Tu Casa is a family-friendly restaurant that provides fabulous Peruvian dishes and strong drinks. I love how spacious the environment is and how everyone on staff treats you like family. They truly are the best. Although I should have ordered a sangria, I actually got a passionfruit mojito. It was delicious and strong. Lol. My daughter got apple juice. I got the chicken empanadas as an app to have with my drink and it didn't disappoint. It was packed with chicken, the outside was nice and crispy, and it hit the spot. My daughter got the chicken tenders and fries which she tore up!! I ordered lots of entrees lol... the Tu Casa Pollo combo, entrana saltada, and pargo rojo. I don't regret any of it. The Tu Casa Pollo was seasoned very nicely and juicy. A true Peruvian roast chicken! Just super yummy. Don't forget to eat this with their homemade green sauce!! The steak in the entrana saltada was so juicy and tender. I loved dipping each one into the chimichurri sauce. It came with a lot of onions and peppers which I do not really consume like that but I'm not mad about it. Lol. The pargo rojo was absolute perfection... crispy skin and juicy meat. It was soooo good to eat with the onion and tomato salad on the side. Reminded me of eating fish the Filipino way!! I didn't finish all of this and ended up taking it home. :) Then, for dessert, I simply got flan. And it was the perfect dish to cap off my meal with. Shout-out to Jenay for taking care of us at my table!!! She was a GEM and took care of all my needs on Mother's Day!!! I truly love Tu Casa for its food but also service. A plus is that it's a great place to celebrate any occasion at. I'll be back for more drinks and amazing Peruvian food.

On a Peruvian good kick which brought me and a friend to Tu Casa. They have been on my radar for quite some time and I'm so happy I got to finally go here. This place is very deceiving with a lot more tables to dine in then you realize. Not only was the sangria on point but the food was so tasty. We got the Skirt Steak and Pollo Al Ajillo with a side of tostones. Yum yum yum. The sauces that came with the dishes, especially their green sauce, was so very good! It took a bit to get our food but we were too busy talking so it was fine. The deliciousness of everything made up for it. Here's to another great Peruvian spot in Queens!

Been hearing about this place & I finally got to eat there and it was good. I will be returning because there's some other things that I want to try.

This Tu Casa location is better than the others in my opinion. The food is consistently delicious and fresh. My go to menu items from here are the Rotisserie Chicken, chicken tenders, Pepper Steak, fried chicken chunks with plantains, Chicken Soup and empanadas. Of course I get the green sauce on the side, it's a must! It goes with everything!

My special with fried plantains, cactus, shrimp and steak. Enough to doggy bag and have another meal.

Food was amazing! I got the special with steak, shrimp, cactus and fried plantains - so good! The cactus (don't remember if I ever tried b4 don't think so but my memory isn't what it used to be bc I am a pretty adventurous eater) was tangy and very good! Everything else I have tried elsewhere and their was all delicious! Their service impeccable! They were very attentive and nice too. Asked for a group pics and first time I ever saw someone take our group photo from different angles which was great bc of his maneuvering he was able to capture all our group's faves clearly and everyone's eyes were open and out of all he took he was able to get one really good picture of the 5 of us! Ambiance was beautiful. Nicely decorated on the inside but saw their sidewalk enclosed outside and that looked nice but was colder the night we went so decided to sit inside. Because of great food, service and ambiance even though tip was factored in check already and you had a choice of cash payment which is less than if anyone/someone/all paid in credit we gave cash so bill was a bit cheaper but we pretty much threw in even more cash because ever was amazing! They didn't have their liquor license yet but one from group brought white wine and they were very nice filling and refilling our glasses as well as not making us pay extra (I believe) for allowing us to bring, corking and service. One of the best restaurants where we were all left very happy and pleased with dinner and definitely wanting to return soon maybe for our group holiday dinner!

A neighborhood favorite! Our waiter Manuel has been here for years and is always amazing. They recently redecorated, space is very chic. If you are craving skirt steak or Peruvian chicken with green sauce and don't want to go all the way to Jackson Heights this is the spot to go to!

Literally one of my favorite restaurants in the world. First started going here in 2005 when we moved to the area, and now anytime I am back in the area from Massachusetts I make a point of coming here for the amazing food and atmosphere. The pernil is fall off your fork soft, the maduros are the softest and sweetest I have ever had, and the salsa verde they serve with the food is so good I buy 2 quarts to bring home every time I pass by. My family of five loves the food; my younger daughter got the ceviche mixto, which was fantastic with fresh seafood and just the right amount of lime juice. My son got the bistec tu casa, which was a gigantic portion. My wife got the pollo empanisada (breaded chicken cutlet) which was perfectly cooked. My oldest daughter got the garlic chicken which came with a very flavorful sauce. Absolutely love this place. I've been eating here for 18 years and it has never disappointed. Highly recommend!

Used to be my to go place to go eat, as the environment inside would be so romantic, and would also enjoy the take out. But this time after about a year went back to pick up some food and it was so upsetting, and so disappointing. Sorry for the picture with the sauce but I tried it make it work and it didn't meat was fat and undercook. The rest of the food was the same. Didn't want to take any more pictures just threw it all out. So disappointed. Really let my favorite spot fall down.

My favorite dish here is the Lomo saltado. It was flavorful. Took my parents here and they loved it as well. The Sangria was perfect. Not too sweet. Service is always great and everyone is quite friendly. It's a casual atmosphere where some ppl get dressed up and some are super casual. I want to go back for their rotisserie chicken!

PROS: - convenient location - nice ambiance - good service but busy, so you feel kind of rushed CONS: - margaritas are not good Stopped by here on a nice day to grab a quick bite. Service is good, but can feel rushed at times. Food was edible, with okay flavors, but prices are on the higher end for the quality of food you get. The taste and quality was on the lower end and not what I was expecting from a decently sized and busy Latin restaurant. I had a margarita and it was one of the worst ones I've ever had and couldn't even get past two sips. It taste like cheap margarita mix. Only gave it two stars for the service and ambiance, but I can't say I would go back here.

Let's set the scene. Saturday night, Live music it was not very full in there but a few tables were seated mixed crowd of famil and friend groups maybe 2 dates. My cousin and I ordered one of the new specials the Peruvian mussels omg! It was so deliciously full of freshness and flavor the topping was similar to a ceviche. We ordered a potato appetizer topped with a creamy sauce and boiled egg and black olives. It wasn't my favorite. We shared an order of crispy chicken with rice and beans it was so delicious. The sangria was refreshing. I'll be back just for the mussels.

    Brie F.

I've never stepped foot into the restaurant but I've ordered multiple times from here. This was my backup restaurant when El Castillo De Pollo didn't pick up their phone. My go-to items consist of Chicharrones De Pollo, Pollo Tu Casa, Tu Casa Combo, Pollo Guisado, Tostones, Maduros, Yuca Frita, Frijoles, Papas Fritas, Yellow Arroz, Arroz Moro, Yuca Hervida, Agucate, Chicken Empanada, and Tu Casa Green Sauce. The first time I tried the food here I wasn't a fan because I was comparing it to my favorite dish Chicharrones De Pollo from El Castillo Del Pollo. Although I'm not a fan of the black beans or the chicken empanada I'm so happy I gave this place another chance. Everything else that I've ordered has been delicious and made with love. They include a few small to-go containers of the Tu Casa Green Sauce with each meal so be sure to use it. It's delicious, slightly spicy and goes great on the rice, the chicken, and Yuca Frita. Trust me you won't be disappointed.

The most recent time was a few days ago, and it was excellent. The staff is nice, and the portions are generous for the price point, with two of us taking home leftovers out of the four people dining. To drink, three of us had shakes, or rather batidos, with the prices being $7 en agua or $8 en leche. I went with Lulo, which is listed as Solanum online, but really refers to naranjilla. As per the name, it means a little orange, but it is closer in flavor to a mix between pineapple and lime. Others had Maracuyá/passion fruit and Guanábana/soursop, and everyone enjoyed their drinks. They gave us some chulpi/corn nuts on the table, along with some aji verde, a lightly spicy green sauce which went with some of our heavier appetizers. Our heavier appetizer was two orders of the Bolón Mixto for $10. Bolon refers to a green plantain ball, and they offer the traditional cheese version along with chicharron, or with camarones/shrimp. The mixto combines the cheese and pork, and it was delicious, but very filling. One was more than enough, but we still enjoyed it, with the aji verde helping to reduce the overall richness. There was also the $6.50 Yapingachos/Llapingacho, or pan-fried potato cakes. These came two to an order and came topped with an onion and tomato salsa, along with some lettuce below. The potato cakes were a lot lighter by comparison to our other appetizer, but still flavorful. I would recommend them, as with other people who go here. Our smaller main dish was the Ceviche de Pescado for $17.00, or fish cocktail served either with rice or, as our choice, chifles or fried plantain chips. This was also available as a mixto, but I didn't order it as I have a pulpo allergy. There was a large amount of fresh fish inside for the price, making it very worth it. As with most ceviches, there was some sourness from the lime along with some fresh chopped herbs, onions, and tomatoes. It lacked a bit of heat I usually prefer, but I still liked it, and the whole thing was devoured quickly. Our other main dishes were all $19. My favorite of the bunch was the Seco de Chivo, with goat stew slowly cooked in home-made sofrito and beer, served with yellow rice, sliced avocado, and sweet plantain. The goat was cooked down until it was extremely tender, but still had a bit of chew, and there was a good amount of meat, even with the amount of bones in there. The broth was savory and mildly sweet, being warming, comforting, and perfect on top of the rice. This was excellent. For most of the other group, their favorite was the Chaulafan, a mix of stir-fried rice with chicken, beef, shrimp, egg, and veggies served with sweet plantain and avocado. The rice had a nice texture with some lightly crispy portions and was mildly salty. The meat inside was mostly very tender, regardless of what meat it was. This was excellent as well. The remaining dish was the Sango de Camarones, listed as a tropical dish and a purée of green plantains, slowly cooked in peanut sauce and shrimp, and topped with citrus red onions served with yellow rice and sliced avocado. The dish had a unique, almost gruel-like texture, which was a bit off-putting to some, but others like myself liked it. The shrimp inside was tender, and the dish felt a bit richer than the other mains. This was probably our least favorite main, but it was still good. We were quite full, but got some $7 Flan for dessert, which is in-house made. It wasn't overly sweet, which is my preference, and the texture was semi-soft. It was a good version, and the portion was large for the price. We liked this as well. Not many complaints here. Friendly service and good, reasonably priced food.
