Great authentic Greek food! Delish grape leaves, gyro. Owner is very nice! They have icecream too!

We both got the Gyro Special #1 and shared the Greek salad! It was very good- I really liked their tzatziki sauce! Will definitely come again. It was pretty inexpensive- $20- something for 2 people.

    A classic and chicken gyro.

Not great food. Falafel were oily and not tasty. They don't carry hummus. It is also over priced.

This popular food truck serves up sandwiches & platters (falafel, shawarma, kabob), gyros, fries, hummus, grape leaves, baba ghanouj, meat & spinach pies, and baklava. I stopped by the Mohawk Shawarma Grill recently for dinner takeout. There was a small crowd of people standing near and in front of the trailer waiting for their orders. There was only one person working the trailer, so it took a while to place my order (7 minutes) and for my food to be ready (20 minutes). Once my food was all set, I enjoyed it in my car parked on the street. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma Sandwich ($7.99 plus tax) and a Gyro ($7.99 plus tax), which were both grilled to order wraps with tasty fillings. The shawarma sandwich was filled with tender pieces of marinated chicken, tomato, pickles, fries, and garlic. The gyro was filled with gyro meat slices, tomato, onion, fried potato, and tzatziki sauce. I will definitely have to stop by again for some kabobs next time!

The chutney type one was my favorite by far, followed by the cacik and baba ganoush. The carrot and cabbage ones were a little too heavy on the mayo for me. The bread was delicious! Was a little concerned that one said it was in a dying Mall. But most of the food reviews were very positive. It was a little hard to find... GPS took me to the other side of the mall...which was DEFINITELY dying. Stopped in another restaurant and got directions to the Mosaic Cafe. The decor was quite colorful and festive. Added to the Middle Eastern experience. I ordered Lamb & Chicken Shish Kebab and a Side of Hummus. Excellent Fresh Bread. Outstanding flavors... meats were perfectly cooked and tender. Hummus was great with the bread. Salad was tangy. The Rice and Bulgar where OK... nothing special. The waitress and the owner couldn't have been friendlier. Like most places these days, it was a bit pricey...but these are the times we live in. Chances are I won't be back in that area anytime soon. But for a one night stand, it was excellent.

The regular menu offerings including Turkish & Ottoman grilled dishes, Turkish dishes, pan cook dishes, kebabs, stuffed dough. rolls, plus burgers, quesadillas, pasta, burgers, and desserts. The prices in the restaurant seemed pretty reasonable. I decided on the Oregano Chicken ($15.99) served with penne pasta and mixed greens salad. After I ordered, several complementary small plates of cold appetizers (pickled cabbages & veggies, kofta), and a basket of warm bread were brought out. These plated apps and the bread were very filling and tasty and I barely had room for my main meal. The main plate had tender boneless chicken pieces smothered in a creamy mushroom, green/red pepper sauce with creamy pesto penne and a green salad of arugula & tomatoes. The chicken and pasta were served very hot and the cream sauces were very rich and filling. After I finished, I paid for the meal at the front register and was given a discount for paying cash. Overall, this Turkish restaurant was a nice surprise stop for an impromptu dinner. I was originally planning to go to a sushi restaurant for dinner, but then I decided last minute to try something different. Yet another strip plaza gem!
