Trusted the reviews and we were not disappointed. A very cute spot, nicely decorated, just in a strange location because of the mall. The mixed appetizer was fun to try all the dips. The chutney type one was my favorite by far, followed by the cacik and baba ganoush. The carrot and cabbage ones were a little too heavy on the mayo for me. The bread was delicious! Our meals were also very good. I was personally not a big fan of the chicken adana even though everyone raves about it, but it was just personal preference. My husband loved it! Passing through the area the night before my flight out of Bradley Airport. Had a hankering for some Middle Eastern food. Checked out some reviews. Was a little concerned that one said it was in a dying Mall. But most of the food reviews were very positive. It was a little hard to find... GPS took me to the other side of the mall...which was DEFINITELY dying. Stopped in another restaurant and got directions to the Mosaic Cafe. The decor was quite colorful and festive. Added to the Middle Eastern experience. I ordered Lamb & Chicken Shish Kebab and a Side of Hummus. Excellent Fresh Bread. Outstanding flavors... meats were perfectly cooked and tender. Hummus was great with the bread. Salad was tangy. The Rice and Bulgar where OK... nothing special. The waitress and the owner couldn't have been friendlier. Like most places these days, it was a bit pricey...but these are the times we live in. Chances are I won't be back in that area anytime soon. But for a one night stand, it was excellent. read more

The server/owner was very pleasant & accommodating & the resteraunt was cute inside, but the food was not good. My guest ordered the babaganoush & sent it back immediately. I cannot eat eggplant, so I couldn't taste it for review. I ordered the kibbeh & falafel wrap, while my friend ordered the beef & lamb gyro & replaced the ganouch she had taken away with the Antep Ezme which she was much happier with. I tasted it & it tasted old to me. I was not impressed. She did not enjoy her gyro, and I was not thrilled with my meal as well. The falafel was not crispy & did not have a defined flavor. It was all very bland, even the tzatziki was flat. It was like eating a mealy mash of all the same with no distinct flavor. I did not enjoy it at all. The Kibbeh stuffing was decent, but gave me a stomach ache. It was in a VERY thick corn breading. Again, I have had better. Flavor-wise, the lamb shish is my favorite, but the mixed grill is a really close second with more meat for the money. A surprisingly solid Turkish Kebab House inhabiting a dying mall. The chefs cook with passion, and it comes out in their food. Worth a try On the hunt for some more tasty bites, and we find this place with tons of great reviews in a mall that we both thought was effectively dead. We decided to make the trek out, and give this place a fair try. So Enfield Square Plaza is effectively a dead mall. Lots of the storefronts are barren, and the few that are there are office spaces or random crash spaces. Beyond the standard mall walkers, there's not much to see beyond the few big box stores that inhabit this space. Next to Target is a main entrance to this space, with a small sign pointing inwards to lead to the Kebab house. A very small shop with a kitchen space and limited booth seating. We get seated but it takes the server a few minutes to talk to us. The single server was very kind and was very attentive to our needs, but she was slow in getting to everyone in a timely fashion. It takes another 20 minutes to get our order in, the lack of servers making the delay to get food that much longer. The food was much worth the wait though. Every bite we have was unique and tasty. The flavors presented are kind of Mediterranean preparations with indian spices. Like a spicy but creamy hummus with a earthy hit of cumin. or a babaganush with a healthy hit of tahini. All the dips were fairly tasty, with the babaganush being the only one that was slightly off texture wise. The Felafel was spiced well, and the creamy sauce it was pared with helped amplify the peppery and spicy notes of the felafel. The mixed grill was solid as well. Each meat was tender, cooked, and seasoned well. The standouts here were the beef shish and the korma shish. Both of those had really good levels of salt and were charred beautifully. The rices were mostly just starch, not a lot of flavor but they filled the plate. and the mixed salad was fresh and herby, chock full of tomatoes and onions. The desserts were also fairly tasty. They use a lot of pistachios, which have a little bit more fat content to them so they have a better mouthfeel when bitten into. On multiple occasions the head chef had to come out from his station to either clear plates or deliver cutlery. He is very specific on how things are presented and plated, and his passion shows in every dish he makes. It's obvious that there's great care put into each dish, even at the frantic pace that they work at. Despite the delays in ordering, the food being put out here is very good and a definite travel-to location if we ever get a hankerin' for kebabs. If you ever happen to be in the area to watch a movie, or you want to find a new place to try, then feel free to hunt this place down. It may take a little bit, but the food's worth it read more

It was a bit confusing trying to meet a friend here since it's essentially 2 locations across the hall from each other SERVICE: (4/5) - Waitress came by and was very pleasant, we did have to flag her down as she got a bit busy during the night - Food came at a good pace FOOD/DRINKS: (3.5/5) - Lamb Adana + Inegol Kofte Combo (3/5): A good deal, liked that it came with 2 variety of grains. The lamb was tender but a bit more spicy for my liking. I can't take spicy food and would've liked to have been told beforehand. The Kofte was also very well seasoned, liked the taste more than the lamb. Both were a bit dry however. - Balava (4/5): Beautiful and flaky, with just the right amount of crunch in each bite. I've enjoyed the food and service at the tiny spot they had in the mall in the past, but the new location is incredible. There are several different seating options - booths, tables, and raised seating toward the parking lot side that I think you sit on a mat, but I didn't get a close look. The decor is really gorgeous, with Turkish rugs, lamps, plates and pillow cases all around. Most of the space is meant to be a restaurant, but they're trying to make the front (toward the parking lot) more of a cafe type of setting. There's a couple of comfy chairs in front of a fireplace, as well. Miygul served us, and she was very friendly, helpful and informative. The oil-based sauce for the bread is ever so slightly spicy and sweet and something I would buy to take home, but unfortunately they don't sell it - the kitchen staff came up with the recipe on their own and it's delicious. Food-wise I recommend the mixed cold appetizers, but everything I've had has been great and well-made. I really hope the Kebab House continues to thrive, unlike the mall it's in. read more

We made our first time visit here last night and will be back soon. It was a busy Friday night but the woman working the front greeted us warmly despite the rush. We had two dishes - one small gyro plate - tasty chicken which came with a good salad, surprisingly good rice and a bulgar and chickpea side. The last could have used a little more salt/seasoning by our tastes but was probably better for anyone on a low sodium diet. The chicken shish sandwich was fabulous, mostly due to the awesome bread and tasty house sauce. They also brought us a basket of bread which I was still eating at breakfast this morning. As we were signing the bill they also brought us a complimentary sample of their revani - I will probably order one next time it was so good. read more

This is hard to find but WELL WORTH the search. It's in the Enfield Square Mall which is a whole sad situation. The Kebab House though is a bright spot. There is a separate section for takeout like a traditional takeout kebab shop. The formal restaurant area is lovely with tapestries, upbeat Turkish music playing and great service. I enjoyed a sarikiz mineral water, the delicious specialty salad whose name I can't remember and falafel pita! Will definitely be back soon! read more

A little Turkish Paradise in a mall that is clinging to life. I legit stumbled upon this amazing restaurant when someone told me to try another small restaurant which wasn't open and I was told that it had odd hours. I am always down to trying new foods and new types of food. The owner's wife was beyond welcoming and friendly. She explained everything on the menu and offered me a free bowl of soup which was lentil. She also gave me a free sample of pistachios which are from her husbands town in turkey. She also explained that they were free of GMOs and lightly roasted. I ended up getting a pita with chicken. Which was all so fresh and delicious. the pita was soft. She explained that they spend a lot of time prepping all the food since it's all made fresh and house. I can't wait to go back and try some other Turkish dishes. read more

We decided to skip the patches of snow and join the "walking dead seniors" for our daily walking at Enfield Square Mall. We had intended another place for lunch--but noticed a new place in the mall--Kebob House across from the cinema. Since Mediterranean is our favorite, and kebob are right up there at 10 on the scale, we thought we'd give it a try. Well, this is now our new favorite eatery in Enfield. What a serendipity! We had grilled lamb Shish, served with green salad, bulgar and white rice. Oh my goodness! I mean oh their goodness! Owner Ozzy couldn't have been more service-oriented, the food was outstanding, and even the presentation was spectacular.The lamb is grilled, they use only olive oil and some soybean, but are very accommodating about helping with the right choices. So many more menu items to try. This place could put the struggling mall back on the map. PLEASE patronize Kabob House. You will be so glad you did. And we wrapped our culinary delight with some baklava--to die for, and Turkish tea, again served with such elegant style. What can I say more than this will be a weekly jaunt for us. We stumbled upon this place not knowing it existed. Messaged them on IG and they were very friendly right from the start. After confirming halal status and timings they said they look forward to serving us. Went there on a Sunday night and while the place was pretty full, they brought a table from elsewhere, added it to a booth and got us the chairs we needed for our party. Food was delicious and very fresh with the meat being very tender. Many places may have a distinct taste with lamb however this place doesn't. The hospitality was great as they saw me eyeing the hummus and sent over one compliments of the chef. All of the various meals we tried were great. Although in a mall and limited large tables, the place is great and we highly recommend. They did mention they will be expanding at the same location so looking forward to visiting again. read more

I was very pleasantly surprised by this restaurant! I had seen it when I had gone to the Target next-door and figured I would order takeout my way home from work one evening. Everything we ordered was delicious from the kebabs to the falafel to the shepherd salad. They have a big restaurant inside the mall which is very beautifully decorated, but it was empty! In my view this is the triad of an exceptional dining experience: hospitality, service and good food, the absence of any one or more of these key elements, especially hospitality, a restaurant should be penalized atleast one star per missing component. I rank hospitality as the most important because how you are greeted, seated and engaged by the staff sets the tone for the entire dining out experience. Kebab House nails it especially with their hospitality. A friend and I had lunch there and from start to finish we both were taken by the staff's genuine friendliness, warm Inviting hospitality; couple that with good service and good food; you arrive at a 5 star restaurant experience. We weren't expecting much, with the location of this restaurant in the mall and us being the only patrons on a Friday night. But everything was delicious! We got the cold appetizers mix (I especially enjoyed the hummus and babaganoush), the falafel, and the beef & lamb iskender. I used to live in Israel, so I'm pretty particular when it comes to middle eastern food. Everything far surpassed my expectations. I think this is the best Turkish food you'd be able to find in the area. The iskender was a show-stopper by itself. The chef's care is evident in each dish. My father in law had the chicken shish dinner (which came with salad, rice, and bulgar) - he ordered the large and it was a great and a lot of food! My husband ordered the cheese pide, which he said was excellent. I ordered the falafel dinner (small) which also came with rice, bulgar, and salad - everything was wonderful - very fresh food and ingredients- I especially loved the salad with lots of flavorful herbs and spices added. NOTE- My father in law picked up the food - GPS brings you to the struggling mall and he had to ask the security guard where it was - you have to enter the mail at the mall entrance by the Target entrance. read more

We ordered take out because we were unaware of the Mosiac room across from The Kebab House where you are actually seated to sit and dine in The Kebab House Cafe, so there are 2 parts to this restaurant. The seating and decor is beautiful and cultural; it's an experience to enjoy. There are plates mounted in many different mosaics and fabrics on the seating cushion that are very pretty making the seating appear "sofa-like" and very comfortable. It's like walking into another world for a mini escape. I noticed the plates of food being brought to other customers and they were big plates. So you get a good and better amount of food it appears if you are sitting and dining in. Our take home didn't look as filling; but the food was hot and fragrant from the bag! You can smell the spices and they will lure you, and maybe cause a little salivation. We ordered a chicken and beef shish with bulgar and rice, no salad, $21.99 and then an order of 4 baklava for $8.99. A bit pricey but this is fresh and blessed food! So not minding at all.
