Mixed enchilada plate with rice, beans, and a small salad.

After visiting a couple of wineries out on 290, we ventured back to town to grab a bite to eat. We had eaten at this restaurant before and decided to make a return. The main draw of this place seems to be the patio. They had a band playing at the time of our visit. However, we decided to sit inside. Our waitress came for drink orders right and was very welcoming and friendly. I settled on their mixed enchiladas plate, which featured a chicken, a beef, and a cheese enchilada. Rice, beans, and a small salad were also served with it. The enchiladas were alright. They seemed to be rolled kind of tight with not much filling on the insides. The rice and beans weren't anything special. The rice was rather bland. At $15, I would have expected better, and it wasn't on par with what I could get in SA. I will probably visit again but steer clear of their Mexican offerings.

We had just ran away from a new bar a few hundred yards down. Knew about this place for some time but when it comes to Tex-Mex in Fredericksburg we've been a fan of another restaurant. So, first try here. Band playing but managed to grab a table. Appreciated the patio heaters on a cool night. The inside of the restaurant isn't exactly set up for diners; especially the upstairs. Bathroom...hope you got a good bladder! They should have taken reservations and handed out those trendy beepers. Buzzzzz, you're throne is ready. Drinks based review truthfully; eager staff rushed to the table for our order. Margarita for me and vodka cranberry for the lady. After a few margs I switched to a Crown and Coke. Yeah, think half empty three liter soda that sat on the shelf a week. It drank very old on the soda part. So much in fact that I even called BS because of the flavor thinking I got Grand Pappy's Ol' Number 69 "Whizkee" instead. Possibly proved wrong because I saw a Crown bottle waiting for the bathroom? Hard water Fredericksburg? More theories than the X-Files! Now there's Guacamole on the table to absorb the drinks for the GF. I order more beer! Overall the price was OK minus the questionable Murica drank. GF petted a Australian Shephard puppy from the next table. Overall, friendly folks and better value than 78624 the bar.

I went here for a business lunch. We had such a great time talking I forgot to take more pictures. Our server Heidi was awesome! She was on top of it. I don't think my drink was ever empty. The chips, queso and salsa were delicious. This place has a very nice ambiance. The only thing I didn't like is there were a few pesky flies coming in. I was there on a Friday afternoon and they had a live band. It was a whole vibe and this is now my favorite restaurant in Fredericksburg. The tacos and rice were absolutely delicious. I'll definitely be back to try more items on the menu.

We were seated quickly and weather was nice so we sat outside! There was a live band and as for parking, it is down Main Street so best to park in public parking. We ordered the nachos and an enchilada plate! The enchiladas tasted really good and authentic. Nachos were delicious especially because we just wanted something to share. They are a pretty good size for two people! Definitely recommend for a good place to take break from all the walking!

Oh my goodness. I had the best timed 2 days in a row. The chips and cueso was the best. The music and the staff was amazing! Can't wait to go back.

Came in for breakfast. We ordered huevos rancheros and chilaquiles. Small, cozy spot. Food was great.

Chic drummers are cool as heck!

We had beef street tacos , chicken street tacos and an order of the Tostitos Machete. Everything tasted great but the selection of salsas takes it to the next level. However, they will charge you for a cup of water and there is a $.40 service fee which I cannot explain. At least there was no credit card fee, but the tip screen was waiting. To be honest, their bacon and egg basic taco is pretty average, nothing special, but their red spicy sauce definitely took it up a notch. Their potato sausage and egg taco barely had any discernible sausage to it. It's the communal salsa bar that really makes the tacos extra special. They do have a fountain drink station, bottled soda on ice and a pot of coffee by the order window. You can get quite a variety of mixed drinks like margaritas along with numerous beer choices, although no local beers. Because of the value and sauces, I would definitely come back to this spot again. And just so you know, they do not have a public bathroom here and they are closed Monday. Ten informative photos to fill in what words miss.

Unfortunately, this experience felt less like a restaurant opening and more like a dress rehearsal no one stopped. First problem: location confusion. We went to what turned out to be their second spot--which, crucially, was not called Nurys on the sign. Same ownership, new space, old identity crisis. Walking in felt like entering a building that hadn't yet decided what it wanted to be when it grew up. The lingering aroma? A strange duet of fish, antiseptic, and industrial cleaning agents. Not hunger-inducing. More "urgent care with a fryer." There was no one there, which made sense--it was between brunch and lunch--but somehow the wait for food felt disproportionately long for what arrived. What arrived, sadly, was mediocrity wearing a Tex-Mex costume. They seemed to be aiming for Tex-Mex but landed somewhere closer to Tex-Flex--stretching flavors thin until they snapped. The barbacoa was fatty in a way that suggested less "slow-cooked tradition" and more "glistening regret." It didn't taste authentic, or even especially intentional. Just heavy. The guacamole--perhaps the most unforgivable offense--was bad. Guacamole is avocados, salt, lime, and love. That's it. This had none of the above. The waitstaff wasn't rude, exactly--just possessed by the clear energy of people who would prefer you to finish quickly so they could resume their real lives. Hospitality should feel like an invitation, not a countdown. Now, maybe the original Nurys is wonderful. I hope it is. But if that's the case, why open a second location only to phone it in? Expansion should mean excellence multiplied, not care divided. There are too many good places in Fredericksburg doing things right to settle for something half-hearted. This one wasn't terrible--it was worse. It was forgettable. And that's the real disappointment.

Right away, the service felt off. Our waitress didn't even ask if we wanted drinks before jumping straight to, "Are you ready to order food?" Then she disappeared for long periods, even though we were basically her only table besides one other couple. The food was extremely underwhelming -- basic, barely warm, and nothing memorable. On top of that, there were so many flies inside that we were nonstop swatting them away. And to make matters worse, there was a bug in my drink when it was served to me. That was pretty much the final straw. Overall, a very forgettable and disappointing experience. We probably won't come again, and I would not recommend it.

I ordered the Eggs Benedict, substituting bacon for ham, with a biscuit and gravy on the side. The Eggs Benedict was good. I loved the unexpected touch of Swiss cheese, which added a nice twist to a classic dish. The hollandaise was a little on the sour side, but the bacon was cooked perfectly. The biscuit and gravy was the real star of my meal, so good that I almost wish I had ordered it as my main! Definitely getting that next time. My husband went for The Big Ass Sandwich and loved it.
