Stopped by in the way home from work for takeout. That will be the last time I do that. Bland flavors and skimpy portions for the price. The lime wedge was dried out and I couldn't get one drop of juice to come out. I had to salt my tacos to make them passably palatable. Large order of pico de gallo greatly improved everything. Fish tacos: excellent Chipotle sauce on the burrito: I wanted to drink it. The rest of the grilled chicken burrito wasn't super impressive, mostly just rice, but mixing in the pico de gallo greatly improved it. November 21st, 2020. The day I found out my favorite restaurant moved into my neighborhood. My wife and I loved Daraya and were really sad to see it close, but couldn't be happier that El Limon took its place. We had about half the menu in our first two visits just to see if they're up to the El Limon standard that we've come to know and love from the Conshohocken, Ambler, Norristown, and Ardmore locations. They did not disappoint. Literally anything you get that has their amazing meats on or in it is a guaranteed success. Carnitas sopes have always been our first love and they met every expectation. The alambre is the best thing you may have never tried. I recommend carnitas and chorizo in it. Tamales are something I never liked at other Mexican restaurants, but even those are tasty when they're stuffed with El Limon's tinga or carnitas. I recommend topping with salsa verde or pico. The cubana torta is unbelievable. Every delicious thing you can hope for on one sandwich, topped with an egg. Wow. For desserts, I recommend them in this order: flan, tres leches, and churros. Flan is another item that has a bad rap for most people but what El Limon does with it seems miraculous. It's one of my favorite desserts in the world now. A must try. The churros are pretty standard, but the chocolate to dip in is a great touch. I hope this place thrives. The takeout orders are flying out the door when I've been there. My wife and I have joked that we should become franchisees to open one by us. Our dreams came true. Couldn't be happier to have them in the neighborhood. This place is so cute! Good food, no wait for seating. And free margaritas! We tried tacos, quesadillas, tamale, and chips and guac. We sat outside and it was really cute and pet friendly. The free margarita was yummy and then we tried the tre leche cake which was also really good. Our waitress was nice but the service was super slow. I think she was really busy, but we watched other tables come and go. We weren't in a rush but that's the only negative I can say about the place. Also, the prices were really reasonable. read more

I ordered here today for a birthday. Paid for supreme vegetable tacos but got regular vegetable tacos even tho I paid for the supreme. My daughter ordered a burrito and said leave off the meat. All she got was rice with a tiny bit of lettuce and two diced of tomato. She said it was so dry. I'll try this place one more time, check my order before leaving (placed order over phone and picked it up) and I hope they will deliver what I order. read more

Excitement level = 100 This Skippack location is now the fourth EL location I have dined at and all execute my favorite dish of the Al Pastor Mole Enchiladas deliciously. My pals enjoyed their tacos and enchilada. I went with my go-to and snagged a Barbados burrito with tomatillo sauce togo for the husbie. All was delicious. Dine in service was fantastic. This place is amazing. We live very close to by and have always felt disappointed with our dinning experiences in the main-street area of skippack but this is an exception! El Limon has well priced entrees, options for everyone and even offers free margaritas with dine in. The food is delicious every time. It comes out promptly and hot! They are incredibly consistent and have both indoor and outdoor seating spaces. They even have a swing for your kids to stay entertained if necessary. Lastly the staff is super accommodating and friendly. I will head back for my 4th meal here again very soon. read more

We used to be consistent customers. To be completely honest, the food is very good (that's why there's a second star). The attention to detail is extremely lacking. This is the third delivery in a row that we have had problems. None of which are due to the delivery person. Most recently, missing entree and inedible tacos. Ordered a dinner for my family at this location last evening (11/28). I usually go to the Ambler location but since Skippack is closer, I decided to give them a try. So I ordered online and when I placed my order, the app said 20-25 minutes for pick-up. When I completed my order, I received an email that said 45 minutes and a text that said my order would be ready in an hour and 20 minutes. So I called them to see when my food would be ready and was told 40-45 minutes. So I arrived 45 minute later and had to wait an hour for my order to be completed. When I let them know, all they said was Sorry. There were many other people just as unhappily waiting for their food for over an hour. Won't be going back. read more

I wanted to order local to support small businesses and this place was a mistake! First of all, their website says "free delivery", but they ended up sending me through Door Dash where I was charged about $10 for the delivery + tip. I was willing to overlook that, but when the food came, they forgot our chips and salsa/guacamole and they put sour cream, which we asked them to exclude, on 2 tacos. When I called the restaurant, they told me that they could not redeliver the correct order or refund our money- we had to call Door Dash. This was very frustrating, as their website and ordering platform doesn't mention Door Dash, so I didn't expect to have to deal with a 3rd party. To top it off, the carnitas taco and carnitas burritos were super greasy and disgusting! The rest of the order was ok, but I will not be ordering from this restaurant again. read more

I hate to write this review because El Limon's food is very tasty. But two weeks ago when we got take-out, my daughter found three hairs in her burrito that definitely did not belong to anyone in our household. Then last week when we got take-out, I added "grilled vegetables" onto my salad, and specified "no mushrooms", but the only grilled vegetables that were added were mushrooms (except for a couple carrot matchsticks). They were apologetic and remade the salad, but it meant I didn't get to eat my meal with my family, and also they did not provide any kind of compensation (e.g., free chips/guac). Other than the first time we ordered from El Limon, they've made some kind of mistake on our order every single time. So unfortunately we will not be ordering from El Limon Skippack again. read more
