My guests absolutely LOVED the food, the service, and the fun concept. I LOVED the convenience of no shopping, cooking, cleaning for dinner for 30+ people!! His prices are extremely reasonable, considering how classy he is, & how excellent the food was, and the exceptional service. Driving down Broadway toward the square en route to go see some family, both kids complaining they were hungry--my husband spotted El Coyote and flipped around. After checking out the menu and getting ready to order, we found they were Cash only, but only had about 1/2 the amount of cash needed. The owner was so kind, said "No worries, enjoy your food and bring the rest of the money back!" Wow. You don't get kind service like that much anymore! We ordered Steak tacos, and the kids had a Quesadilla and a Kids' Burrito. The Tacos were amazing- seriously great flavor, juicy steak....yum. Even served with a grilled green onion and thin sliced radishes. Kids loved their stuff as well. We found an ATM down the street, and promptly came back and settled the bill. My husband and I had El Coyote taco truck at our wedding in Sonoma County this July and we couldn't be happier with our decision!! Jose was extremely friendly and easy to work with. The truck showed up right on time, even though our venue was in the middle of nowhere, and were ready to serve shortly thereafter. We had about 75 people. Service was amazingly quick, and there was something for everyone to eat (including lots of great vegetarian options). All of our guests raved about the food, and lots of people got extra burritos to have later that night. We can't wait to visit El Coyote next time we're in Sonoma. They had a lower minimum that other food trucks and a great menu. they were able to provide delicious vegetarian and meat options with guacamole I nearly everything. Our guest loved it and raved about it all day. Just one point to be aware of - you will want to call them before the week before the event and make sure they know all the details. read more

These guys legitimately ripped me off!! Severly overcharged me for my Tacos! They have a sign that says $2.50 a taco for any choice of meat, and I chose fish and got 3 of them and got charged $12.75 on my debit card! I didnt find out until later when i checked my bank statements. The lady serving me gave herself a fat tip! If that wasent enough, I'm 95% the staff called me an idiot on my way to sit down after ordering confirming their nefariousness in this ordeal. As a place named "El Coyote" it's pretty ironic that they stole my money with the promise of something good...They charged me almost TWICE what I was expecting to pay. As far as the food goes, as a rarity, I was upset by the portion sizes. Most places in california if I spent $13 I would get a huge plate of food. I understand you can only fit so much ingredients on a corn tortilla, but it was mostly lettuce, almost no fish. Also the quality was sub par. The tacos were messy and they didnt give me any napkins to go. They also dont sport flower tortillas at all which just seems like an obvious error. Also it seems like no one in Sonoma knows how to make an awesome fish taco sauce anymore...used to be in the 90s and early 2000s fish taco sauce was the bomb in this Area of California..., this truck literally uses hot sauce as the fish taco sauce! No bueno...Just a rare misfire from a Sonoma Food truck; and a disappointing experience. I asked for extra limes and received none. The sight of it gets me dreaming about their delicious bean & cheese burrito--doesn't sound super exciting, I know, but sometimes a burrito really doesn't need much else. My husband loves the truck even more than I do and he has always been the one to stop and pick up the food, so I have never placed an order myself or even seen the whole menu, so I always stick with tried-and-true. I'm a local, have eaten here various times and will do so again. I've always been satisfied with the food here. I usually stick to tacos and suggest you try the veggie taco for a really healthy and delicious treat (made with beans, rice and veggies). I had a carnitas taco last time around, too and enjoyed it. Food is prepared fresh and so you have to wait a few minutes, and longer if it's a busy time. This isn't Taco Bell, remember! My husband likes the tortas and hamburgers here. Best Tacos I've tasted in a long time. The couple are really nice. The carnitas and carne asada are better than i don't know what...lol. I am addicted to this taco truck. Most of the time, it has lines down the street. If you like carnitas more than anything get there early, he usually has to make a couple of batches, because i take it that it's everyone favorite.
