Great spot. Only tried a few sides , but everything seem to be on point . Staff is good , food is fresh and consistent from the times I've been here.

Absolutely excellent pollo saltado. The chicken was tender and perfectly seasoned, the veggies were fresh and crisp, and the sauce tied everything together beautifully. Every bite hit. Service was just as good as the food, friendly, attentive, and fast without feeling rushed. Easily a spot I'd come back to.

too much calamari. This was left over that I didn't eat. They give you 4 shrimp & 4 catfish nuggets, the rest is calamari..

Let me start by saying I've eaten here over six or seven times at the beginning the food was really tasty. I would order the vegetable fried rice and then I started ordering the fried seafood platter. The first time it was absolutely amazing. I ordered it yesterday and the seasoning had no flavor And aside from that. It's supposed to be a combination plate of shrimp, catfish and calamari, however is mainly just all calamari they give you for shrimp in about four or five catfish so if you're not a big fan of calamari, do not order the fried catfish platter. I was very disappointed. The service is good. The ambience is OK. It's always pretty empty in there and the food is made fresh.

Yet again, i was craving some peruvian. My friend and i decided to check out fina estampa. Our server(i did not catch her name) but she was very attentive! She had suggested the yucca w a cheese for an appetizer- had a hint of spice to it, but nothing overly spicy. We got our usual lomo saltado(but first time trying here) And it was F****** delicious!!! My friend and i were very pleased with our meal!! Only thing that id say is missing is a liqour license so we could of ordered some peruvian beer. Will be going back for sure. Thank youuu

I've been going to this place for about 3yrs now! I've tried different menu items throughout that time, and I can never leave without getting a Papa a la Huancaina! Their food is amazing, the service is always fast and the staff is always nice and friendly! Perfect place for families. They have inside & outside seating, plenty of space to dine-in.

me and my mom were going to eat at apple bees for date night.... we saw this place and thought we'd give it a shot. OMGGG DELICIOUS, huge portions, great service! I loved loved loved we are definitely coming back. the lomo saltado was delicious!!! :)

Ordered through Postmates and almost didn't get all our food. My order wasn't complicated just 4 entrees no modifications but I get a call from the restaurant that they couldn't reach the driver since they didn't give him the entire order and that I had to try to call him to go back. The lady who called wasn't even apologetic. Since the driver had to go back the food was cold. Maybe it would have tasted better if I got it sooner. Portion size was generous though as we ordered the lomo saltado, arroz chaufa, tallarines saltado.

    Peruvian Tamal with salsa criolla

In my culinary escapades, I have tried to have Tamales that originate from different regions, whenever I can get the chance. I cannot remember the last time I had a Peruvian Tamale. So in order to refresh my memory, I had to try it once again. Fina Estampa is an authentic Peruvian restaurant on Winnetka in Chatsworth. Walking in, you are welcomed by a friendly staff and toe tapping Spanish music. While the menu has numerous Peruvian dishes, it also has Chifa favorites. These foods are based on Cantonese influences fused with traditional Peruvian igredients. There are also traditional pasta dishes, introduced to Peru and inspired by Italian immigrants. I ordered the Peruvian Chicken Tamal, their version of a Tamale that came accompanied by salsa criolla (finely choppen red onions and cilantro with lime juice and salt). Their green sauce is made with cilantro, jalapeno and potatoes. As such it looks creamy but flows wella, no taste of cream and only highlights the taste of cilantro and jalapeno. The proportions were well balanced to give the right amount of heat. As for the Tamale, it came to the table naked without a husk, banana leaf or parchment paper. It is made with corn masa and had the texture of corn bread. As a whole, it imparted a unique flavor. Apart from the chicken, it was also stuffed with an olive or two and a nice distribution of peanuts. I thoroughly enjoyed eating the tamale with its accompaniments. Service was superb.

Host/server was very friendly and very nice, considering the place was packed and she was the only one working the tables. I always get the Lomo Saltado but tonight I wanted to try something new... alas, they were out. I'll try again next time. Small place but great food. Empanada was flaky and spicy more like a croissant than pie crust. The Arroz con Pollo has a goodly amount of cilantro. The Pescado was not fishy or too garlicky. Kinda sweet and smooth garlic taste almost an Asian quality to it. Lomo Saltado is great as usual. You don't need the rice in this dish but it's a nice way to get all the gravy/broth. Parking is adequate. There is some outdoor dining area that takes up some of the parking spaces. The booth I was in had a bench with very torn vinyl that needs repair. TIP: Saturday and Sunday they have a combo brunch for $11.99 (01/8/2022). M-F Lunch specials (vary) ($10.99) Might be worth your first visit to try some Peruvian food.

Is this place owned by the same person who owned Fina Estampa on Topanga about 30 years ago and then on Corbin and then in Chatsworth?

Good morning, yes it is still owned by the same family. We were on Topanga and now on Winnetka

That side is named Kusina Ni Kuya and has a vast catering menu. I came here for a carry out from the Cajun side and picked as I did before, the half pound shrimp. The only difference is this time, I opted for the peeled version. This was prepared in the house Kuya sauce, medium spicy, with an extra of boiled okra. The dish did not disappoint and was consistent in texture and flavor, and a glorious mixture of spices as before. This entrée has a lot of oil added to it, but that is what brings out this burst of taste and satisfaction. Everything was soaked with the thick sauce. This time what I did at home was, I boiled a few golden premium small potatoes with skin, sliced them into quarters and added it to the mix. Once it soaked up the gravy of the shrimp dish, the potatoes ascended to a totally different level. So how does the peeled version compare to the whole shrimp version? I would say that the whole shrimp selection is the way to go. The meat is not overcooked and you get the flavor off the shrimp shells too, that kicks it up more than a notch. In addition, the fact that you have to use your fingers to get to the shrimp meat (though messy), heightens the pleasure of the dining experience.

It's a small hole in the wall place. It's cute, but don't expect a fine dining restaurant experience. They're currently advertising Dungeness crab at $23 per pound, but you don't know how much your piece weighs. Mine ended up costing almost $70, and it was definitely not worth it. That didn't include any sides either, I had to pay extra to add corn and potatoes. I also ordered garlic bread on the side, and it was the worst garlic bread I've ever had. It was soft, soggy, and had absolutely no crunch to it. The kids' chicken tender meal only came with two very small pieces of chicken. I was expecting more for the price. There was only one staff member serving the entire restaurant, and you could tell she was getting overwhelmed. Overall, it wasn't a pleasant experience, and for spending almost $200, I did not leave satisfied.

Loved the happy hour here, where you can get good food and drinks for a good price!…read more I came by to check out their happy hour Friday afternoon around 4 pm and it wasn't too crowded. Happy hour is offered daily 3-6 pm and 9 pm to close and includes both food and drink specials. They also offer all day specials on Tuesday for Taco Tuesday. I had the LP margarita for $9 off the happy hour menu. It was a pretty good margarita! We started with their complimentary salsa. I was very happy to find that it wasn't spicy but still very flavorful. I'm a picky eater and usually don't like restaurant salsas, but this was right up my alley. We then shared an order of their guacamole ($8.25 hh), cachetada ($6.25 hh), and a couple of tacos ($4.25 each). The guac was amazing as well, made with ripe avocados and just the right amount of salt and flavor. It comes with a giant plate of chips which were still warm from the fryer. I just wish there was more of it! For the tacos, I tried the ribeye, the gochujang carnitas (monthly special), and the regular carnitas. The regular carnitas was by far my favorite. The gochujang was okay but I personally found it too sweet, and the ribeye was a bit bland. I didn't try the cachetada as it was way too cheesy for my personal tastes, but I would recommend getting this if you like cheesy foods. My friend said it was like eating cheese straight up.
