3/21/21 Extremely poor experience when the restaurant wasn't even busy. Our server visited twice- once to take our order once to slap our food down. She never checked back at all, my husband needed a straw and had to stand up to get it because our server was nowhere to be found. I ordered the nachos which had barely any cheese. It was mostly coated with pico, barely any beans, and noticing lacking portions. My tacos dorados barely had any chicken. Super disappointed. I hate when businesses pull these stunts and add to that awful service too- in an empty restaurant. The server from what I saw had only my husband and I to wait on in the front dining room. The other thing is that my husband and I took separate cars so I arrived first. I was promptly greeted by the cashier then ignored until my husband came in. The server never even bothered to come to the table when it was just me. The server who ended up waiting on me was more interested in cleaning up a vacant table. I was back in the area and where I'm living now has no decent Mexican food. Major disappointment. Get it together El Limon! This comes from someone with a lot of serving experience and I'm more understanding than most. read more

A pretty decent Mexican restaurant in really rural Pennsylvania though I had to remind myself that I'm not in El Paso, TX anymore. There was no complimentary chips and salsa like I'm used to. Service was rendered with certain cheerfulness, and our server was very pleasant and efficient. Drinks order was promptly taken after we were seated. It was busy, but not overcrowded, so there was no wait to be seated. It was great because we were very hungry. Al Pastor burrito was very good. It was a very good portion to fill me up, and my wife and daughter had to save one half for later. Overall, very good dining experience though I was initially disappointed in not receiving chips and salsa like I'm used to. If I'm in the area again, I will come back to enjoy some other dishes. read more

El Limon does it again! I've been consistently impressed by the quality and taste of my food at each El Limon I've visited in the area. I typically order a steak burrito with mole sauce, it's soooo good. This place was nothing too fancy inside (low ceilings), couple TVs, and wobbly tables, but the food certainly is good! Oh Covid-19, while you are seriously putting a damper on my social life and my cooking skills are getting better, on Friday's I look forward to ordering take out with my husband and binge watching something on Netlfix. This past Friday we got take-out from El Limon. I've primarily gone to the location in Conshohocken, but Royersford is closer to my home. Obviously we couldn't eat in, but we picked up and the inside is brightly decorated. There's ample outdoor seating, but it's facing Ridge Pike, so I imagine it's a bit noisy. We ordered chips/guac and two burrito bowls. I had the chicken mole and my husband ordered the beef with chipotle. They were so good and the portions are large. We both could not finish and actually had the rest the next day for breakfast. A great place to dine in once we can or pick up during this quarantine. read more

Food is very good and their outside seating is nice in spring and summer. Their internal atmosphere isn't so great.

Over the last 3 years this place got run into the ground, inconsistent quality of food, almost every order for takeout is incorrect or missing items. When I called to let them know we didn't receive part of our order the girl argued with me and hung up. Highly do not recommend. The food was OK and I did enjoy my chicken enchilada with mole sauce but I did not like the chips. The chips are on the thicker side and some of them were a little chewy. Both of my kids went with basic cheese quesadillas and my one son didn't eat much of his because he didn't like the way it looked with cheese coming out of the quesadillas. The waitress noticed and asked what was wrong and after telling her, offered to make him another one. My hubs and I love the flavor of El Limon's carnitas, but we DON'T love the huge chunks of fat that we often have to pick off of the tacos like we did tonight (see picture in case you think I'm exaggerating). By the time we were done, all of the excess grease solidified and made for a disgusting, pasty mess. I've made carnitas myself, so I know that pork shoulder/butt is fatty by nature, but come on. This has happened more than once, and we're getting tired of it. Get your ish together, El Limon. We were excited to have a close location in Limerick, but I guess I'll be making my own carnitas more often. read more

I don't have much to say about this place, save that it is delicious! This is the same El Limon that opened in Conshohocken and has been rapidly expanding as of late. From burritos and quesadillas to taquitos and nachos, they're all delicious! They have great salsa as well, and a tremendous mole sauce! Huge menu, too. Love this place! It has been in the area for a while but I never tried it until today. The service was super quick and they were really nice. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. But the food was the real treat. I had the chips and salsa, the salsa was super fresh and the chips tasted homemade. I ordered the loaded veggie tacos on flour tortillas which contained carrots, zucchini, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, cilantro, lettuce, sour cream, and cheese. They were perfect and exactly what I wanted since I don't love meat all the time. My friend ordered the loaded nachos which were also delicious. About $24 for both of us to have lunch and well worth! This used to be "el Tio" and I loved it. Since El Limon has taken over the quality of the food is different. Not worse, just not what I remember of the location. Food is still excellent. They've added pork tamales to their "specials"/"appetizers" menu. these are great. The Chicken Tortilla soup is excellent and can be a stand alone meal. They still have a great selection of tacos, including lengua, which isn't common in this area. All in all, still a great place to have lunch or dinner. read more

I got the enchilada al pastor. Its always good and flavor is on point. The taco al pastor though, I made supreme, but had little to no sour creme. Slightly disappointed but made up in the enchilada! The portions are slightly smaller than what I remember and usually when I dine in their other location, i'm stuffed. Maybe its because the to go container. I've been here twice. Both times it's been great. Chips and salsa were very good. The burrito was pretty big and more than I could eat. Tacos on the corn tortillas were delicious. Service was good. Can I just say how excited I am to have an authentic Mexican restaurant in our area? I was over the moon when El Limon opened and I couldn't wait to try it. The atmosphere is comfortable and clean and the servers are extremely friendly. Their food is amazing. I had the carnitas (pork) burrito with the salsa verde and it was absolutely delicious. Their rice is awesome and their refried beans are to die for. Now onto dessert and the churros - OMG!! They should be called "Better Than Sex Churros" because they are that good. Finally, the check comes and again, we were very pleased. For an appetizer, two full meals, dessert, and drinks, the bill was less than $40, and we were both stuffed. I really hope El Limon does well in Limerick as it's now my favorite place to eat. read more

Been searching for decent Mexican food for a while and unfortunately will still be searching. This place was surprisingly busy and I could not understand why....? Staff was very nice but the food was only okay at best. My husband ordered a Carne Asada fajita platter and I had brisket tacos. His platter of meat was like over done thick steak slices, soaking in a red sauce with halved potatoes, it was very odd. My brisket tacos were teeny tiny cubes of steak in a corn tortilla which did not taste like brisket at all. My tacos were ok so I ate them, but we both did not enjoy the fajita platter. I also ordered a free house margarita and we brought our own tequila to add to it since they do not have a liquor license, but unfortunately their margarita mix is so cloyingly sweet that we just ended up leaving the entire drink there untouched. Chips & salsa were an upcharge-bummer. I so wished it was better. Unfortunately we won't be back. read more

We ordered takeout and the food was really good but it took 40+ minutes to get 3 tacos and 1 burrito. They told us it would be 20 minutes on the phone and offered no apologies for being so late. I understand that sometimes mistakes happen, I work in the restaurant industry so I definitely get it, but I think they forgot to put our order in until we arrived. I would definitely go back to El Limon but I would personally choose a different location if possible or maybe order at a different time of day. read more

So there I was hungry for some Mexican cuisine. After being ran out of the tavern up the road. I found this lovely location, porch seating. Picture it colorful lights decorate the ceiling of this two story house of Mexican cuisine. The service was above average and quite friendly. Sadly the only reason I gave this a four instead of a five star, is because I ordered a enchilada and what did I receive. Not an enchilada but a burrito. I still ate the burrito despite my disappointment on the enchilada. Highly recommend, margs are kinda weak but very nice. read more

Will never be back! We ordered two orders of fajitas without cheese or sour cream and instead guacamole. When the waitress dropped off our orders, we reminded her of the guac that they forgot. After 10 minutes, and our food getting cold, I went to look for her and found her sitting in the back. I explained that we were still waiting for the guac that we wanted on our fajitas and the fajitas were now getting cold, and that we had another issue with an entree, and she said "ok it's coming ". Another few minutes go by, and she came back to our table with the guac. The third person in our party had ordered enchiladas, which tasted exactly like cinnamon, when we were told the red sauce was the same as that served at the table. She probably would have liked to order something else, but we'd already waited 15 minutes at this point. So the waitress just took them back and didn't remake. We got our check, and were still charged for the order of enchiladas with one bite out of it that were brought back, and for two sides of guac that took 15 minutes for us to get. I pointed out to the waitress that I am shocked we were charged for the enchiladas that were made incorrectly and not eaten, and the waitress responded "yeah it's ok" and just took my card- never removed the charge.
