This is overall a pretty average type spot. I like the ability to play music from your seat and the proud to be American style decor going on with a simple wooded bar. It's not very big and the people weren't super welcoming at first. Drinks were pricey even for basic ones (which is to be expected off of Main area). After some time the bartenders became more friendly and gave some great recommendations. It wasn't too busy as it was a random weekday. So not sure how the vibe is on the weekend. A friend and I were visiting Fredericksburg, she from Fort Worth and I from Arizona. We passed this establishment and decided to stop in for a drink. It looked like it was a nice place. Literally sat there 15 minutes with staff walking right past us with no acknowledgment. The place only had 8 people sitting in it, so they weren't busy. Next thing we knew, a sign was put up on the bar saying to place your order at the bar which is something they could have shared when they walked past us numerous times. RUDE!! I went and placed my order, got our drinks and sat down and to my surprise one of my best friends overhears the staff behind the bar (2 boys) talking and wondering if we're lesbians. Seriously? I'm sure lots of women and their friends shop and hang out all the time. I'm married to a man and so is she!! Steer clear of this place and have a drink elsewhere! read more

Visiting this location twice in the same day: 1st time was around 2-4 PM and the location was busy. I found a spot to sit just by accident. There were only two people working behind the bar so it took them awhile to take our orders. We had the Lavender Lemonade Vodka which was pretty good. The over all feeling of the bar was calm, quiet, casual. 2nd time was around midnight and the location wasn't nearly as busy. Loved the bartenders during the night shift. High energy and attentive. Orders were taking and made quickly. Lots of laughing and good times. Would definitely recommend coming in the evening for a fun wrap up of the night life. read more

WARNING WARNING ... DO NOT GO TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT. I ended up having a run in with the bartender. He was rudely talking to a couple at another table but he'd started making 3 drinks before he went over to that table. I politely said, "Excuse me sir you have drinks you need to finish and a few people waiting". He literally started 3 drinks and walked away. I have it on video. This man said "you 2 can get the fuck out, yup, get out." I was there with a friend. I said "we were going to do that anyway just like the rest of your customers." At this point 2 customer had already left the bar. After I said that, the couple he was talking to left the bar, a couple sitting at the bar to the right of us, left, and we left as well. As the couple was leaving the man said to the bartender, "you're a ignorant f*ckin douche with your silly a$$ hat." So, as me and my partner were walking out the door, the bartender had the nerve to say "byeeee have a nice Saturday." He said it all sassy with an attitude like he was glad we were leaving.. So I poked my head back in the door and said " you too b!tchhh" with a snap and wave....He definitely took me out of character, he needs to be fired based on other reviews and I will not be returning ever. There on 12/10/22 - Pretty good little spot with the exception of the most rude bartender I've ever come across. Wish I had gotten her name but she's the one that need lots of dental work (hard to miss). She was rude, and wanted to make sure I knew she had been a bartender for 30yrs when I made a comment about how she was making a black & tan. "I know what I'm doing, been doing it 30yrs". Well it was wrong (I bartended as well) but aside from that yelled at someone who reached for their drink, screaming about the bars liability if you cross this line. We left, won't return. And took 6 other guest we just met with us. Might want to handle that! Too bad because the Australian bartender was awesome but got off right after he got us one drink. read more

Telling me I needed to show the waitress my ID if I wanted to take any form of photo. He continued to ask why I wanted to take photos of myself at this bar. I ordered a Tito's dirty martini and it was sweet. I took two sips and left. My husband ordered a margarita which tasted like lighter fluid. Went to this bar last night. We sat up at the bar and we were not greeted by the staff member that was right in front of us. After waiting 10 minutes the bartender greeted us with "We're closing in 20 minutes, last call at 9:00". HORRIBLE! We came in 10/5 around 7:30. We were COMPLETELY ignored by not only the barback who didn't even say hello, but by the bartender with glasses. The bartender with the longer hair was working the bar, what seemed like alone. Never once did the barback tell the bartenders we were patiently waiting. The bartender with the glasses was too busy talking to a female and it wasn't until he saw a familiar face that he walked across the bar to shake his hand and picked up the two empty glasses right next to us from the couple who had just left. He immediately went right back to where he was originally and back to the conversation. When another bartender came out he made direct eye contact with us and still did not approach. The bartender with the longer hair and hat on Went ahead and took care of a group of guys And a couple that hadn't even been 10 seconds. Needless to say, after 20 minutes of that, we left. I recommend the Saloon bar that's part of the Albert over this place. Sad that what looked like 3 bartenders and a barback, all male, couldn't handle Oktoberfest. Do better guys! ​ read more
