I'm a big fan of Yolandas and have eaten at their various other locations many times. They serve excellent Mexican food at reasonable prices and have good service. They have several locations around Ventura County, but I've never had the opportunity to try this particular location until now. I was not disappointed. One nice touch that I do appreciate is that they have a salsa bar with several varieties of salsa to choose from. They will leave their standard red salsa at your table along with a basket of chips when you are seated, but feel free to also help yourself at the salsa bar.

A great place to relax and unwind after a long day/week with a margarita! The food leaves a little to be desired, but the ambiance is great and the patio is enclosed so you're never get hit by the sun or elements. I ordered the Chile Colorado and we got a side of guacamole with our chips and salsa. The guacamole had whole chunks of avocado in it still and was hard to eat. We resorted to using and fork and breaking it up into smaller pieces, just a little more work than we were hoping for.

Shrimp fajitas; asked not to be cooked in butter to make it dairy free! Naturally gluten free with corn tortillas. Felt great afterwards.

Excellent typical American-Mexican style Mexican food. The waiter was very attentive to our party of 6! Chips and salsa were served as we sat down and refilled when we asked. I got the shrimp fajitas and they were delicious. The fajitas were served with rice, cheese, guacamole, salsa and tortillas. I am gluten free and dairy free so asked for the fajitas to be cooked without butter, no cheese and had the corn tortillas. I felt great afterwards with no issues. The place itself is very spacious. We were sat in a large side room with a few other people and felt like we had a private room! All 6 of us enjoyed our meals. We ordered: shrimp fajitas, seafood burrito, pork tamale, chicken flautas, albondigus soup and the kids got a burger and chicken tenders.

We drove by one day and noticed The restaurant is really nice. We decided to give this place a shot. We were disappointed with the quality of the food. I thought, oh maybe it was just what I was served - chile verde. I asked my wife how she liked her food (shrimp enchiladas) and she was also disappointed. Same with my mom, disappointed with her food. Really nice place inside and out but the food is not authentic Mexican food. I changed this to a 1 bc I talked to my 10 yr old about his hamburger , he said it was the worse hamburger he ever had. He only took 2 bites of it. :-( for a kid to not like cheeseburger, that's no bueno.

We had a nice meal at Yolanda's. Service was great and our food arrived promptly. Seating was comfortable and our food was tasty. The sides with the fajitas were really good. Most Mexican Restaurants don't give you guacamole or sometimes not even cheese. But I got guacamole, Tomato and onions, and shredded cheese. The portion size was perfect. My son's chicken quesadilla tacos were good too.

Love the service and food here!! The Fajitas come in single and double order which are both great to share! One thing to note is that they don't come with rice.

We're out in the Valley tonight and instead of getting stuck in traffic going home we decided to stop for some Mexican food. So glad we stopped here! The food was sooo good and Ana, our waitress, was so helpful with recommendations and suggestions. Service was fast, even at 5:30pm. The ambiance is very family friendly with a great bar setup. Wish we could come here more often but it'll be a must when in the area!

Chicken fajita for two. More like enough for 3 or 4.

We were up to try a different Mexican restaurant, and somehow ran across Yolanda's as a good alternative. The parking is a little weird. Parking in back, walk around and enter the front after hiking up a ramp. A large entryway opens to an impressive looking salsa bar. A busser brought water with chips and salsa almost immediately. The chips were thin and crispy and house made. Not greasy at all. The salsa was well balanced both in sweet-hot-acid, but also viscosity. It stuck to the chips no problem. Pretty soon -- within less than 10 minutes -- our server came and took our drink order. Iced tea. It was most welcome on a hot day, fresh brewed and not from a bag n box machine. For lunch we ordered chicken fajita for two. It was plentiful, with the fajita mix arriving on a sizzling hot cast iron plate. On a side-plate were toppings and sides; the ubiquitous beans and rice. The chicken was tender and the veggies were caramelized perfectly, with charred edges. The seasoning and sauce could have been more... Mexican. I'd have liked more of a spicy rojo sauce. The sauce was more like a thickened clear broth reduction from the chicken and veggies. We could have added cholula or salsa but didn't. We were stuffed pretty quickly so we brought about 1/3 of it home. If you go with three people, you'll have plenty to eat. We never figured out the purpose of the salsa bar...

I had a shredded chicken burrito with rice, guacamole and sour cream. The burrito had a lot of chicken meat inside. I also had a regular margarita frozen. The alcohol content was weak. There was 9 of us in my party and they add surcharge for large party.

Neon lights, cute signage, and overall they just did a really great job with the design and execution. There's a lot going on but it doesn't feel cheap. Ambiance is definitely A+. For dinner on a weeknight we found this spot wasn't too busy but we also came after happy hour. It was a relaxed vibe. Service was overall pretty good. I felt like all of the gals working were very very sweet and nice. Also, anytime we stopped them to ask for refills and such we got what we asked for. That's my only upgrade as since it wasn't super busy, it would have been nice for the staff to catch the refills on water or salsa on their own/more proactively but hey, it was again a relaxed lowkey night and the staff couldn't have been lovelier. I'm just curious how the service would be if they were super busy? Now on to the food and drinks. The menu was very impressive! Solid cocktail and drinks menu. I'm bummed I didn't get a cocktail but my party doesn't drink so it was more fun to get an agua Fresca with them. The guava one was good and served nicely chilled. However, next time I'll definitely get a cocktail because their drinks looked fun and beautiful. The food was definitely the standout for me. I ordered the cheese enchiladas Suizas and they were a 10/10. Not comparable to most enchiladas I've had but the sauce was fantastic and unique. I really loved these enchiladas and I'd honestly get them again. Solid flavor in the rice and beans as well. My friends also enjoyed their meal and it seemed like everyone was happy. The pricing is a little steep for Mexican food but also the ambiance and presentation make sense to me why it'd be a little more. For the three of us the bill was over $100. And that's for three mains and three non-alcoholic drinks. Normally at $33-ish a person I'd hope for at least a beer with my enchiladas, so keep that in mind. As a special occasion place or a spot to celebrate this spot is truly fantastic. I honestly loved my meal so much that even with the price point I'd rush back and bring more friends because this spot is vibey. Nice staff and a cute spot to diner, 5 stars in my books given the quality, taste of the food and the overall experience.
