This is the best spot for desserts. We are not coffee drinkers, but did try and enjoy the jugos naturales. The breakfast sandwiches are fresh made and filling- real fresh bagels. Idk who the pastry chef is but they deserve a Michelin star! Made fresh on the premises, each time one is carried out to the case, we want to change our order and try the latest delicacy. We were looking for an authentic coffee spot in Cozumel and found this place on Yelp. It was about a 10 minute taxi ride from the cruise port, located in downtown Cozumel. It's not on the main road, but just a few steps from it. The place is rather large and has a back room as well. They have a large selection of cakes, and the cakes are very large and look amazing. This coffee shop has sit down service and Spanish or English Menus. The coffee was very good! I had a double espresso Latte, my wife had the mocha latte float with whip cream and one of my daughters ordered a vanilla iced coffee and the others a strawberry milkshake. Everything was awesome. Just note, when you say iced coffee here, it means frozen, not with ice cubes. Make sure you tell them not frozen, with ice cubes. They were really nice and tried very hard to understand what we meant. Eventually it was cleared up and they remade the coffee. The cakes.. OMG.. the pieces are huge!!! The cakes were very delicious, just way too much to finish everything. The service was super friendly and attentive. Great service Definitely a great find and highly recommended. read more

Just what the doctor ordered! DEATH BY Chocolate and Granma Carrie's carrot cake (I made those names up by the way but that's how it felt while eating them). COVID precautions are taken while there! I don't know who added the address, but it was completely wrong! It's actually located on Calle 3 and Ave Rafeal E Melgar near a Lobster Shack and Gloss Boutique. As someone who can't drink regular milk, I was really thankful to find a place that had almond milk on hand. Their lattes are delicious! This should be your go-to place for coffee on Cozumel. Not only are the coffee, lattes, Mexican hot chocolate, mochas, and espresso delicious but their baked good cannot be beat. I had an absolutely massive slice of banana bread today and was told not to even try the carrot cake until I was ready to crave it daily. Considering my intense love of carrot cake, I'm taking this advice seriously. I was talking with someone the other day who visits daily each time he's on Cozumel just for their pie. El Coffee, or "The Bean" as some people call it for reasons unknown to me, also serves delicious breakfast well into the day (I recently went at 3:30). I can personally recommend the huevos rancheros and omelettes. This is as close to "brunch" as I have gotten without hurdling myself into a tourist trap. I don't know if it's possible to try all of the baked goods at El Coffee, but I have decided to make it my personal mission. read more

I loved this place until the last time I came. My friends and I all order croissant sandwiches, the guy with the bun took our order and menus and walked away. We waited for a whole HOUR and a half (thinking maybe they were making the croissants fresh) before we asked where our food was. He smiled and said "oh we don't have any croissants to make your food." That was the first time he mentioned this, and not once did he ask if we wanted something else or gave us back the menu to choose something else. It doesn't get better than this for late night decadence. Just minutes walking from the ferry pier or Punta Longosta. The fresh desserts were amazing. Yes, I tried 3 on 3 different nights. They are generous sized servings, enough to share. In order of yumminess: Carrot Cake- spicy with cream cheese frosting. Ask them to heat it up and add a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side. Apple Pie- Mile high. Super fresh apples. Flaky crust. Heat and serve aka mode. OMG. Coffee cake- lighter fare. Fresh apples with cinnamon crumble between the spicy layers. You can't go wrong. Open until 11pm. Decaf americanos are available. Free wifi. Service is friendly and efficient. That've a full menu that looked wonderful though I didn't try anything off it. They don't mind if you linger if folks aren't waiting for tables. They are open at 7am and serve breakfast. Had I known that earlier it would have prevented daily trips to Starbucks.
