food into it and they were perfectly cooked. The paella is supposed to be for 2-4 people which I can see if you have more tapas but we finished it off. It came with a healthy amount of shrimp, grilled calamari and chorizo and was perfectly seasoned. We also appreciated how the rice was a bit crispy and not mushy. The table next to ours ordered what appeared to be a very good looking fruit cobbler of some kind but we were too stuffed for dessert. They also have a weekday happy hour before 6pm that looks good with deals on booze. Really enjoyed this spot! Conveniently located in the middle of garden city with ample free parking.

The restaurant is tapas style so a lot of small plates. I thought the presentation of the food was very well done. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and recommended great dishes. We ordered shrimp, steak on the bone, bone marrow, potatoes, polenta, broccolini, shishieto peppers, and paella for dinner to share. We all enjoyed our food. For desserts we got the lemon and blueberry pudding, was delicious. I loved the bread pudding. My grandfather enjoyed his Nutella chocolate.
