Beautiful place, quite and romantic. Truly Mexican and the very authentic. We enjoyed our lunch as well as the wall arts and decorating characters. Friendly service, clean bathrooms

The prices are good and the food is great. Love the steak alambres, sooo good. The staff is always good and they don't bother you once you've paid your bill. We usually come here with good friends to enjoy the evening with. Awesome for dates or just to hang with family and friends. You always know the food is fresh when you order guacamole they bring a rolling cart to your table and prepare it right in front of you. The music they play is also very welcoming for my Puerto Rican side lol. My daughters Spanish roots come out as well when she tries to bust a move lol. Definitely recommend this place for people looking to have good Mexican food.

Chips and salsa! Green one had a kick to it!

Not my first visit here! Always very good. Tonight was exceptionally good! Went with different menu items, then our norm! My husband went with fish tacos, and a grilled shrimp taco! They were very full and full of taste!! I went with the item on the seafood column. (Oops forgot the name). It was very very good. It was calamari, shrimp and octopus in a chipotle sauce with red and green peppers! I don't usually do green and red peppers, but I did this time! The calamari was so very tender! Great flavor!! I would definitely get that again! Service was not too bad!

    Food and drinks were amazing!

WHAT A SPOT!! I absolutely adored this place! I don't really know where to start from...the decoration, the food, the service?!Everything was so good! The decoration, the menu, the food, the drinks, even the bathrooms shout 'Mexico'!! Very warm and cozy atmosphere and friendly stuff. All the drinks were amazing but I particularly liked the 'coconut pina colada' which was served with fresh shredded coconut. Wow! Detail that makes a difference: they have different glasses for each of the coctails. Nice! Starters and entrees were fresh and delicious. I had the steak which was served with sausages and melted cheese on top. Excellent choice! Detail that makes a difference: when you order guacamole, they bring a rolling cart to your table and they make it at the spot! The only disadvantage was that they brought us the main dishes 45 mins after we had ordered but that might be understandable since most of us had ordered steaks-well done. Check was reasonable. I can't wait to go back! Best Mexican restaurant I've ever been to!

I'm not really a fan of Mexican food (I lived in California & Texas for over a year, and have had enough Mexican food for a couple of lifetimes), so take this review with a grain of salt. The place itself is very friendly, and the atmosphere borders on over-the-top-Mexican. My family had a going-away dinner for an uncle of mine who travels to Mexico once or twice a year, not doing the touristy stuff, but hanging out with the locals, and he chose this spot, so that must say something about the restaurant and its food. One thing that I will comment on: it was a very cold and windy night, and in spite of the fact that we were in the center of the restaurant, I felt the wind every time the door opened and had to spend the entire night with my coat on. They have a wide variety of typical Mexican food on the menu (burritos, tacos, enchiladas, flautas, tamales, etc.), but hardly any of it is vegetarian, for those of you who care about such things. Among the entrees, the only one that I saw that was meatless was the veggie quesadilla, which is what I ordered. Standard Mexican fare. My sister ordered huarachas, but she was expecting a hot meal, so she switched with my uncle, who had ordered alambres. Both of them ended up happy. My brother ordered chicken mole, which is supposed to be spicy, but I'm pretty sure they altered it for our "non-Mexican" palettes, because that chicken tasted a lot closer to Hershey's than authentic mole. I've had and actually like good mole. This was not it. Although mole is made with chocolate, it's not supposed to be sweet, which this was. The takeaway: If you like standard Mexican restaurant Mexican food, you'll probably like this place.

This is a simple review. The service is always always AMAZING and friendly. The food it terrible AMAZING lol. No seriously the food is always well made and tasty as can be. The drinks, well the drinks are always well made, maybe even too well made considering they have a generous amount of alcohol. Overall it's a great place to go as I have gone May a time and will go many more in beautiful new Rochelle.

This is by far my favorite authentic Mexican restaurant. Gave this place 4 stars a few years ago, and I've been a customer here for years now -this is our top date night spot- it's a SOLID 5 stars!!!!!!! Mango & regular frozen margarita always hit the spot - get flavor & good amount of liquor- 2 things this place does great is DRINKS & FOOD. Love the Tamal as an appetizer and El pastor & Carnitas Mexican Tacos always hit the spot- the greatest I've ever had !!!!

This establishment is by far the most authentic Mexican restaurant in the Tri-State area. The food and service are exceptional. Try the table side guacamole it is so good you will trade your Chihuahua for another helping. Try the Bulldog King Margo and then ride off into the sunset with your sombrero a bit askew.

However, I'm happy to report that I dined here recently and had a better experience. Since the time of my initial review, La Casa remained in my periphery - mainly because my parents periodically visited and it was a frequent stop of one of my friends who lives in Bronxville. That being said, I was curious to check out La Casa again - and that opportunity came when my mother chose here to celebrate Mother's Day. La Casa is located just off the main commercial strips. The interior is pretty spacious with a bar towards the front of the restaurant and the main dining room split in two sections. The decor is somewhat under-toned with a cool color scheme and tasteful decor. This is in contrast with other Mexican restaurants that tend to go overboard with the kistch and warm colors. I will say the seats look a little tired, they could use some re-upholstering - and were a little lower to the ground than I expected. In addition to the indoor space, they have an outdoor section which was done up very nicely. The brunch menu contained a selection of apps, sides, quesadillas, tacos, and sides. We decided to start by splitting a few apps: brisket and al pastor tacos, a quesadilla, street corn, chips and guac, and more guac with tuna. All the apps were tasty - the biggest standouts for me were the quesadilla and the tacos which were all generously filled and had good flavor. For my main, I got the camarones a la diabla which were shrimp in a red pepper sauce placed atop beans and paired with bok choy. The dish was pretty good - the shrimp could have been a bit snappier, but I appreciate that they de-shelled them and the sauce and beans worked well with them. Dare I say the bok choy was the star of the dish? It had just enough flavor and added a needed green. We opted for dessert, and I got the grilled pineapple which was paired with (per the menu) vanilla ice cream or guanabana sorbet. I wasn't asked to choose, and was served the sorbet. I would have liked to have been given the option, but maybe that's all they had - fwiw the sorbet was good. The pineapple was candied and came as a large, thick ring - definitely needed a knife and fork to cut it up (which they provided); this was a good dish in concept but I think it can be executed better. Service was good, everyone was friendly and efficient. In my experience, service tends to be the weakest component of a meal on a holiday, but they did a great job. Overall, I had a good experience at La Casa. Even though it's not in my backyard, I would definitely return if the opportunity presented itself.

This restaurant has been around for about…read moresix years, and I'll admit I had previously dismissed it because it's located in an outer strip of stores where Harmon and Bed Bath & Beyond once were. I truly wish I hadn't--because I was thoroughly impressed with the food, the décor, the service, and the extensive menu. There are so many dishes I want to come back and try. From the moment we walked in, the restaurant impressed us with its vibrant, themed décor and incredibly friendly staff who made us feel right at home. Warm tortilla chips with chunky salsa and glasses of water were brought to our table immediately after we sat down, which was a great start. They have a full-service bar, and while they don't offer frozen cocktails, we honestly didn't miss them. I had a coconut margarita, and my husband enjoyed a passionfruit rum cocktail. He doesn't drink tequila, so I asked if rum could be substituted, and they were more than happy to accommodate. He chose a Tajín rim, while I opted for sugar instead of salt. Both drinks were strong, flavorful, and served in really nice, heavy margarita glasses. We both chose specials from the House Special Grill, and wow--what a great decision. My husband had the skirt steak and jumbo shrimp, served with a creamy corn salsa, and he loved every bite. I ordered the grilled steak with sautéed onions, homemade tortillas, cactus pad (nopales), rice, and beans. Everything tasted fresh, authentic, and perfectly prepared. We ended the night on a high note with dessert--one of the best flans I've ever had--paired with a glass of hot Mexican coffee. Absolutely delicious. Amazing food, great drinks, welcoming service, and a fun atmosphere. Highly recommend!

The food is top quality and service is excellent. the restaurant is also quite well decorated for such a miniscule place. The only caveat keeping this review from being five stars is the price. Mexican fare is known for being hearty, large portioned and affordable and having now patronized this establishment twice, I can say it is two of the three. The lofty price tag will unfortunately keep me from becoming a regular. Still, it is a nice treat once in a blue moon. Good show, overall. Fare: 5/5 Price: $$$

The place was surprisingly busy and there were only 2 servers which resulted in slow and inattentive service. The menu is ambitious and interesting but the food tasted very bland. We started with the Asian ribs and jalapeno poppers. Both looked unappetizing. The ribs were dry despite sitting in a pool of sauce which tasted burnt. The jalapeno poppers looked like something I would make at home and tasted that way as well. My wife's burger was OK, although she ordered it medium and it came pink so she had to send it back. My pork mojo bowl was ok, but underseasoned as well. Surprisingly the mojo sauce was bland as well when it's typically bold and garlicky. Overall I don't get why this restaurant has such stellar reviews - the food overall was bland and looked homemade. I wouldn't come back.
