Anticuchos - Beef heart skewers are kinda hard to find around here, but this one has definitely caught my heart. Amazingly marinated, and grilled perfectly, the anticuchos came slightly pink in the middle. It gave a very good flavour and chew. Would recommend if you are adventurous. Yuca fries were crispy on the outside fluffy on the inside with a little sweetness on the inside. Quarter leg + peruvian salad - The salad was a premium salad with tomatoes, cucumbers and avocados! The quarter chicken was plump and was cooked very well. Also marinated very and grilled very well. Would recommend! Service was a bit slow on the weekday, but food came out nice and our water did get filled, so can't complain much. Would probably come back again.

Good Peruvian food in Markham. Had the Antiochos (grilled beef heart skewers), tilapia ceviche, 1/2 Peruvian roast chicken with basmati rice and Peruvian salad, the Jalea platter, lomo saltado, and the encebollado de pescado (fried tilapia). The grilled beef hearts were excellent and perfectly grilled and seasoned. The Jalea platter was good and perfectly fried and light even though they were fried. The Peruvian Chiu was well seasoned and was cooked well. The lomo saltado was good and the gravy over the fries with the meat was good. The ceviche was good and fairly good size. The fish was ok, it eas well seasoned it overcooked.

It's been a while since I came here, but it's amazing I got the half chicken, with yuca fries, and you have to get it with the hot sauce and green sauce, the chicken was tender and mixed with spices, it melts in your mouth, staff was attentive, this place was much bigger than their old one, more seating, if you want a whole chicken you can only get that for takeout, the ambiance was nice, a lot bigger and more spacious than their old location, the yuca fries were perfectly crisp and soft in the inside, and if we needed more sauce the waitress didn't hesitate to give us, decent portion a bit pricey but the chicken was worth it

They get 3.5 stars. The first time I went, the chicken was great: moist, flavourful and roasted to perfection with delightfully crisp skin. The Chica morada (purple corn drink) was a bit of an acquired taste - slightly sour. The Picarones were unbelievably light and crispy. Unfortunately they had almost no taste except for a bitter undertone and the raw sugar cane syrup was simplistic and didn't do much. On another occasion, got takeout from them. Arroz con mariscos (seafood rice) was pretty tasty & it was a big portion. Ceviche was tasty, came with fish & mussels & it was quite big. The seafood is not the freshest but it's still ok. The Chicken had a nice BBQ flavour with a hint of sweetness. The chicken flesh was a bit dense though.

I've passed by this place so many times and finally took the plunge on a whim. I got the Lomo Saltado, and the ceviche for takeout. While the price does seem a bit high, the portion sizes are quite large. $25 for ceviche is quite steep but the portion is enough for like 6 servings. I really wanted to like the Lomo Saltado, I really did. But it was honestly almost inedible. The beef was cooked to death and was so dry and bland. The rice had a nice flavour but was way too salty. I tried to mix everything together to try and balance the flavour but the brown sauce underneath was even saltier. That green sauce did add a nice flavour to the dish, but everything was just far too salty to enjoy. The ceviche was pretty good. A little bit salty but it had a nice flavour. I'm not sure if it was potato or yuca, but I've never had it in ceviche and I honestly really liked it. I'm not sure if I enjoyed the cancha or not. While it adds a nice flavour, the texture was very unpleasant. It was chewy and stale. Kind of like eating a handful of popcorn kernel shells. The chunks of ceviche were also not cut the same size . There's some big chunks, some small, and some strips. While I don't particularly mind the variation, I think it would have been more balanced if the pieces were more uniformly cut.

Seafood rice (arroz con marisco) was delish!!

I've been a fan of Los Chicos since they opened, because of their flavorful menu items and reasonable prices. I went back today for their seafood rice with mussels, shrimps and squid - and omg, it was delicious as expected and I was pleasantly surprised by the price! For $22 it overflowed my serving dish, and look at the amount of seafood shown in rhe photo! I was too hungry to dig up the shrimps and squid that's buried in the rice, but I assure you there's more!

This is my second time trying peruvian food. I'm a bit biased though, cause my peruvian great aunty comes over once a year to make peruvian food. But here's the review: Ordered the following: Yuca fries so delicious! That green sauce makes it so good, I don't know how to describe it. The taste of the yuca fries is not like eating regular french fries. For me, it's a bit bland... but once you add the green sauce it changes the playing field in your mouth. Ceviche had large chunks of fish and mussles. It was quite good. I'm use to the fish being cut up smaller. But this was tasty and filling. Lomo Saltado to be honest, was actually my least favourite... just because there were too many fries. Especially if you ordered yuca and then you find out your entree also had more fries it was a bit overwhelming. Plus the sauce from the beef soaked into the fries and made it taste a bit soggy and bit salty too. The beef was a bit tough. Roasted chicken (didn't get a chance to take a picture but was the highlight of the whole meal. I really enjoyed the way they roasted the chicken, skin was slightly crispy and the meat was tender. I'm a dark meat type of gal, so it was so yummy. I think the price overall was a bit expensive. But all in all, good experience.

Los Chicos is a solid 4 stars. Situated in Markham is this awesome Peruvian restaurant serving traditional fare (the menu is also completely halal). They have a takeout section in the front followed by quite a lot of seating in the back. Came on a Friday night of the long weekend and was seated immediately. The maître de was very kind and friendly, as was the waitress. I decided on what is a classic Peruvian dish - roast chicken with yuca fries on the side. My table also ordered the pasta/meat dish (for the life of me the name escapes me). The roast chicken was delicious. According to the menu it's slow cooked for up to 24 hours. It was so juicy and the skin was incredibly crispy. What really stood out were the signature Peruvian sauces which were quite amazing. The pasta was not bad but the spotlight here was really on the chicken. I found the pasta quite salty and filled with onions. The yuca fries were a bit too salty for my liking as well. In all, the service and chicken at this restaurant were quite good. I'd definitely r

This place was average. That word best sums up my experience. Came here to celebrate my friends' birthdays last night. The restaurant was smaller than I thought it would be, with not that much seating. It also wasn't that busy for a Saturday evening. Service was alright. It was good for the most part, but I did have to ask for our glasses of water to be refilled. We were also not able to order alcoholic beverages. This irked my dinner companions who wanted to enjoy a glass of beer/wine with their meals. On to the food - I ordered the quarter chicken leg and yuka fries. I liked the flavour and seasoning of the chicken but it was quite small in size. You can see the portion size of chicken to yuka fries from my picture. For $13.50, I didn't think it was worth the price. The yuka fries were crispy and good though. I also liked the two sauces that came with the dinner. As I said, this place was average and it didn't have enough to bring me back, so I probably won't return.

First time ever having Peruvian food! Fresh tilapia fish, sirloin beef sautéed, pollo a la Brasa.... Yum! And the most impressive dish is the Peruvian ice-cream!

I would say this is a 3.5 stars rating. The good: Let's start with the food. I ordered the 2 double leg chicken with yuca fries, ceviche and the anticuchos (beef heart). They were all very delicious, and well seasoned. I loved the 3 dips they provided. I dipped my yuca fries in all of them. The waiter was friendly and helped us when we settled in. The bad: You should make a reservation because the wait is long! I waited 50 minutes on a weekend to get a table and was told it was a 30 min wait. The anticuchos was just okay and was a bit tough, so maybe I didn't get it on a good day. I would come back as this is a nice Peruvian restaurant for the Markham area.

I gave these guys a 4.5 star at their old location (literally just judging their signature chicken) and after my recent visit at this new location I'm gonna bump it up to 5 stars. Incredible meal. Wow. Where to start. Ok first off, when I frequented the old establishment, there weren't very many items on the menu and it seemed like everything centered around the chicken. Now, it is a sit-down restaurant foremost, and then a take out restaurant second (the take out menu pretty much focuses just on the chicken still, you don't see the other interesting items). I highly recommend the sit-down experience. Two of my best friends are brothers from Lima, Peru and they told me this place is by far the most authentic peruvian joint in the GTA. Anyways, we had a HUGEEEEE spread for a birthday so we got to try a lot of things. Appetizers: - papa a la huancaina: boiled potatoes in a really delicious cheesy cream sauce - ceviche mixto: SUPER FRESH seafood topped with some red onion and garnished with some roasted corn (very punchy lime taste, just amazing) - anticuchos: OMGGGGGGGG my first time ever trying grilled cow heart. BRUH this dish is life changing. My goodness, I couldn't stop thinking about it the day after. SO TENDER, SO JUICY MMMMM Mains: - jalea: assorted SUPER FRESH fried seafood (tilapia, calamari, octopus, shrimp, etc.) on a bed of their crispy yuca fries - lomo saltado: soft beef in a unique peppery marinade served with onions, bell peppers and some rice - arroz con mariscos: I've had seafood rice at a bunch of other restaurants and this one is right up there with the rest. Packed with lots of seafood and amazing sauce on the rice. It might be the best bang for your buck because the dish is deep and the portion is very generous (for all you big eaters out there). - pollo a la brasa: THE SIGNATURE CHICKEN. As per my review for the old location, still "putting that swiss chalet rotisserie to shame!" Still true. Still super flavorful chicken. Juicy dark meat. Juicy white meat. MMMMM. Homemade Spicy orange sauce and homemade mild minty green sauce to go with the chicken. Side of yuca fries. Heaven. special of the day (secret menu item): - aji de gallina: strips of chicken in a creamy yellow chilli sauce and served with rice. Get a 2L inca cola (for sharing) to wash it all down and you have a complete feast. The portions tend to be on the smaller side if you are just ordering for yourself (EXCEPT for the seafood rice) so I would recommend coming with a large group of buddies to share lots of food. I had considered keeping my new rating at the previous 4.5 or even decrease to a 4 star all because of how expensive they are, but the quality of the food far surpassed my expectations, so I feel that they deserve 5 stars. Even though it is pretty damn expensive (I saw cartoon flies flying out of my wallet afterwards), sometimes you can't put a price on really good food. As an aside though, if these guys were cheaper I'd probably find myself here quite a bit.

Maybe -0.5 stars for slowness. Came on a Saturday night, and was told there'd be a 30 min wait. They have a takeout section too, but we decided to wait because I thought 30 min wasn't too bad, and the takeout menu was limited anyway. Unfortunately it ended up being closer to 50-55 minutes. Ordered Ceviche Mixto, Anticuchos (skewered beef heart), and Double Leg Brasa Chicken (with side of yuca fries). The food itself was pretty good. The fish in the ceviche seemed fresh, and the strong citrus was refreshing. The beef hearts were grilled well, served with a slightly spicy/tangy sauce. The chicken was juicy and delicious and accompanied with crispy yuca slices and two other sauces. Overall food was good, price was reasonable and the service was actually friendly. It was just unfortunate the wait in the beginning took quite a bit longer than expected with no real explanation or updates while waiting at the front.

Our go-to order is the quintuple (5 lbs of wings; 3 flavours). We usually get 2 lbs of nero's epilogue, 2 lbs of cleopatra, 1lb of pandora's box and some beers. I think All Stars might've been the first chain wing franchise in toronto (even before Wild Wings but don't quote me on that). If you get breaded wings they always come out nice and crispy. The meat is pretty good (you'll get a dry one every so often) and there's a decent amount of sauce in most baskets (sometimes the chef has an off night and doesn't put enough sauce but he's pretty consistent). The wings aren't the biggest but they're decently sized. Is it the best wings I've had in toronto? Nope. That title would belong to King of Wings in Stouffville or the now defunct Fanzone Wings & Ribs in Scarborough. Both which have the biggest, meatiest, juiciest, crispiest wings I've ever had. But All Stars is always solid. As a chain, I much prefer them over Wild Wings tbh. The service can vary greatly lol. Each month, my friend and I get a different waitress and we've gotten some bad ones to some really good ones. Can be a little dry but good. With the sauce, it made it great. Received 9 wings for the pound. Fries - very good. Crispy on the outside and tender inside. 1/2 slab ribs dinner: should be 6 ribs - received 8 (a small size). Whoop! The meat was tender and good flavour. Cold slaw: on the sweet side but good. Cornbread: moist and good. Service was very attentive.

The restaurant itself not too many seats, but the booth that we sat in was quite comfortable. No complaints there. All over our food fit. Ribs - 8/10 very nicely, smoked ribs not fall off the bone and it was slightly salty. But definitely hit the spot. Wings original smoked- 9/10 very good wings. If only it wasn't as expensive. Basically fall off the bone no issues good smoke flavor through the entire thing. Overall, really good experience would come back and try the brisket in the future at the table. Next to us said some good things about that and the pulled pork.

Been to this bbq Chicken a few times, and with large groups each time celebrating birthdays. The…read morerestaurant is very accommodating, and made sure we are being well taken care of. Really appreciate it! The chickens are delicious here, and you can get them boneless, wings, or meaty thighs. There are spicy and non-spicy options, so good for kids. Honey garlic flavour is usually my go-to, and I enjoy the thighs very much. The meat is juicy, meaty and very flavourful. Spicy rice cakes, cheesey corn on sizzling plate and kimchi fried rice are also popular items :)

Staff was friendly, I ordered ahead online and when we arrived for the pick up, we still had to wait 15mins for our order to finish. Small resto, not too many tables but nice and clean. The chicken wasnt bad, only that there was no distinct flavour between the 2 fried chickens I got. They both tasted the same. Had a nice sweet sauce on it. The only thing was that the batter was thin so the sauce made the chicken a little soggy, which was a slight turn off. The so-dukk was a bit on the dry side, the rice cakes were over fried and chewy. Also seemed like they just used regular hot dogs. There was very little sauce in it so it wasnt that great to eat. Not sure if we'll return to try the rest of the menu as this was a bit disappointing for the price.

Okay, just like previous review or ONLY REVIEW. This place sucks; it doesn't even deserve our…read morereviews...so this is a warning! I don't want to be sexist but my girlfriend and I came here because her coworkers (all men) suggested this place on Friday. I really don't want to judge men's taste but this was a horrible choice because there are better wing places in the area. We knew it existed because we live close to the community. We never visited or been to this place because there has been bad or no reviews on Google search. Also, from outside it looks like a tavern and it was exactly what we saw from inside. Just like a tavern, we saw two locals you would find in old community bars. The décor was old and run down...I know it's a bad word of choice but it's a SHIT HOLE! Whoever took over the business obviously didn't bother to renovate. The food is disgusting because the wings were half the size it should be for $10.99 for 10 chicken wings (size of frozen microwavable chicken wings) the flavour was not what menu described and they couldn't get category of spiciness. We also ordered fried pickles and it was the only thing they could get right but nothing spectacular. I can do this at home with my deep fryer. One of the guys ordered Quesadillas and it took him awhile to chow down because it was dry. We ordered beer on tap, bottle, and shots of whiskey. Nothing bad about it...alcohol is alcohol. The only problem I found with liquor was that they had different shot glasses for 8 people. It's not what you would expect in an establishment because their glassware probably came from a home collection. The service was not up to par, did you see this coming?!?!?! Of course. We haven't even sat down for 5 minutes and the Asian server/bartender were rushing us to order (didn't get a chance to look at menu) When we asked for a moment, that moment was half an hour ago (probably cooking in the kitchen because we were late and our friends ordered) did I mention, we were the only customers plus 2 locals sitting at the bar. The real question is? How they are still open? Who knows? Overall, if you are looking for bad food, service, and nobody to bother you. This is the place to be. *ahem* I won't be coming here again. If somebody suggests again, I will pass or recommend another location.
