Hospitality and customer service was great. This location isn't huge, small with in-door seating. I had the ceviche and it was delicious. It was just perfect, especially got a hot valley day. I got served chips and salsa as I waited for my plate. Who doesn't love chips and salsa. I have been back around four other times and my ceviche is always just right! Late post... we had our business holiday lunch at this location. The chef and staff were beyond accommodating! Great service, amazing food! It was a little tight but we were able to fit 53 people. If I could give this zero stars, I absolutely would. My friends amd I were met with the rudest person on the phone when simply inquiring about the pricing on a plate, and when we kindly asked what it would cost, the man on the phone ridely answered to check the website. My friend then explained that the website links to a Facebook, which she does not have, and he refused to give the pricing and instead began berating her for simply asking a question. I would give 1.5 stars, but not able to... Very disappointing quality. I have been to dozens of different peruvian restaurants on a regular basis over many, many years...and I definitely dont understand how there are such high reviews for this place. This is one of the worst that I have ever been to for overall quality. I firmly believe that most of these high reviews were given by customers with very little knowledge or experience with peruvian food. We dined there with 4 people, and each plate was excessively salty. The beef in the Lomo Saltado, as well as some of the other entrees which we ordered, was not even close to being tender...but tough, with almost no seasoning. The tamale was overpriced...server said that it would be pretty large, but when we got it not big enough at all, mostly masa with very little meat/vegetables/etc...not worth it, when I know that equivalent mex or central american tamales in the area are much larger, half of the $5.00 price charged here, and filled with a lot of meat, etc. Also, we constantly had to ask server for "normal" and standard dining items over and over again...it just became too troublesome. Will not be returning, and will stick with the other better choices in the SF Valley and LA area. I do not recommend. read more

Yesterday I was going to my Peruvian spot but sadly was close so since I was really craving Peruvian food I search on yelp. I went base off the reviews. 1. SMALL PORTIONS. I paid 16$ for my dish that only gave me 5shrimps and 8thick cut fries and soooo much onion. Usually when I get the lomo seafood dish I have paid around 13-17$ with way more shrimp and huge portions!!! I feel like o got ripped off ! Also my mom order something off the menu and they brought her something different and said that what my mom order which they where wrong. Came here on a busy Sunday afternoon, food was delicious! Although the place is pretty small, the food, and the service is amazing. I brought my 9 month old son with me and he left a mess everywhere, the waitress was kind and told us not to worry about it that she'd take care of it. For an appetizer we had el incomparable, which is cold mashed potato rolled into a ball topped with 3 different types of sauces and shrimp. My favorite was the green sauce. For our main course we had lomo saltado both chicken and beef, amazing. And for desert we had the torta helada, 3 different types of desert in one; cake, flan, and jello. So good! Incomparable means Incomparable. I'm pretty sure I can compare it to other places and find other places that are a lot better. This place has had its ups and downs with me. I think I prefer to take out than eating in, which I will explain in a bit. The first time I went was a Thursday, and some of the dishes I really wanted, I would have to wait until the weekend. We got the causa for appetizer and I got the Tacu Tacu de mariscos and my boyfriend got the Lomo Saltado. The causa was absolutely delicious. The portions were small for causa, especially for the different types they had. A couple were a bit spicy, but not enough where you couldn't enjoy the flavor, the others had either a strong lemon taste or a cream sauce added. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who has never had causa, the flavors were great! With the Lomo Saltado, you really can't go wrong with that dish, it was delicious. The steak was cooked just right and the rest of the sides were good together. The Tacu tacu on the other hand was not very good. The seafood was cooked just fine, but the rice and beans, it was just way too salty. I pretty much forced myself to continue eating, but I wasn't able to finish because it was so salty. I would not recommend to this dish to anyone. Maybe it is better to do on your own because you can determine how salty you want it. They were quick to serving us to order drinks and food, but after they did not come to the table to ask for anything else. I had to go to the counter twice, they didn't come back to refill the water. I get really annoyed if my water is empty and no one comes back for a refill. The only time they came back was when we were done eating. So eating at the restaurant itself, I don't think I would do any time soon. I prefer take out from them. The second time I came was finally during the weekend, but because I had stuff to do I got it for take-out. I had ordered the arroz con pollo and my boyfriend got the anticuchos and lomo saltado again. The anticuchos were really good. I guess because they only make it on the weekends, they can focus on the flavor and have big pieces. They also added corn to the anticuchos. The lomo saltado was also good as usual. When I had the arroz con pollo, it was absolutely good. Not many places will have it, and they only have it on the weekends because it is a dish that takes a while to make. They made it well, the sauce they used to cook the rice and chicken was so good, I liked how it was strong flavoring. Overall some of the dishes are good; others can use a lot of improvement. When they cook on the weekend it tastes a lot better than the food cooked on weekdays. The prices are a bit too much for Peruvian food, there are places where it is a lot better tasting, and lower price. They have a random schedule, so weekend is usually the best time to go. I still go here occasionally to eat, but it is not always my first choice when it comes to Peruvian food. read more

The service is terrible, and if you are looking to order what you see in the photos online, GOOD LUCK. We order Tiradito tres tiempos waited for it 2 hrs and they brought Tiradito a la huancaina, when we asked the chef about the one we ordered , he told us the one online in the photo was only made for himself but they don't sell it. We told the waiter why he took our order and made us wait literally 2 hrs for it and he said he was sorry he didn't understand what we wanted. Very yummy food. We had the lomo saltado, jalea, and causa de pollo. The maracuya juice was good too. We finished with a serving of helado de lucuma, which is a peruvian fruit based ice cream and it is SO good! The owner and lady who were there are very friendly and courteous. The restaurant is small but clean. I really liked the presentation of the food - it just looks good on the plate and tasted good as well. We will definitely come back to try more dishes. I'm Peruvian and both my parents are wonderful Peruvian cooks (they used to own a restaurant in Peru) so I compare restaurant dishes to my parents' home made dishes... And this place ranks up there with all the dishes I've tried. The chicha morada (drink made out of purple corn) was ok, not the best but I didn't go for the chicha, I went for the food and left very satisfied. This is definitely a good spot. Family owned restaurant with very personal service. The place is very small but the food is really good. They do have a seasoned chef. Food taste really good and all dishes are presented with an upscale style, a big step up over most average Peruvian restaurants in the valley. A good menu with good additions to the traditional dishes offered by average Peruvian restaurants. I had a chance to chat a bit with the chef who is a friendly young guy with a solid academic cooking background and good business vision. Just like every Resteraunt they have their specialty dishes and dishes that can be better, but what I do love about this place is that they really make you feel at home. They make you feel like you're part of their family, which is pretty sweet. I catered bocaditos for my moms birthday that was this past Saturday ( 11/2/14) and they exceeded my expectations. Gido ,who's the chef, decorated all the 8 trays that I ordered for my mom. Everyone at the party was asking for their number. There where large chunks of chicken in the saltado and the arroz con mariscos was full of fish. You get quanity as well as quality here. Wish the aji sauce was better. I think their Lomo Saltado ranked up there with my favorite Peruvian restaurants in LA like Marios, Los Balcones, Intas, etc. Flavor wise, the Lomo was on point and really flavorful. Their Aji was one of the best I've had. My only knock was that meat was not as tender as Ive had; however, not a major issue that won't have me coming back. My husband and I are big fans of Peruvian food. We tried El Incomparable today for the first time and we were a little disappointed. The service is very slow and our appetizer came at the end of our meal. We had literally finished eating the last bite of our food when they brought in the appetizer. For our main entrees, We ordered a lomo saltado and a chaufa de pollo, and we ordered anticuchos as an appetizer. First of all, the menu says that anticuchos is beef marinated in spices, it does not say it is beef HEART; the restaurant needs to fix this, it should alert people that it is heart they are being served. The hearts actually tasted a little like liver and the texture was slimy like liver. The lomo saltado had a really good flavor but the French fries were cold, the fried rice was the highlight of the meal, it tasted good and it was a good portion for the $10 we paid for it. With minor tweaks, this place can be a 5 star restaurant. read more
