A friend and I tried Anantra restaurant for lunch - and very much enjoyed it. It was super busy - we got the last open table. We ordered tom yum soup with chicken (delicious), seafood pad thai (my friend said it was tasty) and lunch special orange chicken (very good and a generous portion but was a bit too sweet for my taste. Very friendly service and a small(ish) parking lot in the front. Highly recommend, and I will definitely be back for the soup.

Craving thai my friend and I met up to get in our much needed girls time. They have a lunch special as well as many items to choose from on the menu. I'm prone to getting pad thai at new places but I opted to try out the soup as it was a cold and chilly day out. I got the Tom Yum noodle soup (veggie) and it was delicious and gluten free. Also their menu indicates allergies as well as spice levels which was extremely helpful when picking out something new to try. My friend got the lunch special tempura style shrimp and veggies (comes with rice and a salad) as well as a glass of r hai ice tea. Service was great, wait time for our food was fast. Private parking lot to park, also once you pass the shell station it's like two buildings down in a gated fence.

Super kind staff and quick service. Received the cutest presentation of my mango sticky rice when I got home! Restaurant presence was relaxing.

As a very big Thai food fan with my husband and seeing the reviews , we wanted to try Anatra . It is very close to our house, and was a quick skip from work during lunch break. The ambiance is pretty and really beautiful, the service as well. The ladies were keep making sure that everything was well or if we needed anything.(which is great & very kindly :-)) Coming to the food.. it was really good. But one thing discomforting, was the beef in glass noodles. It tastes very different and a funny way, which was not pleasant . I had to pass it and stick only to the noodles. It is really a nice place, that you should try. But for me, maybe next time I should try another dish :)

The ladies and the gentleman serving in this restaurant are very attentive and always smiling. That makes it standout Different from other Asian restaurant I visited in this area. The ingredients to every food is FRESH. The ambiance inside is very clean, relaxing and suitable for a simple yet relaxing lunch or dinner date. Yes, a simple date with your significant other.. very chill place. I love my go-to lunch "cashew chicken" with additional eggplant and my husband orders "mango chicken" with salad, then surrender it all with a Thai iced tea goodness. Damn I am a foodie. Lol

I love a good lunch special, and after living here for so many years, this was my first trip to Thai Anantra. I tried the sesame shrimp, which is #12 on their specials menu. It comes with rice and a salad, and at $12.95, it's definitely a steal. I also ordered their Thai tea, which looked absolutely beautiful, and I couldn't wait to mix it up. The staff was incredibly kind, and our food arrived quickly. If you're in a hurry during your lunch break, this place is definitely worth a visit.

I just got my food, pad Thai with shrimp and chicken, barely has any meat, almost no sauce.. no taste at all!!! Really disappointed!!! If you can't provide the quality and quantity you supposed to, why your price going up?!!

I've frequented Anantra both in Woodland Hills and at this location multiple times and it's been great every time. Today though, it was an exceptionally delicious. Everything tastes fresh and of high quality.

If you are looking for a great Thai food spot in the North West Valley, check out Anantra Thai. There are many Thai food places in the valley, (we are lucky) but some are better than others, some not so good. But Anantra is one of the best ones out there. They are also open 7 days a week to get it anytime you crave it. Their pricing is typical of most of the Thai places out there. The restaurant itself is very nice inside and out, there is plenty of seating inside, decorated very nicely. They have a private parking lot as well. They are usually pretty busy with take out as well as in restaurant dinning, but the service is still reasonably fast. Good food takes time to make, so please be patient, it's worth it. We got Pad see you, Devil noodles, prik king, broccoli with oyster sauce and an order of Tom yum soup. Everything was flavored nicely and a good amount of spice. We asked to have medium spice, I prefer more spice, but had to keep the family in mind. The one thing they don't have which is a bit of a bummer is they do not have the garlic red chili sauce that you typically see at Thai restaurants, they do give you sriracha sauce, which is an ok substitution, but not the same as the garlic red chili sauce. I like to hit it with the chili sauce and mini jalapeño's to spice it up. They also serve beer and wine when dining in. Bonus tip: if you are dining in, you can check in on Yelp and get a free Thai iced tea as well. Enjoy!

First time to dine in here and we had a great experience. Ambiance was great. Food was perfectly executed and it was tasty and the presentation was appetizing. The place was small so you can't throw large parties.... The servers were nice. Second time we patronized this place was a to go order. The Pad Thai was great but the chicken Larb was ok. I'm always on the look out for good Larb so that's how heavily I judge the establishment. Not going to knock it. Maybe it's just because it was a to go and an off day. I will try to come back and give it a go.

Solid Thai Spot around the area. The ambiance is so cute, the place is so clean and the presentation of the dishes is gorgeous. They have an extensive menu full of Thai traditional dishes. I did enjoy my chicken satay though the pieces could have been a little thicker but the flavor was on point. I'd say the places is more for the Thai American palette than the Thai flavors you would find in Thai street food/hole in the wall places. Definitely a cute place for a date night and they have their own small parking lot. Free Thai tea upon yelp check in. Looking forward to try their other dishes especially the noodles and the curries.

Review is only for 1/28 EVENING TAKEOUT Kind of sad, the pad Thai wasn't saucy and it was dry this time :( their pad Thai during the day doesn't taste the same when you order in the evening...it wasn't consistent.

Once you enter the restaurant, you'll notice that the inside won't win any beauty contests or score points for ambiance but the food here is delicious. My dad and I ordered a couple of egg rolls, a charbroiled beef with rice, and an extra large pho with rare steak, brisket and well done flank. The serving of pho was a generous amount that was befitting of the extra large portion. The broth was delicious and piping hot and I'm wishing I could have another bowl as I'm writing this review hours after having finished dinner there. The egg roll was delicious! The egg roll came with some mint leaves and that was such a great compliment of flavor when taking each bite of the egg roll. This was the first time a restaurant I've been to included mint leaves as a side to go with the egg roll and now I think I'm going to request that every time I order egg rolls anywhere else. The charbroiled beef with rice was good. It's a solid dish that deserves to be tried at least once and would be a fall back dish if you weren't looking to explore their extensive menu. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal and the service here was very good.

Server guy was chill. The food is served in a paper bowl, unlike the nice bowls you see in their pics. Tl;dr: if you're curious, don't waste your time, bafang is open 5min away Preface: I KNOW it's mall food, but for a restaurant that continuously pops up as #1 on Yelp whenever I search for food around the northridge/chatsworth area, I'm going to treat it as if it were a #1 spot. Beef noodle soup: to be very blunt, this was quite flavorless. The beef was dry as bones and looked like it was sliced with a mandoline. The noodles seemed undercooked and it felt like I was eating al dente spaghetti noodles. I got a medium spice level which didn't even seem that spicy, just a lot of cough inducing chili oil with no burn. Pan fried dumplings were ok. It honestly tasted like it was deep fried and not pan fried. Unsweetened black tea: hands down the best of the 3 things in the combo, which is quite telling. Honestly you get a decent amount of food for $15. But to constantly take the top 5 for recommended on Yelp in this area and waste my time to even look at it, it definitely doesn't belong remotely close to top 10.

The service was friendly and the wait was reasonable. Its located in the mall which means that you don't really get much of a vibe from this place alone but of everything surrounding. The soup was not spicy imo, I have a high tolerance, but it did have a good flavor. The noodles were thick and soft but they lacked a bit of flavor. The beef was soft and flavorful with the smaller bits of beef, which resembled ground beef, were very tasty. The soup was good overall but felt a bit too oily. The dumplings had a light crunchy exterior and the inside was juicy but it felt just a bit too mushy for me. Overall a good place and I would return to try something else.

This is exactly the kind of small business you want to support. The flavors were unlike anything I've had before, and I loved getting to try something so different. My favorite dish was easily the grilled fish. The bakwan jagung had a similarly homemade style. Depending on your preferences, it will either make you miss your mom's cooking or leave you craving a crispier, restaurant-style bakwan jagung packed with corn kernels. The soda gembira, like many Indonesian places here, use Sprite instead of club soda or plain soda water, which makes it far too sweet. The syrup they used tasted authentic, though. Overall, you may love this place specifically because the food tastes like something you grew up eating. However, if your preference leans more toward polished, restaurant-style Indonesian food, it may feel a little underwhelming.

We ordered them without meat, and they were rich, creamy, and coated in a delicious peanut sauce. I liked them but next time I'd opt to get them with meat to give them a little more flavor. 3.5/5. Pork & Shrimp Soup Dumplings - Exactly what we were craving. Each dumpling was juicy with a generous amount of filling, and once dipped in the vinegar soy sauce with fresh ginger and a little chili oil... absolute perfection. 4.5/5. Pork Chop Fried Rice - My personal favorite. The pork chop was crispy, flavorful, and cooked beautifully, while the classic egg fried rice underneath was pure comfort food. Simple, satisfying, and something I'd happily order again. 5/5. If you're spending the day in the Valley or find yourself around Woodland Hills, Dan Modern Chinese is definitely worth adding to your list. This isn't a cheap hole in the wall spot, so you'll pay a little more but everything was tasty and a great portion size for 2-3 people sharing. Overall, it was a wonderful lunch, and I'd happily come back the next time I'm craving dumplings.

My friend and I got the pork XLB, beef roll, oxtail, noodle soup, pea, sprouts, cucumber, and tofu salad! The pork was juicy, and the pickled cucumbers were so fresh! The service was so great as well - the waiter was friendly, and the food came out so quickly!! The restaurant was so clean, beautiful, and so nicely located in the mall area!
