We really enjoyed the outdoor atmosphere at Howdy's in Ingram. Great place to eat and enjoy the live music. We did not try the inside bar, but the restaurant / bar was busy on a Saturday night. The Howdy's Smash Burger with bacon and jalapenos was awesome. The service was excellent.

Criders rodeo got canceled, and we found this place! Great appetizers, pork belly was great, onion rings were at the top of their game, good nachos (could be more organized on the nacho stacking game), good chicken fried steak, good mashed potatoes, solid hamburger. Great band too! Awesome service!

Howdy's is one of my favorite places ever. My family and I try to go almost every Wednesday for karaoke. The dj is awesome, staff is great, and the food is always good and beer is always cold! After all the flooding they still celebrated the community and allowed people to have fun after all the devastation. Love this place

What a fantastic bar and restaurant! Very eclectic mix of a place. Off the beaten path it's got a roadhouse honkytonk feel. Creative bar stools, long solid bar. Massive patio. Live music Fri, Sat, and Sun. Can tell a lotta work put into it being a place to chill as the name says. Bathrooms were clean. Amstel on tap. LoneStar light bottle for me. Wife had a Bloody Mary. Ordered Brisket Bites which is a country fried brisket mix. Very good appetizer. Had Country Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes and beans. Very tasty, hit the spot. Wife ordered Howdy Carnitas Tacos. She said they were very good. Talked to manager or owner, mentioned immediate family was military. So Will definitely be coming back! Love it!

Second time here and hubby got SAME dinner, a year later! Smoke pork chops are amazing! Green beans and bacon could be a meal in themselves, and the mashed potatoes were great too. The meatloaf was the best ever!!! And the Pecan Flan?????? To die for!!!! All homemade and from scratch. We will be back! Great ride destination on motorcycles.

    Steak trooper nachos pretty good.

Great location, very welcoming. Food is a hit or miss. Chicken fried steak was not tasty at all. Mash way to much salt. Beans were delicious. Pork belly bits 11 bucks for this small plate of meat not smoked it was just mediocre. Will return for music drinks and great service.

Nice bar/grill. Somewhat hidden but not difficult to find. Went in on karaoke night...was pretty cool. Bartender was friendly and attentive. Tried the Altstadt beer (local brew )...good taste. Went w the appetizers since we arrived somewhat late...hit the spot. Highly recommend...everyone is pretty friendly

Kitchen was closed when we arrived at 8:42 pm. Yelp said open until midnight. We drove 8 miles to get there and couldn't have dinner.

I arrived and entered through the doorway indicated you should enter if you have a pet. As this was my first visit, I really appreciated that this was clearly labeled. After walking through the door, I found I was standing in a large yard, with lots of shade, tennis balls, and water bowls. It was clearly a space for dogs. Signs all over the back indicate that it's an off-leash area. So I let my lab off her leash, found a tennis ball and spent a few minutes letter her run. After, I entered through the back and made my way to the bar. The inside was clean and cool, with lots of seating. I made my way to the bar, ordered a beer and some chips and queso. They had a variety of beers available but really just Altstadt products on tap. There were cocktails and mocktails available too. The staff were super friendly and fast with getting my drink and food. As it was slow, the bartender came out back to meet my lab and talk. I really appreciated that they asked for her name. On the food front. I just tried the chips and queso blanco, and paid the extra two dollars for added chorizo. It was great, creamy cheese sauce, smoky, crisp chorizo lardons, and a lot of well salted chips. A great shareable appetizer at 9 bucks that won't break the bank. I ordered a second draft beer and left a tip all under 30 bucks. I will be back to explore this menu further, but really enjoyed the place's ambiance, how friendly the staff was, and the attention that went into making it a fun space for my dog as much as an enjoyable experience for myself. All in all, well done:

We were attended to promptly and after reviewing the menu we placed our order. I ordered the Caesar salad with chicken and son ordered a ham and cheese sandwich. We watched some regulars come in and hug their favorite wait staffers (which seemed to be everyone on duty!) and check on other patrons to say hi before settling back at their table. The vibe was people on business lunches, retirees meeting up with friends, and a few tourists. I really loved the "homeyness" of watching everyone being familiar with the patrons and the overall friendly vibe. Our order arrived and I loved that the lettuce was cut into small bite size pieces rather than larger leaves which always look like someone grazing when eating off the fork. The bite size pieces were a nice surprise and also loved the grapefruit slice! I love grapefruit so this was so nice to see!! First bite was great! I tasted a hint of mustard in the dressing - not for sure if there was but it was a tangy change of the usual Caesar dressing. I liked it! I had as much as I could and my growing son finished it off for me after he finished his sandwich. I asked him about his sandwich and he said it was the best ham and cheese he's ever had! Hey...I said...what about mine!!?? Oh well. He loved the bread and the Swiss cheese. Different flavors for him and he approved. We didn't do dessert since we had shopping to do. We paid the bill and readied to leave. I noted to the lady group sitting next to us about one of the ladies purse. It was super cute and not the standard luxury fare. They were so friendly to my remark I swore if I commented more they would have told me to join them! Super friendly people, restaurant, and great food!! We'll have to try it again sometime after we try all the other restaurants in town!! You won't be disappointed if you try this place!!

The building itself was built in 1890 initially as a mercantile store, then cycled through a number of other businesses over the years until settling on Francisco's. Besides indoor tables, they also have a number of seating options outside on the sidewalk if the weather is agreeable. There isn't a river view, but it could be good people watching on a busy tourist day. The interior is a single space with high ceilings and tons of art on the walls. It's small but feels intimate not tight. I wouldn't call the place fine dining or upscale, but it's a step above casual. We were there for lunch and I felt fine in shorts and flip flops, but wonder if dinner is a different story. The lunch menu was mostly simple cafe sandwiches, salads, soups, and a couple different nachos/chips and salsa/chips and queso appetizer options. The Mexican food were primarily the daily specials the waitress rattled off for us. Speaking of, service was very friendly prompt, and helpful. Our waitress did a great job helping us figure out what we were in the mood for, offered substitutions and chatted us up on where we were from and what we were doing around town. Great staff. Overall if you're in town and looking for a sit down meal keep Francisco's on your list of options.
