I was craving for some carne asada tacos for dinner so I went to this restaurant because they serve Mexican food so I thought about tacos. I ordered two tacos and a pupusa. Since they serve Salvadoran as well. The tacos looked very big and yummy so i told myself i hit the spot the minute I had a bite there was no flavor at all. And talking about the pupusa the cheese had a weird flavor never ever tasted before anyways I believe they gotta have a better dish in the menu. Everyone is giving this place bad reviews for the Papusas wait time during their 1.25 special. The problem is everyone waits until those certain days then decides to go. If I want Papusas an extra 75 cent isn't going to stop me from buying it any other day of the week. This review is for the tamales. Very hard finding fresh tamales that's a decent size and has a good amount of filling as well. These tamales were certainly one of the best I've had in years. Did need a little bit of salt but other than that taste was great! They were not stingy with the meat at all and it was steaming hot when she gave it to me. The ladies are extremely rude. My mom placed an order on the phone and asked if they take card, to which they replied "yes, but cash is better." Mind you, we've been coming for years. When I show up I tell them the name on the order and receive a dirty glance from the cashier and an attitude and a snarky comment. As I was paying, I asked if I may pay with card and they said "no. Cash only." On the left of the register there's a picture of the different card options that they take and a picture on the front door as well. I wasn't allowed to purchase from them because I was denied using my car. I not only had to wait over an hour for a telephone order, but I wasn't allowed to pay either. I know that the customer is hardly ever right, but as someone who has worked in retail, I've never given someone this treatment upon first meeting them. I would not recommend this place unless you want to wait an hour for you food and like side-eyes coupled with rude comments for no reason. I'll be reasonable. Won't give them 5 stars because of my experience, but the taste deserves recognition, delicious! I pre-ordered my pupusas the night before, paid for them, and told them i would pick them up at 6pm the next day. I arrived at 710pm next day, my order was still not done and no one told me if they were working on them or did they forget or what. After an additional 10 minutes i asked the cashier if they could just give me a refund, cause i needed to be somewhere else very disappointed, but if u cannot handle orders, don't offer specials or tell pple to order a week in advance. The food here is great and moderately priced. The food is made to order, so expect at least a 30 minute wait, maybe longer if the place is busy. They have great pupusas and the best CHILE VERDE I have had for years. There have been times I have shown up and left after no attention, service is not to be rated high, but the food is. Cashier/waitress was hot! English wasn't the best and I don't speak any Spanish. Story of my life. 4* Liked the pupusas but very limited in selections. I usually like chicken or spinach and cheese, but they have neither. I ordered the pork and cheese and were pretty good. The services is THE WORST! The ladies that work there look at you like "What hell do you want?" 2. The Staff is Understaff! Too many Chiefs not enough Indians. It's ok. My husband had a revuelta pupusa, a cheese and loroco and a chicharron. They got his order wrong and gave him a bean and cheese pupusa instead of the chicharron. We wanted to say something, but the wait was just too long for us. I had a chicken tamal. Nothing to brag about. It lacked flavor. And my son had two revuleta pupusas. No complaints from him. They don't have fountain drinks, so be ready to pay for canned soda. All in all, it was just ok. Been coming here for a while now for their pupusas. They're honestly delicious and fair for the price. Yes the wait time is long but they do advice you to phone in your order ahead of time. It happens they get backed up and you end up waiting a bit longer for your food but I do find it well worth the wait. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars it's because I have gotten in some occasions burned food or they taste a bit old. For the overall experience they definitely got my business. read more

This place needs more customers and positive reviews! Came here during lunch hour because my coworker wanted pupusas. There were not many people in the restaurant and only two people working. The service was a bit slow, but I'm thinking it's because they've never anticipated such a big crowd (we had 8 people with us). Literally took us 30 minutes to get our food, you'd think they would be better prepared. But the food came out freshly made and was delicious! I called in an hour in advance so the food could be ready since I was going on my lunch break got there and they said it'd be 5 more mins.... 15 mins later I asked if it was almost done and she told me they were just about to throw them on the grill.
