This place is super cute. It's a little açaí bar located off a Main Street. It has a little garden and cute tables inside. They have açaí for only 100 pesos!!! They have a variety of teas and lattes and cute breakfasts. The staff is super friendly and helpful as well. This place is off the beaten path and very easy to miss, as we had to circle around the block a few times to finally note the sign. Service was friendly and fast and food wise, things are "Instagram worthy" in presentation. Sadly I was highly disappointed with the Matcha Latte. It tasted like water. My husband also didn't like his Latte I will give them an extra star because the place is cute and the staff is nice. Didn't try the vegan waffles because they were quite expensive for just a waffle. I ordered a tropical bowl and a small American coffee. The tropical bowl was tasty and a normal portion size for one. The Americano was tasted like I was missing the espresso shot (very watered down). The service was pretty awful. I arrived alone and invited 3 friends to join about 15minutes after I sat down. I was the only customer and we were the only people for the two hours we were there. The staff played music pretty loud even though we asked them to turn it down a bit so we could hear each other talk. The manager told us she couldn't because of the other customers...no one else came in. Then we went to pay and they charge for milk in coffee, paying with a card and definitely expect a generous tip after not checking on us even once during our two hour stay. I would recommend going to Peace and Bowl or Fresco Habito for a fresh bowl, great coffee and fun environment with friendly staff. read more

Really nice concept, but it still not yet there. The dishes are nice presented. The fork and knife are made of wood, what makes it hard to eat. The smoothie was delicious but very thick. The place is hidden, not even a sign, we where in the correct street, but we had to call them to guid us how to find the place. I spent the months of November and December in Playa Del Carmen and several mornings in Aloha Raw Bar. It has a great atmosphere and great staff (most are bilingual, We often spoke spanglish lol). I typically went in between 10-1300 and it wasn't busy. Was always able to get the table tucked away in the back of the restaurant and get work done. I'm a creature of habit so yup I got the same things weekly. The açaí bowls are pretty good, smoothies were sometimes bland (depending on who made them). Coffee was Meh! I've never left a bad review in my life, but the experience was just so bad that I have to. When I first visited in January, I had a really nice experience. The two women working were super friendly, the smoothie was great..... But when I went today the experience was completely different. I got my smoothie and I could taste this horrible fake maple syrup taste. I kept drinking it anyways, trying to see if I could enjoy it, but the only flavor I could taste was synthetic maple flavor. Horrible! So I went to ask the person working about the ingredients, and of course she showed me the bottle of fake maple syrup, with ingredients like corn syrup and food coloring. Why on earth would you ruin a nice smoothie with this garbage? So I asked if I could have another smoothie with only fruit, and the person who seemed like the manager or owner was super rude and told me that I would have to pay for another one. I tried to explain to her that the fake maple syrup is super unhealthy and tastes bad, but she just looked at me with the rudest most condescending face I've ever seen. My friends açaí bowl had the same terrible fake maple flavor and he couldn't eat it. I understand that maybe they like this fake maple syrup and think it's good, and I don't want to be this annoying gringa telling them what to do, but at least be friendly or receptive to our feedback and let me order something else.
