The cardamom roll was delicious as well. Most, if not everything, is made in-house. It's right near the popular Wet Wendy's if you feel like popping over for a margarita afterwards. My highest respect and regard for the coffee. And absolutely try the avocado mash on whole wheat bread.just excellent. By sheer luck, I've been able to visit Cozumel numerous times. And a visit to Coz has become a must for me. The aforementioned avocado toast. And the smoothie made with yogurt, honey, avocado and a dash of espresso. It looks grayish, but ignore that, as it is very tasty. The coffee is really excellent. And I now find myself buying a pound to bring back. I've found that it brews nicely with an Aeropress and with a Chemex. Different methods of extraction but both are enjoyable. I default to the standard James Hoffmann recipe for the Aeropress, alternating with the Jonathon Gagne recipe. For Chemex, I use the FourSix method. Highly highly recommended. read more

We only spent 5 days in Cozumel, but we made sure to visit Coz Coffee three times. I read about their famous "peanut butter coffee" & had to try it. I've made almond butter coffee concoctions in the past, but it's been a long time. Their PB coffee was perfectly balanced, super tasty, & gave me a burst of both nostalgia & energy. The staff was super sweet, too! They accept cash & card here. Prices are super fair. The inside is divided into 2 sections - a small, hot area where you can order at the counter, & a dining area with AC at full blast. There are also gorgeous tables outside. The walls were decorated with colorful art and Mexican paintings, and there was a whole room for indoor seating. My boyfriend and I both ordered the Spiced Iced Coffee. Service was quick and friendly, and pricing was very reasonable. I really liked the Spiced Iced Coffee, although I don't usually take my coffee black. I always stop by for breakfast a couple of mornings whenever I'm in Cozumel. My go to is there smashed avocado on toast, but today I opted for bacon, egg, and potato skillet with toast. The skillet was sizzling when it arrived and keep my breakfast warm throughout the meal. Eggs over easy, rosemary potatoes, and an amazing bread they use for their toast. Least I forget, the coffee beans are roasted on site and the americano I had was strong and flavorful. The waitstaff is low key and allows you to enjoy your meal without feeling pressured. Short version: not great service and decent coffee...I personally wouldn't feel like I missed out if I didn't return. Was recommended to go here by people on my dive trip. As everyone mentioned, the avocado toast is deceptively filling and the coffee is good. Someone else mentioned this in their review, but it seems like you're a hindrance and a mild annoyance to the workers there. They aren't very friendly (leaning towards unfriendly) and they have strong preferences about how their coffee should be consumed (giving my friend simple syrup when she asked for brown sugar, even though she knew they wouldn't dissolve easily, not giving milk and sugar in the peanut butter coffee because it doesn't need it...). We got our drinks to go because we were so hot and didn't want to drink outside. A cool breeze came so we sat and the barista mentioned that if we were going to sit here we should've gotten our drinks for there to save the garbage from the landfill. I am ALL for that, but the overall demeanor beforehand of the workers made me have the ick when he said that. On my first visit, I brought in my plates when I was eating outside as the dirty plates had been sitting there so I brought them in (no problem). I was annoyed by the flies but didn't mind bringing in the plates at all, as no one came to check on us when we got our food which was fine because we could just pop in and ask for what we wanted. I brought the plates in and was told to leave them on the table next time because I could've broken them. Again, understood but if you have preferences, make sure to clear the table. They gave me a sample of the peanut butter coffee and suggested I drink it hot the first time around since it was created to drink hot since the peanut butter might seize up with ice and lose some of its velvety smooth texture. I brought coffee beans back to Airbnb which created a couple more fans. The coffee cake was different than in the states in a good way. I came back three times during our stay and pitied my travel mates who chose an international chain over the "cream of the crop".
