Came here on a Saturday afternoon and the vibes were 10/10. It was pretty busy, but we managed to snag a large table for our group without a problem. They had live music playing from a traveling guy out of Vegas (can't remember his name, but it was two guys' first names)--it was such a nice touch for a weekend lunch. I'm extremely picky, but the fajita steak quesadilla was soooooo good. I paired it with the fries, and they were "the good kind"--perfectly crisp and super tasty, hot and fresh. I also really appreciated that they served my Coke in a can with a separate glass of ice and a straw. It's a small detail, but I love being able to drink a cold can with a straw. The rest of the group seemed to love their food too. My fiancé got the fish tacos and they looked great, as did the Reuben sandwich my MIL got. Highlights: The Service: Our server was a rockstar. Even though the place was slammed, she were super fast and every single order was 100% accurate. The Fries: Seriously, don't skip them. The only real lowlight: There is only one bathroom, so the line can get lonnnnnnng. Definitely don't wait until it's an emergency to head that way. After visiting a couple of wineries out on 290, we ventured back to town to grab a bite to eat. We had eaten at this restaurant before and decided to make a return. The main draw of this place seems to be the patio. They had a band playing at the time of our visit. However, we decided to sit inside. Our waitress came for drink orders right and was very welcoming and friendly. I settled on their mixed enchiladas plate, which featured a chicken, a beef, and a cheese enchilada. Rice, beans, and a small salad were also served with it. The enchiladas were alright. They seemed to be rolled kind of tight with not much filling on the insides. The rice and beans weren't anything special. The rice was rather bland. At $15, I would have expected better, and it wasn't on par with what I could get in SA. I was really disappointed coming here... Ive been wanting to visit for several months. First we sat outside- the weather was nice and someone was setting up to play music. He was so loud we couldn't even talk to each other. It was like being at a bad 80's concert and it was his afternoon rock show (and I like rock music)...so we moved inside Food was meh. We had just ran away from a new bar a few hundred yards down. Knew about this place for some time but when it comes to Tex-Mex in Fredericksburg we've been a fan of another restaurant. Yeah, think half empty three liter soda that sat on the shelf a week. It drank very old on the soda part. So much in fact that I even called BS because of the flavor thinking I got Grand Pappy's Ol' Number 69 "Whizkee" instead. Possibly proved wrong because I saw a Crown bottle waiting for the bathroom? Hard water Fredericksburg? More theories than the X-Files! Now there's Guacamole on the table to absorb the drinks for the GF. I order more beer! I went here for a business lunch. We had such a great time talking I forgot to take more pictures. Our server Heidi was awesome! She was on top of it. I don't think my drink was ever empty. The chips, queso and salsa were delicious. This place has a very nice ambiance. The only thing I didn't like is there were a few pesky flies coming in. I was there on a Friday afternoon and they had a live band. It was a whole vibe and this is now my favorite restaurant in Fredericksburg. The tacos and rice were absolutely delicious. What a perfect afternoon in downtown Fredericksburg- hanging outside in the shade at El Milagros 2020 while The Night Owls jam out to songs from the 70s. Fried pickles were great- actually a bit spicy. Grateful for cold brews to wash them down! Splitting a chicken ceasar, hubs is having the German plate (saw that coming a mile away!) and I'm going for the supreme nachos, kinda deconstructed (I like my chips crisp, so all the toppings are on the side. I know, I'm weird, Yelpers, but y'all should know that by now!) We could hang out here all day just enjoying the band and brews. Such a great atmosphere here tucked back off the main drag. Stopped in for drinks and the live music. The night we stopped by there were two gentlemen playing guitar and singing some songs with harmonicas too. Fiun place! It's sort of hidden down between two buildings but a great evening hang out downtown! The band was awesome! The food was good and the drinks are great! Staff was friendly and attentive. On a cold night they have a fire pit going and several heaters going in case the dancing and booze doesn't keep you warm! Definitely would go back! read more

This 5 star review goes directly to 2 things - atmosphere & our waiter David. The live music at night drew us in through a dimly lit corridor which opens up to a nice open patio. We were immediately greeted by the waiter. Very nice & timely with service. I especially loved how he checked up on our table multiple times throughout our time there. 5 stars for David! The music really made the night an enjoyable experience. Southern rock & nachos... what could go wrong? The food was good, but nothing special. My party ordered the steak nachos, enchilada plate & quesadillas. Not bad, felt like portions could be a little larger. Presentation is lacking. Quesadilla was on point & with the ideal slight crisp. This restaurant definitely is more geared towards a place to grab a beer, relax & hang out. Ending note: If this restaurant focuses a little more on food & presentation, I think it would easily be a must go destination in Fredericksburg. Walked by one night on a ghost tour and heard music that sounded good. Came back the next night. Not great. Pricey, which I expect on Main Street of a tourist town, but still, pricey for what you get. Waited a long time before anyone noticed us, waiting on people all around us, but I'm patient. Others may have picked up and left. $7.99 for chips and two bites of guacamole, $4.99 for a few chips and an individual-sized bowl of salsa. Didn't have fajitas, so got fajita nachos. Mediocre. Nothing was special. We are huge tippers (one daughter worked her way through college in the service industry, another is a manager in the service industry). Once they noticed us, service was okay. Irritated they added gratuity to our party of 5 without telling us. Our bar bill was $120 for 2 rounds of margaritas, and a couple of extra shots. Plus food bill, so total was substantial for what we got, plus gratuity. Will not be back. Being honest so others can decide for themselves whether to give it a try or not. read more

Ate here Wednesday, 9:30 am, Dec 28th, 2022 and the place was empty. We'd already tried Nury's (20 minute wait) and Rathskeller (packed and someone said they had no water to wash dishes ). The small breakfast menu was mostly Mexican dishes, but American feel-good stuff too. We ordered quickly. Coffee is decent. By 10:45 I had my biscuits and gravy with 2 strips of bacon. Gravy is homemade! Very good. Wife had an omelet loaded with bacon and onion - super good. Place is still empty. The interior of this place is small but quaint with stone walls and wood beams in the ceiling. Seats and tables are well taken care of. As others have said they have a huge courtyard but not this morning it's a wee-bit chilly. Bill for two plates, two coffees, tip, and an almond cookie to go came to $37. read more

WARNING 25% gratuity added to ticket. It's not on the menus and there isn't a sign. Waitress said, "It's the law to add the 25% gratuity." I uploaded pic of the receipt. Why is there a tip guide if you automatically add the tip? The food was good. Service was horrible. Gratuity added even if you refill all the beverages yourself. Not one time did she refill any drink at our table. My husband got the exact thing he told the waitress he didn't want. Had the service been great we would gladly pay the tip. But why be a good waitress when you get the money anyway! Think twice before eating here. My husband is a huge tipper. Even when we spend $20 on dinner he leaves a $10 tip!!! Young staff of females were very kind and seemed happy to be there. I wanted to keep a buzz and my wife wanted coffee. Guess what, no coffee. Girl working the register offered to brew some; 7-mins later we had a fresh pot or aromatic coffee and a Jack/diet delivered to the table. Band was very personable and took time to know the audience.
