It was a nice breezy day in Geneva & we were out walking & suddenly craved tacos! This place is above a dessert shop & kind of confusing to locate, but enough signs to figure it out. Rooftop dining is pleasant esp on a day like this. Service is friendly & fast! Steak tacos perfectly seasoned & tender. Can't wait to try other offerings from their menu!

Don't miss this Mexican restaurant on the top floor of the Berry House. Friendly service and delicious food! I had al pastor tacos and a side of esquites (street corn), both of which were flavorful and fresh. It was quiet on a weekend lunch hour but picked up throughout my meal. Would certainly return.

The best Mexican food in Geneva area. Not to mention the best view and ambiance! Great outside seating. Nicest staff that are very welcoming. The food is fantastic and very fairly priced. Drinks are cheap. It's a great date night and family dinner spot !!

This place instantly became one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. Server/ hostess/ and staff were all very kind and all in a good mood. Second, their cocktails are absolutely amazing. The jalapeño margarita was so delicious, I had two. I also had the guava margarita which also good. For dinner I had the taco sampler. Every single one of those tacos was made to perfection. I can't wait to come back and try other menu items. Balcony/patio area was nice. Only complaints are food did take a bit long to come out and usually you get chips and salsa at Mexican restaurants which this place didn't offer.

That was on me, but still, the drink itself was solid. For my meal, I got the spicy shrimp appetizer, and we also shared guacamole and chips--probably the best guac I've had yet! The chips were light and airy, which I really appreciated. Our friends got the fish tacos with a side of rice and beans--also very fresh and flavorful. The tuna tacos were great too. Our waiter was really nice and had no issue splitting the checks for us. The inside is nicely decorated, and the wall of tequila adds a fun touch. The outdoor seating felt a bit cramped though--where we sat, it seemed like we were super close to other tables, and it was a little tight for the waitstaff to move around. Overall, a really good experience! They weren't kidding when they said spicy shrimp--it was definitely spicy, but in the best way. The breading and flavor were on point.

I ordered the nachos with chicken and they were so filling and delicious that I didn't order an entree for dinner. My brother had the fajitas and he can be picky! He said they were delicious. We will definitely be back, especially with the location being conveniently located in downtown St. Charles!

My boyfriend had a variety of tacos (fish, shrimp, and ribeye steak) but the fish taco was his favorite. There were only 2-3 young men working the front of the house and they were hustling. They spoke very loud and clear (a good thing!) and stayed busy taking orders, cleaning tables, and checking on guests. Job well done to those hard workers. Inside is a bit tight. When we visited, a part of the restaurant was closed off for a party so seating was limited to the few tables up front. However, there are some tables outside and you're super close to St Mary's Park so you could always get your order to-go and picnic at the park.

We usually go to El Puente for lunch and enjoy a special off the "lunch menu" but the regular menu is quite extensive with many delicious choices. Don't waste your time on asking for salsa verde because it tastes like nothing. The queso fundido is good but gets dry and hard fast. It's not very cheesy and melty like others I've had. Don't waste your time on the guac either, it's just mashed avocado. It needs some seasoning or spice or lime at minimum. And the chicken fajita's are absolutely awful. It was so disappointing. They have a very sweet and almost bbq-like taste. Also, you really don't get much chicken even. It's mostly just onions and peppers. I had to spit them out. The rice is good though. I'd some back for drinks and chips & salsa but that would really be it. The server was good and attentive and the restaurant was decorated for Valentine's Day. It was cute. We went around 2:30pm and it was not busy.

Even though it is more upscale than your typical Mexican restaurant, the chips and salsa were still served on the house, which I appreciate. I really enjoyed the salsa, as it had a little heat and good texture. I got a regular margarita with my meal. While it could have used more salt around the rim, it was still good. The lime did not over power the tequila and it had the perfect amount of sweetness. For my meal I got 3 tacos with a side of their refried beans. I wanted to try their pork options, so I got two that were a Yucatan style and one al pastor. The Yucatan ones were fine but just not for me, as well as the beans, as they were too smokey. The al pastor taco saved my meal, as it was juicy and had so much flavor. Overall it was a fun atmosphere and nice dinner. We were seated outside around 7:30 PM, and the live music created a nice atmosphere. After being seated, our server brought chips and dip and took our drink orders. My children's drinks and my husband's drink arrived fairly quickly, but I waited quite a while for my drink. The server returned to take the adults' meal orders before my drink arrived, but did not ask for the children's orders and left the table. About an hour into our visit, we still had not received our food. When the children's meals finally arrived, one of the meals was not the cheeseburger that had been ordered. The server stated that a different kids' burger had been ordered and then took the food away. Shortly afterward, the adults' meals arrived. My parents, who joined us later, received their food soon after. While we appreciated being seated earlier than expected and enjoyed the outdoor atmosphere, the service was slow, there appeared to be confusion regarding the children's order, and the overall dining experience took much longer than anticipated. I ordered the 22 oz strawberry margarita and it was probably one of the best margs I've had. Came with strawberry slices in the drink and a tajin rim. Great deal for $10. I ended up getting three tacos traditional style: Birria, steak, and chorizo. The birria one was really good, just wish the tortilla was dipped in juice like some of the other birria tacos I've had. It was my first time having chorizo, and I would order it again. The steak taco was good, but nothing special.
