Came again a few weeks ago, so need to give them the props they deserve. No doubt I come here for their tacos more than anything else. My favorites include the Lengua (beef tongue), Oreja (pig ear), and Camaron (shrimp). The Al Pastor and Carnitas are great too. All their tacos are always filled to the brim, which is appreciated. I do like their freshly made Guacamole and the Seafood Soup too. However, not a big fan of their cemitas or fluetas. Regardless, most of the food is quite excellent. Open early and close late, this has been a staple in my Mexican diet over the years in the Jackson Heights area. The decor is festive and the service is always friendly. I will continue to visit this Mexican restaurants for my taco fix.

Your eyes do have to be alert because the place doesn't exactly stand out and it looks narrow on the outside so if you're not actively looking for it, you will easily bypass it. Despite it's outside look, the place has a lot of length and solid enough seating space for 30 people tops. The service was fairly decent, not exceedingly outstanding but not bare minimum either. I'd say it's fairly decent. What I got for lunch was a chicken slice w/ white sauce and a chicken wrap which took it's sweet time finding itself on my table though when I got the wrap, it was worth the wait, it was pretty good. Kinda wish they didn't serve my slice early for it was a bit on the lukewarm side when the wrap came. All in all, while my experience was not perfect, it was decent so I'd give it a recommendation. Some things take more time to prepare than others.

We also ordered a lengua and adobada taco to sample as well as a horchata. There was plenty of seating in the outdoor/ indoor area in the back of the restaurant. Everything came out quickly and was super fresh. We loved that there was a toppings bar for sauces, onions, pico de gallo, and radish. My favorite was the Birria mulita, which was super crispy and flavorful. It was of course the messiest to eat but it was worth it. The Birria empanada was super unique and crunchy. I enjoyed dipping this into the consume a lot. The tacos were also quite good as we loaded them up with sauces. Lastly the horchata was creamy, refreshing, and delicious. I had an amazing meal at Nenes Taqueria and would love to come back if I'm in the area.

Taco is pretty good, a generous amount of beef and some onions/cilantro on a flour tortilla. A little on the dry end, but helped it with some hot sauce. Torta suffered from stale bread, but the actual meat/cheese/sauce was solid. Nothing exceptional here, but there is usually no line and they open late. Good spot for a quick fix on the block.

Literally parked in front of the Chase Bank just off steps away from Little India, the smell of fresh cooked meats form a small aroma cloud of steam for passerbys and onlookers just looking to get a piece of the taco action. To claim a corner in front of a bank means there are few excuses for people not to have access to some dollar bills. That alone is pure genius on this cart's part. Speaking of prices, each taco here is the standard Roosevelt / Elmhurst / Corona market price of $2.00. There is something about the way they make their carnitas and al pastor meats that make me slobber in anticipation each time. With the sprinkle of some lime, some bits of salsa thrown in the mix, it's practically the perfect taco. The nice lady who I often see manning the cart has a habit of stuffing the taco to the point where cilantro, onions, and meat take up most of the space on the tortilla. In order for me to be able to hold the taco up, I always have to ask for them to go easy on the cilantro and onions. They have a condiment station with all of the radishes, various salsas, limes, and gaucamole for the ultimate DIY taco customization. While I think their tacos are excellent, some have contended their quesadillas are what they do best here (the name is no coincidence right?). It's hardly the quesadillas of the chain restaurant or bar food variety, but more like a giant folded over flour tortilla that would otherwise look like an oversized taco with bits of cotija cheese, lechuga, cilantro, lime, and plenty of filling. My favorite is the more expensive option in the huitlacoche (corn smut) at $3.50 and the ever simple quesadilla de papas (potatoes). On a whole they're all quite good, but for some reason the tacos take the cake for me. Then there is the rest of the food. La Quesadilla Sabrosa offers an array of other antojitos from huaraches to tostadas to picaditos. All that I've sampled were decent to stellar, though they take considerably longer to prepare. When realizing our harsh winter weather as of late, this is never fun. I guess I just like it cheap and dirty (#1). Their tortas, while fresh and filling, are still a notch below El Gallo Giro (http://www.yelp.com/biz/el-gallo-giro-jackson-heights) and more expensive than Tacos Guicho (http://www.yelp.com/biz/tacos-guicho-jackson-heights) at $5.00 each across the board. Recommended meat fillings would be carnitas and chorizo, which usually tend to go quickest. On a whole, the food is delicious and reasonably priced.
