El Manna is by far my favorite Mexican food place, well actually my favorite restaurant. My family has been going to El Manna constantly for the last 3 years. It doesn't matter what you get you will get high quality food. The servers always have a smile on their face, make sure your cup stays full, and seem to actually enjoy their job. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for great food. Also the food also comes out so fast you hardly have time to eat enough chips and salsa. (Which is a great thing, BTW) read more

I have never been more impressed. I told them a week in advance that a group of about 45 of us would show. Our group ordered all sorts of things from the menu, yet dishes just flew out of the kitchen! The wait staff was very nice, hard-working, and prompt. It was amazing!!! Visiting my parents at their lakehouse on Lake Fork, sometimes decent restaurants are few & far between in small towns in Texas. I'm native Texan, so I can say that. This gem was a delightful exception to that rule. Had a combo plate with a sour cream chicken enchilada with a chicken flauta the last time I was here. Ok, not exceptional, but good. Nice balance on the sauce, generous amount of shredded chicken. Had the beef fajita nachos today & wow, really good. Flavorful grilled beef, generous amount of cheese. Really good! Finished it off with the homemade flan & wow, the flan was PERFECT!! The texture was superb, the flavor delicate, a generous amount of caramel sauce. It just knocked my socks off! Queso? Good. Fajitas? Good. Everything else? Gooood! While visiting from out of town, we came on a Sunday evening. There are limited options (most restaurants are closed on Sundays out here), so El Manna was chosen by default. It's not very fancy, but what they lack in decor they make up for in everything else. The service was friendly, the food delivered promptly, and the quality was delicious! To top it off, the prices are incredibly reasonable. We started with the bowl of queso, which came with a warm basket of chips. Our entrees consisted of the Laredo (two enchiladas and one crispy taco) and Supreme Fajitas (beef, chicken, shrimp, and sausage). We followed up with a sopapilla. If we return to the area, we will definitely be stopping in for an El Manna meal! read more

A local favorite. My family and I, recently moved from Rowlett to Emory, El Manna is hands down our favorite restaurant in town. We eat here at least once a week. The service is always fast and friendly, and they serve the best Tex-Mex food. The avocado enchiladas are my favorite, they are served with a delicious, red sauce. Best place in this area for Mexican food. Had the special, pork carnitas tacos with Monterrey Jack cheese. Really good! Husband got three different enchiladas. Love their chips and hot sauce and it's always brought immediately to the table. Great service! No alcohol served but I believe you can bring your own. El Manna is from the Bible. Was in Emory and ate there last night. The cheese nacho's were the best I've ever had, totally loved those. The chips and dip were good also and I had the Burrito Grande, no complaints. Left totally stuffed with a to go box because I couldn't finish it all. The prices are reasonable especially for how much food you get. My waitress (wish I had gotten her name) was very friendly and did a great job. When passing through I will for sure eat here again. read more

This is very good Mexican cuisine. Yes, the expected Tex-Mex is offered but some other exceptional choices too. The chips and salsa are very good as well. No liquor license but you can BYOB. Terrible! Worst food I have had in a Mexican restaurant. Ordered the tacos of the house. One of each, chicken, pork and beef. The pork tasted rancid. The beef and chicken were diced and cooked crispy with no seasoning. Each taco topped with a slice of hard avocado. We asked for lettuce and sour cream and we're charged 2.25 for a tablespoon of sour cream and handful of iceberg lettuce. Pico consisted of diced onions and cilantro..no tomatoes. I will usually give a place a second chance... not this place. It was bad! read more

Stayed in Emory last month for the First Trade Days over at Canton. While in Emory for three days we tried three different restaurants each night. This was the last one we tried and we tried it because every night when we passed by going somewhere else it was a full parking lot. I'm glad we waited until the last night to try it for if we had tried it on the first night we wouldn't have gone anywhere else. But that would have been a good thing too for it is beyond a doubt the best of the three places we tried by a long shot. Looks to be a relatively new place and is fresh and clean. The service was excellent 5 stars. Chips and salsa as soon as you sit down and seconds later drink order placed. The chips and salsa were very good as was the sweet tea. We ordered the Fajitas and they came out quick on sizzling platters. I highly recommend them. Angela was our waitress and well worth asking for her for she was great. If you are in Emory and enjoy good Tex-Mex food, give it a try. You won't be sorry. read more
