For many years this has been my families favorite local Torta restaurant. Parking is a hit or miss near the entrance as it is located in a busy shopping center- the restaurant is located to the right so its parking is limited to sharing with near by stores. My go-to menu item has always been the torta Cubana. Although, I felt that they have recently made them a bit smaller than what I recall but regardless the taste is great. My absolute favorites about this place are the Aguas frescas, if I don't get a watermelon water it will always be my horchata (10/10), if you like your drinks on the sweeter side these are definitely for you. Service is always good here, the waitress was very attentive and offered plenty of help! They have plenty of seating so that's never a worry as well. Be careful when paying. We ordered Two Tortas and one Agua Fresca the bill was in the low $30's and we rounded off to $40 to include the tip. The next day I noticed that we were charged $50 dollars, so I called to ask about the discrepancy and A random girl answered and I began to explain my situation and before I was fully finished she said that I did round off to $50 and left a $17 tip!! I said that was a mistake and we only round off to $40 and asked for her name and she refused to give it to me instead she took my number and said the manager will be calling me back. It's been 3 days and still nothing, I grew up in the area and I remembered when this location originally opened back in the early 2000's I no longer live there but I still stop by every time we drive through the area. I lived in this area for the last 15 years... and although i have seen this place many times, i never actually got the chance to stop by. The restaurant itself is huge and has plenty of seating for multiple families or if you decided to dine in solo. The service was fast. I received my food and drinks in probably about 10 minutes around 9 pm on a Sunday. I ordered 2 Tortas (The Fonda and the Picosita), 2 tacos (asada + marinated pork), and a watermelon juice. The watermelon juice was one of the tastiest and refreshing juice i have had in a long time. Easily 5/5. The tacos were good... but, not great. Rate them 3/5. I suppose the mishap here is no cilantro/onion. It just comes out pure meat with a bit of guac. The salsas could use a bit more flavor as well (both the green and the red). The are very generous with the salsas and sides of (carrots, onions, and peppers) though. The tortas were both good 4/5. I would have given a 5/5 if they didn't come out so soggy. They literally were soaking in juices (probably from all the onions, peppers and other fillings. Still... it would have been good to have a solid sandwich that i didn't have to use a fork with. Solid torta spot dispite the few things they could easily remedy. The juices are so good. This spot could live off selling those alone and they have healthy options of pure vegetables juiced. Was bumed as we left I noticed they have a torta special Monday-Thursday we don't come here often but it would of been nice for cashier to inform us. Never buy menudo here. Gross. It comes right out of the hot water. That is it. No salt, no sauce, and skimpy portions. You are given Chinese sause, lemon, oregano and chile. No tortillas but what apoears to be gorditas. So gross even putting salt did not improve the flavorless water. It went to the trash. If the owner cannot taste his own food before selling why should we? If you do not believe me, order it. Will never come back. On an average day, Tortas Sinaloa will cure your midday hunger. This was an average day... the service was average, my torta was average, and the waitime I would consider longer than average - especially for what is basically a sandwich. At least the music was good and the aguas frescas were delcious and refreshing. The restaurant itself is pretty simple. The kitchen is in the back. That is where the meats are grilled and the tortas are panni-pressed. This is what makes it Sinaloa-style suppose. Most tortas are actually not pressed. If you ask them not to press it, they won't, but then it's not Sinaloa style. Cada quien/To each his own. Along one side is the counter that runs the length. Behind it, the servers whip up bionicos and fill cups with delicious aguas frescas. The aguas are probably the best part of this place. They come in about 10 flavors from watermelon to cucumber to cantaloupe. I was suspicious that the meat in my Lomo (ribeye) Especial was actually not Lomo. It looks more like a chuck roast that was braised and then shredded. Ribeye doesn't shred. It cuts. I can say it was good enough for lunch at a strip mall with a Home Depot as the anchor. read more

Then an employee from the back of the counter came and stood by the register. As I patiently waited to order. She asked the other person what they wanted to order. Which was really rude!! Some straight talk. Customer service isn't their strong suit here. Employees are generally pretty indifferent to you and service can be on the slow side. I really think that's why they get just an average rating on Yelp. I think that because everything I've had here is great. I also wouldn't let it sit for too long, or even order it from GrubHub. Order there to go. These tortas have a lot on them, and if you wait too long to eat them, that nice panini toasted roll is going to start getting soggy. I'm always impressed with the amount of meat and ripe avocado. Plus lots of different cheeses. My personal favorite is the Caribena because I love the pineapple on it. It's a little expensive, especially the aguas frescas, but you do get a pretty massive meal. All in all, a good place where I will definitely keep returning. read more

It wasn't that it was bad, I ate my entire torta, but it was pretty bland. The carne asada reminded me of beef jerky and I couldn't really taste much else. My wife's ordered had a long hair in the sandwich, so they supposedly made another one for her, but when she took a bit of the 2nd sandwich, she felt something on her tongue, and took out another hair. Gross!!! We were starving, so instead of waiting for another sandwich she just ate the other half of the sandwich without hair. Take out only. 8/2/2020 We used to always make a stop at this place when we went to tournaments out towards Ontario, Upland and those areas. On the way back home, we always made a stop here for tortas and aguas frescas. My wife had been wanting a torta from here so I called and asked about seating. Take only they said. We decided to drive over. Since it's about a 20 minute drive we decided to order about 10 minutes before we arrived since they said it would be 15-20 minutes. I ordered a Caribeña. This is a pulled pork torta with cheese, pineapple, and avocado. And it was pretty good. My wife ordered milanesa, breaded beef steak with sliced hot dogs and avocado. She really liked it. But I thought mine was better. Typically when they had sit down service, the food used to be 5 stars as it was hot fresh as they brought it to your table. Minus 1 Star today as it seemed that they made our tortas right after we called. It only took us 5 minutes to arrive from the time we called, but we had to wait for the cashier to pay, then waited another 5 or so minutes to get our food. Our torta bread seemed really soggy in the foil wrapping which is why I believe they had been sitting for a while. Had they been fresh the bread could not have gotten so soggy. The lady who had poured our aguas frescas had attitude when we asked to switch a flavor saying she had already poured them. The cashier told us it should be fine. We had to ask again as the manager stood there it seemed fine all sudden and she changed the flavor. How hard was that??? All in all the food was good. Lesson learned. Do not order ahead of time. Best to wait in line, order, and pay to get more of a fresh and not so soggy meal. read more

Last time I come here. I wish I could give 0 points. They absolutely lost their touch. I ordered 2 carne asada burritos (1 for me and one for dad). The burritos had 0 flavor. How bad can you mess up a carne asada burrito? It didn't have any flavor. I took a bite, and was very very disappointed I didn't say anything, when dad took two bites and said what is this?
