I love Peruvian food! I've had some great homemade peruvian food and been to some hidden gems out here in LA, and this place is certainly not it. All the food was bland! So bland that my daughter didn't even eat it (she eats everything) she had tarallin saltado, I had pollo saltado and it was dry with no flavor, my friend had chicken fried rice and that too was nothing to rave about. Some of the dishes were a bit underseasoned for my taste and portions leaning on the small side. Ceviche was a but underwhelming. I would opt for the leche de tigre instead. Is it authentic? Yes. Some of the best LOMO SALTADO I have ever had!!!!! Have seen this place a few times and deicedied to try on a whim. It was lunch so I ordered to go. Menu looks extensive and authentic, I will have to go back to try the rest. But the lomo tender cooked to perfection, great flavoring, not over seasoned. Tomatoes and onions were fresh not soggy, the potatoes were hand cut and fresh, alll over a side of rice. This meal was gone in minutes. Hands down a hidden gem, I will be back. read more

This place was way better than I expected, especially because hey had the big Peruvian corn with the cheese that I absolutely just LOVE. Other Peruvian restaurants I have been to don't all have them so it was a big thumbs up for me. This place really needs to just close their doors. First time i have ever been to this Peruvian place and i have eaten at several places that are authentic Peruvian. This place is disgusting i ordered chicken breast with beans and rice i specifically asked for the rice beans and french fries to be separate on different plates. The lady brings me my place with some sort of chicken filet that looks like it was something straight out of the freezer not to mention everything on top of each other NOT how i asked for the plate to be prepared. Then she has the balls to ask if this is okay like this... I ate two bites and walked out... never again Follow up on this meal the chicken was terrible tasted like frozen chicken i ended up getting food poisoning about 6 hours later. read more

So my family and I went here a couple weeks ago and I forgot to post my review so here we go...We were deciding where to eat when we saw this place and it said it had good Peruvian food.(Note to self we from Peru) We thought it was gonna be good,but then when they served us bread it tasted like it was so OLD,and then we ordered food and MY spaghetti that I ordered smelt that it was rotten, my moms food wasent even fresh and the fish smelt like it was days OLD (she got ceviche btw) and my other family members were awful as well. We went to the bathroom too to go you know do our business and then we see this door with a bunch of leftover food with flies over it and that WHOLE thing made me loose my appetite. Great food, very nice people. I assume they were nice because they were smiling, but didn't speak a word of English so I'm not totally sure. They brought us free appetizers and dessert. This is my first time trying Peruvian food and this place doesn't disappoint me at all! I had the arroz con mariscos, which is Peruvian paella rice, and my boyfriend had the tacu tacu con lomito, which is bean and rice fried with steak and vegetables. The paella was not oily and the seafood was very fresh, the rice filled with the scent of seafood and fresh herbs and Peruvian spices. The bean and rice with steak was very flavorful as well. Unlike most Peruvian restaurants in the valley they have working AC and take credit cards! Lomo Saltado is only $11 still expensive but cheaper than $15 I usually see around here! Good service too, also rare. They seem to emphasize on the Chinese influences in Peruvian food versus all that roasted chicken you see all over Van Nuys. read more

I had been here at the Incomparable, many times and I like the fact it's very clean, food Is cooked right on the spot. I think by far compared to other Peruvian restaurants their food is very good just like my mother in law used to cook. However, they need to improve in customer service. Usually, they serve you bread and butter while your waiting for your food order, but there is no consistency in the service. I noticed several times when I come here to eat with my family ,they keep forgetting or ignoring us and other tables to serve us bread and butter so I had to ask this time the waiter if she can serve us bread and butter too and she answered me "let me see." and finally bread and butter was served but late with my food. I think if they pay attention to thesesmall details they can be really successful in the San Fernando Valley. read more
