However my friend for the bistec salteado and i would HIGHLY recommend that! It was delicious and i wish i got it. My dish with a meat, rice, tostones, and side salad was $20.45. Bring cash if you don't want to pay a little extra and fyi they charge $1 for to-go containers. The service is a bit slow because there's only one server. I'm also coming from the city where things are quite speedy.

We're usually here on weekday nights so it's nice and quiet. The staff are extremely nice and quick when it comes to taking our orders. I ordered the pechuaga asada and it really hit the spot. The portion sizes are extremely generous and was so happy I paired it with rice and an order of tostones. The chicken was nicely charred and juicy. The rice was soft and flavorful and honestly I could have just had that by itself! The tostones here though definitely was the best part of my meal. They were a perfect balance of crunchy on the borders but soft inside. They knocked it out of the park with those! Overall, love this spot. If I lived in New York, I'd be coming here all the time whether to dine in or for takeout.

Fried plantains were so yummy I could've just had that for a meal, but I had to save room for our dinner. We ordered spinach and cooked vegetables because of our fear of getting sick from raw veggies. The seafood paella was okay. It only had one scallop which was disappointing since that's my favorite seafood. We had plenty left over so we packed it for another meal. Our server was a little rough around the edges but he got nicer as the meal progressed. The place was empty when we arrived hut started to fill up. Noise level never got too loud.

You come in a stranger, leave as family! Sample Boccadillo Platter good choice to start. Gets your belly ready to experience more delectable delights. Tostones are meant to me Shared. Large, pressed, disk-shaped. Comes with flavored Ajo in Pimenton sauce. Fried Shrimp dish is crunchy, succulent and colossal. Chicharrones de Pollo was plenty for two to share. The Arroz Amarillo and Frijoles Negro are stars on their own! Paella Mariana could use a little more love, as it needed more seasoning. The clams were a tad tough. Looked for the soccarat but none. Can't beat the regular or golden Sangrias. Overall, our family's been coming for 20+ years and we'll ALWAYS choose Cabana!

After an appointment in the city, the Honey casually mentions he wants to have lunch here. Apparently, he discovered this neighborhood gem years ago when he worked in Queens. Uhh excuse me sir, you certainly have been holding out on me!! We walked in and were greeted promptly by Sophia who seated us. She returned shortly with a smile and asked if we wanted drinks? This part became easy once we opened the drink menu and saw Spicy Margaritas! That happens to be our thing. We started with the octopus and steamed clams appetizers. When I tell you that both of these dishes are bursting with incredible and delicious flavors! I suggest you save some of the warm bread they provide, to soak up the sauces. I was doing my happy dance, in between bites! My Linguini Com Frutos Do Mar entree' was bursting with fresh clams, mussels, shrimp and calamari. His Bacalhau Assado, with hot olive oil and garlic? Baybeee when I tell you delicious (chef's kiss)!! Okay..yes I left him enough to take some home...after I tried a "taste" or two! We finished with Pudim Flan and cappuccino for me. The smart and sophisticated vibe...attention to detail. With the friendly professional service gives this eatery a better than Manhattan feel. I also find the decor to be lovely. There is also a full bar on the other side of the dining area, accessible through a small door. The bar does have a separate outside door from the street as well. Now that I've found out about this place, I'm telling everyone! There is absolutely no excuse for you to not stop by for lunch, dinner or even drinks at the bar. Thank me later.....
