Crema de mariscos tacu tacu y pollo saltado
    Suf L.

Okay, honestly, this place really exceeded expectations. I worked at a Peruvian restaurant for years and constantly seek it out in any new city (I've also been to Peru). Their piscos were great, and I didn't see you could order a PITCHER of chicha until it was too late, which I totally would have done and enjoyed a booze free meal, but the pisco was def worth it. They give you cancha to start, which I can eat all day (we asked for extra to eat with the ceviche) Onto the food. The ceviche was decent; we got the trilogy to try a few different kinds, but it was a little hard to tell the difference between the three (assuming rocoto, aji Amarillo and plain); the yuccas were also fine; I wish they were a little crispier, but they were definitely tasty. I wish we were with a bigger crowd so we could try more things. The entrees, though, were EXCELLENT. First and foremost, their tacu tacu is HUGE. The biggest I've ever seen, and the entire thing was the perfect texture, despite being the size of a guinea pig. The seafood was not overcooked, which is really hard to do in a stew. Really impressed. Then their pollo was also just as great; their chicken was tender and the sauce was really great and soy sauce forward (which I love. My only gripe is I wish they mixed the French fries in with the sauce so they can get coated in it. Call to make a resy if you're going because it fills up, and with food this tasty, I can see why. If we are ever back in Toronto, we will be returning here!

Came for early dinner with friends. Made reservations in advance. We had to call the restaurant. The server was great. Our guest was less than punctual but the place let everyone come before taking orders, very grateful for that. Food was delicious!!! We ordered dishes to share and it was more than enough. Definitely will return! So good!!

Best decision of my recent trip to Toronto was to visit El Inka. I came here on a Tuesday afternoon just around 1:30pm. The restaurant was not busy at all, which for me was perfect. I was dining solo, and just really wanted to experience some good Peruvian food that I haven't had in a long time. I ordered from the lunch menu and opted for two lunches - gluttonous I know - but I wanted to try the Ceviche de pescado and the Aji de Gallina. I asked about Chicha Morada to drink, but it hadn't been prepared yet, so I had maracuja juice (passion fruit). First of all, the ceviche was outstanding! It's a simple tilapia, but it was so perfectly prepared. I loved the little sweet potato garnish, and the tangy flavor was spot on. I felt like I was eating the ceviche I had back when I was in Peru. The server also brought a small dish of Peruvian corn (crunchy corn kernels) with my drink while I waited for the entrees to come out. These were perfect little snackers! The Aji de Gallina came next and it was also exactly like the homemade aji de gallina I had at the home I stayed at while in Peru. It was so reminiscent of homecooked food, and it was exactly what I wanted. Of course, I couldn't finish it all, and my server boxed it up for me to take home. Speaking of my server - a HUGE shout out to Alessandra who was so kind and friendly. Since the restaurant was relatively empty I had the opportunity to chat with her more than I might normally chat with a server. I ended up showing her photos from when I was in Peru and about being in Toronto for the day. I was just very excited to find authenitc Peruvian food since it's not something easily accessible here in my city. Alessandra was a delight, and she even sent me home with some extra Peruvian corn for a snack which I happily ate on my train ride home the next day. She definitely didn't have to do that! I really hope that I get a chance to visit this restaurant again! Also, as an American, the prices were really good. I spent only $34 USD for two entrees - so if in a normal situation when I wasn't over eating, I could easily have had a $18-20 lunch that was filling and delicious.

    Tallarin Huancaina con Lomo

Got the chance to try Peruvian food for the first time with my cousin. We first started off with chicha moradas. The drink was sweet, had the taste of cinnamon, and reminded me of kompot. I was also so surprised to find out that it was made from a special kind of corn because I would've never guessed. Overall, I thought the drink was very yummy and we each ended up ordering two of them. For the appetizer, we got the anticuchos. The meat was super tender and it was served with this sweet and creamy sauce. It was almost mustard like and it complimented the meat very well. For the main, I got the Tallarin Huancaina con Lomo, which is a fettuccine pasta made with huancaina cream, served with tomato's, red onions, gravy, and cilantro. The dish was nice and creamy, and I thought the tomato's and onions were a great addition, as they're not typically served in creamy Italian pastas. The meat was once again super tender :) The service was very quick, and the ambiance of the restaurant was very warm and friendly. I was at the restaurant at around 7:00 on a weekday and it wasn't too busy. Overall, I really enjoyed this restaurant and Peruvian food in general. I'll be looking to try more Peruvian and Latin American spots.

Absolutely loved every dish I tried at this restaurant. We ordered the paella (Arroz con mariscos) and also from the waiter's recommendation, Ceviche tiradito. Our favourite of the night will have to be the ceviche tiradito with the thinly sliced tilapia and that citrus sauce. Also love the large cooked kernels of corn sprinkled in the dish which gives it the Peruvian twist. It was a semi busy weekday night when we dropped in but we didn't have to wait long to get a seat. Though I would imagine it's better to be safe and get a reservation here. Service is also great and the restaurant is spacious, warmly lit with this organic modern semi boho style. I would definitely recommend!

Food pretty good, sat at the patio which was very hot (heat wave this week)... Apps very good: calamari, ceviche, porkbelly all excellent. Had the short rib which I can't remember the Spanish name (it's a Peruvian restaurant) and it was pretty good. Most people got the lomo salteado, which is tenderloin. It looked good and people said it was delicious. However Service is a 4. Perhaps because they were overwhelmed, but they brought the mains but no utensils... and drinks took forever

Finally had a chance to come by after raving reviews from friends. Place is pretty upscale, lots of interesting decor around. Service was fast but most servers seems to prefer spanish over english. Tiradito ceviches - Beautiful presentation of the ceviche and the sauce is quite unique. Overall textures are really fun, but the sourness from the acid is not for me. Fun to try. Pulpo a la parrilla - Another very pretty dish. Portion size a little small for the $$$. Sauce was exceptional, octopus was seasoned well. Octopus was slightly overcooked as its texture was less rubbery and more mushy. Nice to try, would not get again. Quatro causas - An interesting dish that is mostly potato forward. Mash potato with 4 different sauce/flavours ontop. Sharing 1/4 of the cake make its a bit hard to determine the flavours, so I wish there was more sauce on top of the mash potatoes. Felt overprices, would not recommend. Ensalada el Inka - House salad was tasty. Avocado dressing was refreshing and seeds gave it a nice crunch. Portions abit small for price. Nice to try. Anticuchos - cooked through the protein, but wish there was more charred on the beef heart. The corn was hella good tho. Will give it another try. Tallarin a la huancaina con lomo saltado - One of my favourite dish, kinda like a peruvian twist on alfredo fettuccine pasta. Lomo saltado is extra, but the pasta was my favourite part. Would recommend. Seco a la nortena - Braised short ribs so that they are melty and juicy. Sauce was perfect combination of herbs, salt and creaminess. Sauce was incredible. Would recommend Overall, abit overpriced for the atmosphere, quantity and quality of food. Will reluctantly come back, maybe only for the pasta. Almost forgot the best part, we got a small dish of corn kernels to snack on. That was absolutely fun to eat, but did not get enough.

Amazing food! Getting a table took awhile even though we had a reservation, but the food and vibes made it all worth it

This resto came HIGHLY approved by my peruvian friends. So because of their suggestion, one of our other buddies decided to host his bday dinner back in Feb. In terms of location it's located right above St Claire subway station. There is paid street and garage parking nearby for anyone wondering. The resto itself has an open kitchen connected with the dining area. Since we had like a dozen ppl, we ordered up a ton of dishes to share and try. The food was all extremely tasty, service was impeccable and the prices were also fair. For me personally, my top 3 (in no particular order) were: 1) Tallarin a la huancaina con lomo saltado 2) Inka creollo (sharing platter) 3) Pulpo a la parrilla Everyone came away agreeing that this is the best Peruvian food we've had in Toronto so far. A MUST return place for sure!

Yum...yummy. Authentic Peruvian cuisine. Make sure to make reservations ahead. It's that good!... enjoy. Wonderful service and attention. Parking may not be accessible but plenty of parking access in the residential area. Worth the truble.

Best Peruvian spot in the city. When we saw how extensive the menu was and how it was full of classic dishes, we got excited and ordered a bunch of stuff. - Arroz Con Mariscos: Standout dish. Really tasty paella, really generous amount of seafood. Literally every spoonful we had as we dug in was full of seafood and rice. Tremendously priced given the amount you get. - Ceviche Mixto: Great portion size with generous amounts of seafood. I'm used to my ceviche being more strongly citrusy, but this had a refreshing salt-of-the-sea taste. - Pulpo ala Parilla: Octopus was grilled and charred perfectly, texture was spingy without being rubbery. The side corn went perfectly with it. - Yuka ala Huanaina: Super creamy cassava fries which were oily or heavy. Also loved the side dipping sauce. - Maduros: Plantains fried perfectly as they were sweet without dripping in grease. A bit pricey for the size. - Maracuya Sour: They have an extensive cocktail menu. This one was more sweet than sour. Place is spacious and has a welcoming casual vibe. We were there during lunch but can see how this can turn into a lively party in the evenings. Service is friendly, kitchen is quick. Prices are reasonable. And given the breadth of their menu, there's something for everyone. Will definitely be back to try more!

This is their second location in Canada (first one being in Burlington) and they offer authentic taste of Peruvian cuisine. They're right outside St. Clair subway station and easily accessible by public transportation. The staff are very nice and friendly and very helpful. The restaurant has a cozy and positive vibe, suitable for business outings, date nights or hangouts with friends. We ordered different appetizers to share; "Cuatro Causas", "Yuca a la huancaina", "Anticucho", "Causa Acevichada". This was undoubtedly the best ceviche I've had in my life! For entrees, we ordered "Fettuccini a la huancaina con lomo saltado", "Pescado a lo macho", "Seco a la norteña" and "Arroz de mariscos". Everything was fresh and very tasty. I would definitely recommend this place and would love to come back to try more of their menu items.

First off the location can't be beat. The restaurant is right outside the St Claire Station on line 1. We got here during happy hour which runs till 6 pm and ordered quite a few items off the happy hour menu: chicken fried rice, pork belly, seafood platter and a 6 os steak dinner. We of course also ordered a few drinks. I had the sangria to start and it was so good that I didn't feel the need to switch to anything else. One of my friends had the pisco sour and she was quite happy with it and like me had 2 of them in the short 30 minute period we were there before happy hour ended. We were served Peruvian corn to start which if you haven't had it before is delicious and crunchy. The food came out quickly and was freshly made and hot. The pork belly and seafood platter were served with tasty sauces and a bowl of freshly chopped onions, spices and seasoning. We also ordered a steak dinner and shared everything family style. Be warned that everything on the seafood platter is fried so order something else if you're not a fan of fried foods. The pork belly starter and seafood platter were both accompanied by yucca fries which my group enjoyed. Our server was a wealth of information and very attentive. The ambience was warm and inviting and a welcome break with coworkers on a frigid winter evening when you want an after work drink but don't want to have to brave the elements.

The sweet potatoes surprisingly worked well though) - Parihuela (not as well-rounded as a French bouillabaisse, but still delicious with a variety of seafood) - Chicha Morada (delicious purple corn drink) Portions were pretty large, so I'd recommend ordering family style to try a few different dishes. Food was not a 5/5 for me, but service was above and beyond. Upon arrival, we had given the staff a cake to serve after our meal for a friend's birthday. We had the candles in our bag, and were planning on pulling them out when we were done our entrees. The owner, assuming that we hadn't brought our own candles, went out and bought candles for the cake during our meal. We were stunned when we found out! They then portioned out the cake perfectly after we sang happy birthday. We also didn't realise we had stayed 30 minutes past their 9pm closing time, and they never nudged us to leave. It seemed like it was the owner and his father running the restaurant, and I felt very well taken care of. I'm already looking forward to returning to Pisac in the near future.
