It was our first time here and everything was delicious. To drink we ordered micheladas I got the Tostiloco michelada and my boyfriend the one with shrimp both were really good. I got the aguachile tostada witch was made really good and had plenty of shrimp and it was at a great price. My boyfriend ordered shrimp tostadas were good but had a little to much cucumber and pico de Gallo. As an appetizer we got the shrimp in salsa Chicago which were so good we definitely recommend! Ok came back to try their food! Honestly it sucked! I ordered bacon wrapped shrimp, came with salad and rice! My salad had a long hair in it. My husband ordered a shrimp tostado no onions-his came back full of inions. When I let my waitress Victoria know and showed her the hair she looked at me as if I was crazy and asked if I would like her to remake my plate. Do you think!!!! Looks like a nice place but the food is not good and I really wouldn't recommend taking your kids as their kids menu only has the choice of a hamburger or chicken nuggets. Don't waste your time here. My friends and I waited 20-25 minutes to order drinks. the first server came and asked us what we wanted and didn't see her for the rest of the night. The second server (his name was Javier) was very unprofessional. Cursed as he was talking to us. He seemed young but really? Kept coming back to repeat our orders about 3 times even though he wrote them down. One order was wrong. At the end when everyone was ready to pay he wrote down everything everyone ordered. He charged my friend for my order. Blamed the system! He asked me to pay my friend the difference... as if it was my fault. He offered to give us a free michetorre for his mistake. This place isn't the best, let me tell you. I've been to other Mexican/Sea food places in town that have been better with reasonable prices for food and drinks. I went tonight and paid 9 dollars for 3 cokes, I think that's pretty ridiculous. I ordered the mojara and it was decent although you could tell that the rice was old rice, the veggies in it were mush and gross. My girlfriend ordered the two tacos, her rice was the same and her shrimp were over cooked and the refried beans were watered down and disgusting. I figured if they specialize in sea food they would at least cook shrimp right. I didn't have a drink which is what they sponsor the most, although this just wasn't good period. I have passed by this place so many times. Well yesterday we decided to go have lunch. We arrived around 1 and we're greeted right away they sat us down gave us menus and took our drink order. The waitress returned with these round chips and salsa. I order the whole fried fish which came with rice beans and french fries and a small salad. The food was delivered in a really good timely manner. I think the portions of beans and rice were small. I could have done without the French fries. It was served with two corn tortillas. Flavor was good I enjoyed the salad. The place looks clean, it seemed pretty full. The waitress was very friendly and I liked that. Prices are kind of higher because it has lot's of seafood dishes. Average price is about $16 dollars a plate. So if your wanting seafood it might be a place you'd like to try. And they are known for their micheladas. But if you your on a limited budget you'd might want to try a different place with a wider variety of dishes. read more

My friend and I went to have a drink for the first time and the bartender was super rude to me he told me the bar area was full and we couldn't order the people sitting there were dancing and will be back. I was confused and just wanted to order a drink not sit there, so I told him I just want to order a drink very rudely he said I had to go to the end of the bar to order a drink. I only gave this crap hole a star because our server Maria Isabel was absolutely amazing and sweet. BUUUUUT, this crap hole is a waste of money. Food is terrible and OVER PRICED. We ordered a tostada mixta, 3 tacos presidente, and 2 empanadas. The tostada mixta had 3 shrimp and the rest was onions and cucumbers???? Where was the rest of the mixta? We only came because we were invited and I promise it will be our last time there. It was also disturbing that the man in the bar had no gloves on while he pressed the straws into the drinks. My husband and I have heard great things about this place so we decided to try it out. We arrived, were seated and waited. A party arrived after us and were seated and served on immediately.. we continued to wait. The restaurant was not busy and there were at least 10 servers standing around doing nothing. Finally we got a servers attention. We were served our hot food before our cold foods and waited a long time for our food. The food was ok, michelada was fine. But the customer service sucked. I got a modelo michelada and was the best I've ever tried.. service was wack my waitress monica gave me poor customer service she was more worry about flirting with other customers telling them that were her boyfriends but just in work I ask her for the manager and she said they didn't have one for that day this place only has to improve their workers. I liked it! The tostadas and salsa that are served upon being seated are SO GOOD! My salsa would totally taste like this if I ever made any. Good consistency and not too chunky. I ordered shrimp a la Diabla and it was ok. The sauce was too smoke flavored for my liking; my companion said that it was the chipotle flavor. The rice was ok. The cream dressing on the salad made me want shrimp tacos to go along with it. I ordered garlic bread in lieu of tortillas to further my carbitarian agenda. We sat in the bar. The bartender chef lady was wonderful!!! I'd def sit there again. She served us a sample of the seafood caldo. It tasted like oysters...like oyster broth. My companion ordered a shrimp cocktail. The downside was that the shrimp was not deveined. Blechhh, that doesn't look appetizing. I ordered a Cantarito to drink. She said it was a wine based drink. I wanted to see the bottle but she didn't have one to show me (please God, don't let me go blind if it was moonshine wine). It had grapefruit and orange juice in it. We sampled the wine tequila. I saw the bottle of that one, but from afar. It was a velvety smooth drink. I don't like that when you walk in, you're assaulted with the smell of Fabuloso. I prefer being assaulted with the smell of BLEACH. I hope hey expand their drink menu to include a cucumber, Serrano margarita. I came to El Chilito on a Monday night to try one of their impressive micheladas. I got to say that the marischelada was pretty damn good. I sat at the bar and watched them mix up my michelada with a pile of shrimp on top. I ordered one tostada as I wasn't hungry. By the time the Chelada tostada was out I was close to full from just the shrimp on the miche. Highly recommend this place. Great miches and cool bartender. read more

If there was an option of 0 starts I would give that out. Service was so bad! LITERALLY we (husband and I) were there waiting 30 mins for someone to take our order and since NOBODY came up to us I had to ask my husband to go and ask who was going to take our order? So he goes and orders our food and drinks to the manager that was there standing. Then after waiting and waiting everybody food was coming out except ours. Once AGAIN I go ask my husband to ask what is going on and he speaks to the manager and the manager goes "Oops I forgot your order and ill be back" So now we waited already an hour no food or drinks and Then we decided to leave so I tell the manager that we dont want anything anymore but when we told her we are leaving FINALLY our drinks came but then our food nothing near close to being serve. So when we said no thank you we are leaving the manager said we had to pay for our drinks even though we told her we are leaving and not interested anymore she said we had to pay for the drinks because it was already in our table. So basically I payed for bad service and no food and no drinks! Then at the end the bartender wanna be security started saying that it had to be payed.
