The menu is so huge. Like. Too big. Cheesecake Factory big. I was trying to look at the menu to figure out what I wanted and the lady at the counter kept asking me what I wanted. I told her I needed a minute. They give you a beeper. It was done in a few minutes. Probably because the bagel wasn't toasted, and the cheese wasn't melted. It was barely warm. The latte was tolerable. I would suggest finding out what you're great at and nixing the rest of the menu. It's too much. I probably won't return. Maybe if I had children. That space is nice. Camr here for a quick bite on my way from SF to Tahoe. Unfortunately it was not very quick, and I'm not really sure why our food took so long. I just got a bagel and cream cheese, which took about 15 min to prepare. It also wasn't anything amazing. I got the Asiago bagel and it didn't have much flavor. I was curious of what they had to offer and decided to check them out one weekend. We ordered two sandwiches, Pesto Mayo (we subbed for chicken) and a Chipotle sandwich. We also ordered the pink punch smoothie. The sandwiches were pretty big and were filling. The Pink Punch smoothie was also very tasty! There is a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. They also offer an area for kids to play! This would be a cozy spot to come sit down and catch up on some work or even to meet friends! The woman in front , who took our order, was very friendly and she was the one who recommended the Pink Punch smoothie! So cute! Been here a few times now, it's just down the street from me and has some great breakfast/brunch options. The smoothies and crepes are so good, both the sweet and savory. This is not necessarily a bagel place, but they have bagels and I will say that the bagel to cream cheese ratio is perfect! Bagels have a great texture too! read more

I have been coming to Richmond two times per month for the last year or so ...and I'm always looking for bakeries /cafes . This one felt a bit more special than the others I have visited . It's a cozy spot , with an area for kids inside and outside . A large menu , so there's something even for the littles here . The outdoor area has a perfect green area in shade to catch up with the girlfriends or watch the littles play. The employees were welcoming and talked to all the customers as if they knew each other / maybe they did. Maybe regulars . I had an almond croissant and a horchata latte . Both were delicious. Continuing on my Richmond morning coffee crawl, I've received so many notes about this new spot El Jardín De Los Suenos. After driving by it a few times, I knew I had to pull in and say hi! There is a cool outdoor space by the entrance and the side of the building is vibrantly decorated so it's def hard to miss! (See pics just in case) Upon walking in there was a line of what seemed to be regulars of this spot which is always very special to see. There also is a kiddo area which is extremely refreshing to take note of if and when I come back on a Saturday morning. The interior is warm and cozy, and somewhere I could also see myself bringing my laptop to get a few hours of uninterrupted work done in. The staff is extremely welcoming and kind, with a cool menu full of items including crepes, sandwiches, bagels, coffee, smoothies, juices, and more. I chose a Juice to Boost Energy (Apple,strawberry, beets, lime) juice and was given a pager for when it was ready. Timely, priced fair ($7.99, see size in pic), and delicious. We really love this place. Kid friendly with a separate kid area where they can play while you eat and drink your coffee. Food goes from breakfast sandwiches/bagels to lunch sandwiches to crepes, coffee, espresso, smoothies, and even snacks. Full of mexican snacks to get you nostalgic! This cafe is a lovely addition to the great restaurants that are lining up on San Pablo Avenue in Richmond. We tried their bacon, egg and cheese bagel. Sooooo good. My husband tried their mocha coffee and said it was comparable to Starbucks. Very good. I had their chipotle sandwich, loved the flavors. They had some gelatin/pudding dessert that I tried. I don't usually make yelp reviews but this place definitely deserves one! Amazing customer service, such polite, kind owners who are bilingual and speak spanish as well! I usually order their chocolate babka and it's AMAZING! outside is flaky inside is soft and moist, my family goes crazy for it whenever I get one. I was looking for bagel sandwiches near by and I was so pleased to have found this place. I got the veggie bagel with avocado and egg on an everything bagel and it was delicious. The iced dirty chai I got is one of the best I've had (and only ever order chai). I was also happy to see they had alternative milk options! The service was wonderful, I was greeted by a very kind young man who took my order. The ambiance is very family friendly, bright, and refreshing. They have a big parking lot that's easy to get into, with flowers and greenery all over. They also had LOTS of snack and drink options that you might find at a convenience store. I would absolutely come here again, I just popped in for a quick bite but I would absolutely bring my family and friends here to sit and eat together. 10/10! read more

This is a lovely neighborhood coffee bar, one of the nicest new places in Richmond. Our suggestions though: the nice young person taking orders knew very little English and it was difficult to tell her what we wanted. We also wanted a latte, did anyone know how to make a latte? Or even know what it is? It appeared not. Coffee was supposedly Catahoula but honestly however it was prepared was not how it should have been. We went this morning for the first time. I had a hot chocolate. It was good. It tasted like Mexican hot chocolate. I tried some of the morning bun and that was good. My tooth hurts so I chose soft foods. I got a cheese and vegetables crepe. I don't recommend it. They pretty much turned it into a sandwich. It had mayonnaise. I wasn't expecting mayo. It had cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato and lots of red onion. I don't mind going again but I would not order that crepe. read more

Its often said that the little hole-in-the-wall places can be great finds. El Jardin is just that. We've passed this place over and over, sometimes multiple times a day, for quite a while. One day we thought "lets go see why cars are parked at this used-to-be-nondescript building. It was crazy. We walked into an abandoned-looking old office building tha's been prettied up a bit outside and wow! look at all this color and ambiance and a giant menu on the wall, snacks, drinks, inside play area for kids and tables for anyone to sit at! But that's not all. We've been here a few times and the service is always nice. And the food we've gotten was very tasty, whether a fresh cooked breakfast sandwich or a large pastry already on hand. El Jardin also has a variety of caffeine or juice solutions too for your thirst. Pop on in. You'll be happy. Very spacious cafe as it is a great place to set up and get some work done for the day. The cafe opens up really early, so it is perfect for early risers. The prices at El Jardin are incredible too. I was able to get a coffee and bagel for about $7. In this economy, that is a win. There is a huge parking lot in the back, and this place is accommodating to families as they have a nice little play area for kids. Cute mom and pop coffee shop with plenty of seating spaces. I ordered the Lox bagel thinking I was going to receive onions and tomato's along with the other condiments that were listed but I only received cream cheese capers salmon and hella spring mix. A lot of people came and left before I received my chai tea latte (bummer). I didn't receive it until I was done with half of my bagel. It took about 15 minutes I would come back but probably will ask the cashier rather or not they have the proper condiments for whatever bagel I order. Stopped by here yesterday for the first time they had wide variety of options from drinks to food to chips. Ordered 3 sandwiches on ciabatta and goodness they were SO delicious! Perfect crunch on the ciabatta bread too. I love that they have so many chip options I love chips with my sandwich. I am so happy we have a sandwich and smoothie place in the neighborhood. I've already been here twice and I love it. Ambiance: The place is great! Parking outside and plenty of seating inside. I love that they had a kid section so kids can play while you eat, my daughter loved it. Cute neon sign and foliage as well. Food: I got the banana-berries smoothie and the turkey sandwich. The smoothie was tasty and I think they only have one size, so keep that in mind. My sandwich was delicious! I thought I'd only eat half, they are quite generous with the portion, but I ate the other half an hour later. Service was great, they were kind and attentive.
