Had a fantastic experience at Lobo Dorado! Our waitress, Brenda, was wonderful--super polite, professional, and had a great sense of humor that really made the meal enjoyable. The food came out hot and fresh, which is always a plus.

Stumbled into a Tiktok of this place. Great menu options. Worth the drive. Will visit again.

The decor of this place is cute with various suns and cowboy boots etc. I was sat down pretty quickly. One of the servers brought some chips and salsa that were fresh, but the chips tasted very oily and like the oil needed changed. I ordered a carnitas burrito with salsa instead of cheese sauce, and it still came out with cheese so I had to send it back. The carnitas were good, just oily. It did take quite a long time for me to get my check when I was done. This place is ok, but I'm not sure I would come back.

This is the best food I've had in West Virginia so far. I've tried all the places near me (Inwood and Martinsburg), and this absolutely takes the cake. Service was attentive and prompt. Ambiance is great. Booth walls are nice and high so very private for a dining room on the smaller side. Music isn't too loud. Honestly run-of-the-mill for a cute little Mexican place aside from the food that is absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend stopping in for a bite when you're in town.

We love the other location with the same owners, La Lobera in Inwood and were very excited to attend this new location's grand opening today on Warm Springs Avenue, which is much closer to our house. We ordered the Chipotle Burrito which was delicious, the spice level was perfect, and the chorizo and sauce created some amazing flavors. We also ordered the Lobera Special. The steak was overcooked and chewy on this. We ordered medium but it was very well done. Service had some first day hiccups but nothing major and the server was very nice. We didn't get the guacamole we ordered and had to ask to have it taken off the check at the end but this was done without trouble. It was also clear he was still learning the menu. Once again this is day 1 so that is to be expected and you could tell he cared about doing a good job. Desert was a deep fried tortilla with cheese cake on the inside served with ice cream. It was very good. We will return.

Delicious food and great service. Been there 5 times since they opened up, in a month. The chile relleno is awesome. The enchiladas are delish.. the beans have a spicy kick. Fajitas are da bomb. Our new favorite local place!

Our first time visit. From start to finish we enjoyed our experience. The server Bryan was courteous, efficient, was eager to accommodate our different requests and made some great recommendations. The owner Ray, brought out a guacamole cart to fresh make at our table and it did not disappoint! So good! We will definitely be back as we love not only good, fresh Mexican food, but also the great personalized service and warm atmosphere. Thank you for everything Wolf Pack.

Best Mexican food in town by a mile. The queso was the best I've ever had, the fajitas were next level.

She added more without us knowing till we seen it post at our bank. WE WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT! The food wasn't the greatest anyways. The prices are higher than other Mexican restaurants in the area for the same dishes. The salsa is to thin! It was like water. The flautas were floating in grease and hard. The Molcajete was supposed to have a sauce on top, instead it was dry. My husbands fajita meat was hard and overcooked. Best thing was the soda. At least that was right. We NEVER complained about the food to our server. We were nothing but nice to her. There was ABSOLUTELY NO REASON for her to manipulate our bill after we left the establishment.

Today, i have the two items of a chili relleno and a chicken enchilada. My friend ordered the pollo loco. My food came out and wasn't warm. The cheese in the relleno was not melty at all. The rellano did not have the proper coating. My friend's chicken was dry and nearly impossible to cut. Our server took nearly 15 minutes to bring out two glasses of water. I was so hungry that i ate the food rather than sending it back. (Mistake on my part). When I mentioned the problems with the food, she didn't apologize or go and get the manager. The only ray of sunshine about this meal was the chips and salsa. Although the last time we were here, the chips were stone cold. I will no longer visit this place.

Our server barely understood English, and even simple questions turned into a whole situation. I asked FOUR separate times whether the spicy salsa was free. I literally said, "If it's free, I'll take it. If not, never mind." The server kept saying yes, it was free... so we ate it. Then the check comes out with a $3.99 charge for the salsa When I asked why it was charged after being told multiple times it was free, the server still kept saying "free" while staring at the receipt. At that point I had to ask for the manager because we were clearly not communicating. The manager said there was a "language barrier issue," BUT because we already ate it, we still had to pay for it. That part honestly blew my mind. If I asked about the price four times before ordering, clearly the whole point was that I didn't want it if it cost extra What made it worse was the attitude. The server never apologized once and the manager acted super confident like this was somehow normal. And honestly... the food wasn't even worth the drama. Everything was ridiculously salty, and the salsa tasted like someone mixed it with water. Cool interior. Terrible experience. Definitely not coming back.

There were only two tables available that we could put together to accommodate our group but they wouldn't let us do that until everyone arrived. We were slightly frustrated because if they gave the second table to someone else we never would have accommodated our group. Luckily the rest of the group arrived shortly after we did so we were able to sit together. I'm a bit of a Mexican food snob and I thought the food was mediocre. The salsa was pretty runny and the queso was melted cheese with NO seasoning/flavor to it. I ended up adding hot sauce to both just to flavor them. I ordered the ceviche - one of my favorites. I was really disappointed with that. The shrimp was overcooked so my guess is that they added cooked shrimp into the mix rather than making it the traditional way. Bottom line - the margaritas was good but I walked out hungry with a box of leftovers that I ended up throwing away. I would give it a try again when we're not with a large group, but I certainly won't be rushing back there anytime soon. Overall, 2.5/3 star experience.

A year or so later, I took a group of people from a historical society, & they all loved it! I'd recommend chicken tacos, the sweet-tea, and the chips'n'salsa. My best friend gets the chicken taco salad, or the Shrimp, and she loves it. Claims their guacamole is out of this world (I don't like guac, so I take her word for it), I love their salsa- I COULD DRINK IT, and their meat is always tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked. The staff are incredibly friendly, especially the older gentleman who does cooking/register and is usually in a bandanna. You are greeted upon entering, service is offered with a smile, the food is done to-order (think Subway), and they have a rewards/loyalty program of some sort where you get money off every so many trips (my aunt, the local, has a card). Then, when you're done, someone from the staff often calls out for you to have a good afternoon/night. Trust me. Go to Habanero Mexican Grill. Try it. You'll love it.

Im PAYING for the SERVICE and FOOD. Next interaction was when i had went and the bowl looked okay but i took a couple bites and noticed a lot of undercooked rice and it was awful. It was hard and got stuck in my teeth and my chicken also hard chunks in it which was genuinely disgusting. Idk if it was fat or maybe even bone who knows but it was awful. I was going to say something but i was like maybe their having an off day as i do work retail so understand but it did make me not want to go back for a while. And lastly to really make me never want to go back, my girlfriend and i had just gotten off work as we work nearby and it was i think 10:20ish and i know chipotle closes at 11:00 so mind you 40 MINUTES till they close. We walk in and the women who was standing at the counter about to fill our bowls was giving us the most nastiest disgusting look the entire time we are walking in. She had an attitude the entire time and since she was literally mumbling when asking me if i wanted a bowl or burrito i asked her what she said and she repeated it in a nasty tone. She continued to have an attitude the entire time until we walked out. Girl you get paid minimum wage and you dont close for another 40 minutes. Id understand if she was making us a full meal but your literally scooping food into a fucking bowl youll be okay. I understand people coming in right at close, where i work we have that often, but girl you had another 40 minutes till your shift and we didnt come in loud and obnoxious so calm down youll be alright. Anyways i will not be visiting this location again, their workers are extremely rude, unprofessional, and the food is undercooked. I would much rather go to Spring Mills new location which is SO incredibly nice and way bigger, the people there are so kind and helpful too.
