Pretty good big portion servings, only downside need a spicier salsa, extra salsa that was brought out wasnt too spicy

Great tasting carne Asada, it wasn't soaked in oil and it wasn't dry. it was just right. I will be going back to try their other items

Chile Relleno plate. Surprisingly, I actually completed it all.

Delicious Food... Didn't taste oily like other places. Had the Chile Relleno & it was yummy... I still have a better place to get Chile Relleno but it's near the Border of Mexico...A bit far for an impromptu dinner... So, this is the next best... Hubby had the Carne Asada Tacos... He liked it too... The chips and salsa served before the meal were tasty. I got the Mexican Coke in a bottle because there's no High Fructose Corn Syrup in it... It's just sugar. I know this is a brief review but it is what it is. Lastly, the counter service person was pleasant & helpful. I think I'll try something else here next time... I was just craving a Chile Relleno... now I am satisfied

Had lunch here today with a coworker. It was very good. We both liked it. I had beef taquitos and my coworker had a beef torta. The chips and salsa were tasty as well. The owner is a nice guy. The place is clean and has tables and booths. Definitely worth a try if you haven't been here yet.

I've driven up Washington hundreds of times, but this weekend was the first time that I noticed the red MEXICAN FOOD written on the marquis by the parking lot entrance. If you're like me, you're going to investigate. I'm halfway through 4 carne asada and decided to write a quick review while I'm still enjoying the fuck out of these tacos. mine are topped with the hot sauce (as opposed to mild) and the flavor is out of this world! Alien tacos, you dig? I saw a comedian from the Midwest tell a joke about folks from socal that are always quick to the draw with a recommendation on where to get killer tacos. Duh; when they're this good, we're always wanting to share the locale. Damn, this asada is tender! One taco left now. suh gud. yum yum yum. imma try a breakfast burrito next time. They looked substantial.

The food smelled amazing as it was being brought to my table. The taste was also good with the perfect amount of seasoning.

Stopped by after running errands and glad I did. Got a chili rellano burrito and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'll definitely be back.

Authentic Mexican Food That Tastes Like Home!…read more We visited El Patio in La Quinta while vacationing in the Palm Springs area and WOW--the food was incredible! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was beautiful, with authentic Mexican décor, colorful lanterns, a koi fish fountain, and outdoor seating with misters. We chose the A/C inside . Even though we were visitors from out of town, the staff treated us like family--like we were compadres! The service was amazing, warm, and attentive. We started with horchata and Jamaica, and these are NOT your typical machine-made drinks. The horchata had that homemade rice, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla flavor, while the Jamaica tasted naturally made from hibiscus and wasn't overly sweet--just like my mom makes it at home. The fresh chips and salsa had the perfect spice level. We also ordered the Tacolgado, which was delicious and such a fun presentation! But the seafood platter was AMAZING! It included fresh oysters, octopus ceviche, shrimp, fish ceviche, and salmon poke. Everything tasted incredibly fresh. The poke reminded me of Hawaii! My favorite was the fish, while my hubby loved the octopus so much he called his best friend in Texas and told him he had competition! Then came the Trompo al Pastor. I'm from East LA and we even have our own trompo at home, so my expectations were HIGH. It did not disappoint! Juicy, beautifully charred al pastor with pineapple, onions, cilantro, salsa, small street-taco tortillas, and homestyle beans. I felt like I was back home at the taco stand! What I loved most is that this family-owned restaurant isn't just Mexican in appearance--the flavors taste authentic and homemade. We left completely stuffed with leftovers that were still delicious reheated the next day. My only regret was having no room for dessert! Next time, I'm trying the mole poblano and churro cart. The biggest compliment I can give: my mom would approve. The flavors reminded me of home. Amazing food, fresh seafood, wonderful service, and hospitality that makes you feel like family. Come hungry and leave feeling like one of the compadres!

LOCATION: In Old Town La Quinta, OTLQ easy to find, tons of parking but at times it gets busy so you may have to walk a bit. FACILITY: very traditional inside and out, clean, and lots of space between tables. MENU: rather massive, we usually order the same things so all the other options makes my head hurt so we just go with what we know. FOOD PREP: excellent, always looks the same which is a good things. FOOD QUALITY: some of the best in the valley. LIBATIONS: lots of choices and not too expensive, wish they had a locals city of LQ discount like some of the other options in OTLQ.. WAITSTAFF: very nice, everyone. OVERALL VALUE: if you order the right things, it is a great value but you can go nuts and spend a lot, tourist dollars spend well, upselling happens for those who want it and deserve it! TIP: Sitting outside is great most all year, we don't go out when it is crazy hot, but have dined outside in 100+ temps, we prefer the front outdoor space.

Since moving here some nine months ago I've eaten at a dozen or so. Some OK. Most very good, some great and even one awful. Guadalajara Café & Bar is an absolute stand out. It's my new go to spot. I knew I was in a good place when I saw how many people walked in and were clearly known to the staff as regulars. The decor is simple, clean and you can see the cooks working through the busy pass through. Plenty of parking. The chips are fresh, crispy and lightly salted. The salsa is outstanding with the right amount of heat. It was lunch time and I'm not much for alcohol so I didn't try any of the drink offerings this visit... next time! Between two of us we ordered the fish tacos which were excellent. Also had the chili relleno which, unless I'm mistaken was battered and fried when ordered, not left sitting waiting to be ordered, huge difference! And the sauce on the relleno was perfect. Also had the mole enchilada with it. Again, unless I'm mistaken the mole was made fresh in house and was the best I've had in a long time. The waitstaff was great efficient, attentive and made sure we were happy. And were they hustling! Busy place and they didn't miss a thing. Five stars across the board food, staff, venue... even pricing! To quote a famous movie line, "I'll be back" Sorry no photos, I was too busy eating LOL.
