Don't get me wrong. Food is delicious. Staff is nice, but Does anyone in the restaurant business have to measure the food that they put on your plate? They do limited the portions. I don't think that's the right thing to do it since I'm paying for my own food, it doesn't matter if I can take it home I will. I went to the restaurant and ordered fried beans only to go. They asked me if I wanted one or 2 ounces they should have like a little portion already in place for maybe two or three people you know like maybe 7 ounces 8 oz. because the food is getting down but the prices are coming up so is it worth it? read more

Their prices on their menu don't even closely reflect the prices when you get there. I ordered two meals and appetizer that should've cost me $45. They charged me $67 for takeout and didn't include my drink which they told me I had to pay additional for. read more

Authentic Mexican location. It's a good-sized restaurant but the service is really good. Thier beans are vegetarian. Also, they are open to changes, which is good. I have tried tacos, giant burritos, tostada, and enchiladas here over the years. My favorite is tostada and taco dinner. The first time, I tried the jelepeno popper appetizer, which is good. Where do i begin? Walked in and not acknowledged and then told to sit anywhere. The chips were hard the salsa was the best part of the experience . Before we ordered there was a santa claus decoration that just started singing and dancing.... very weird. I got a horchata my friend got a pineapple joritos and she came back with a cracked open lime one...? And as she said pineapple she looked at the bottle and even got confused. We both got steak tacos, the tortillas were like they weren't even warmed up. The steak tasted like it was expired it had a really weird flavor. And the amount of chewy fat in those tacos was disturbing. I left 1/2 tacos there because it was so gross. After we got our food we weren't acknowledging till we left. Just ate takeout from here today. Steak Torta was mediocre. Steak was tender but the bun was soft with no crunch. Pastor tacos were good. For 1 torta and 3 tacos I paid $21.97! Should've asked for the receipt but I was in shock. When I looked at the website the prices said $7 ish for the torta and $2.80 each for the tacos. Maybe they've updated their prices recently but I still don't feel the quality/taste matched true to the price. Overall solid choice but probably won't be eating here again when there are so many other options to try. read more

Excellent service. Was greeted with chips and salsa for the table. We had the following dishes: Steak Tacos; Regular Chicken Burritos; Regular Stuffed Pepper Burrito; and Chicken Burrito dinner. All were very delicious. Large portions, great to take home for a second meal. The three sauces, red spicy, Verde, and avocado were delicious to accompany the meal. Reasonable prices. The atmosphere was very pleasant and clean. Pleasant Mexican background music, just the right volume, not too loud. We will definitely return. read more

I am grateful this spot was open late; After a long rough shift at work. This place is legit! Authentic Mexican food and very affordable! They give you chips and salsa for free if you dine in! They have this bean dip that is very good. They also provide a salsa that's on the spicy side that I enjoyed! They are very inexpensive. I was able to order a steak torta, Pork taco on corn tortilla shell, and homemade tamale under $12! The seasoning on the steak and pork was very good! Portion size is huge. I was definitely able to take food home! I recommend if you are in the area! read more

Stopped by for the first time yesterday. Ordered a burrito al pastor. Prices are high. $10 for a regular burrito. Once I received my order, I think regular was the best way to describe it. The burrito was average or less in size. Al pastor was good, but a little to cinnamon for my taste. Bottom of the burrito fell out about half way through. Both the red and green salsas were good. With all the other options for Mexican food in the area, this is a pretty easy pass. read more

Been coming here for years, in the last three weeks they screwed up the order. I always ask for no tomato on the burrito twice we get tomato. I did call and the kid says bring it back, come on man, I'm 19 min out why would I need to bring a burrito back? I asked for a credit , he says 2.00 credit on a 6.00 screw up? Food was not good. I've driven by this place for a long time and often planned to stop in and finally did last week. The chips we were given were old and stale, while the sauces were just ok and seemed to be from another bottle. Our meals were plain and tasted like they were perhaps frozen and poorly heated before being served. I would rate this as the worst Mexican restaurant I've experienced in an area that has so many excellent options. I really don't like giving such a negative review, but I won't be going back unless I hear they've improved their food quality. Have been to several Mexican restaurants n the area and we really like the authenticity of the food and servers at Los Burritos. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are big. The food always seems fresh and delicious. It seems to be family run and everyone is very friendly and accommodating. It's not the fanciest by any means and little too bright inside but the food, service and price can't be beat! Margarita's are good also but be sure to ask for "light on the ice"! read more

So I tend to be a fan of grungy worn down divey restaurants. I always think. There is a reason is still open and usually it's because of really good food. Unfortunately, this was not the case for this particular Mexican restaurant. It started well the staff was pole and inviting, and provided chips and salsa. The salsa had a nice heat and the chips were nice crispy and crispy. However the trend stopped there. I had the 3 taco dinner, 1 pastor, 1 steak, and 1 lengua. It looked good, but looks aren't everything. The pastor taco had no sweetness to it and had a curry type flavor that was perplexing to me, and the steak seemed to only be flavored with pepper. To add insult to injury, both taco meats were really dry. It was disappointing. There is a silver lining though. I would be lying if I didn't say I liked the lengua taco. It was actually really tender and juicy and like a good lengua taco, it let the nature beefy flavor come out. It lengua meat was well executed, but it too minor miscues. The amount of onions nearly over powered the taste. I removed a good portion to balance it out a bit. All in all, I was disappointed with the meal, but if you have a taco fix, it will do the job Beyer than taco bell. And if all else fails at least you can order a beer to wash away the disappointment. read more

Just ate here with my daughter, had 2 burritos carne asada, unfortunately I will never return. I should have taken a photo. Carne asada was way over cooked, or maybe had been previously cooked and was resting somewhere for hours. Giant burrito overly filled with lettuce. Best thing we ate was the chips and salsa. I didn't feel the pride in the food. Too many options near by to settle on this place. I hope they improve. Every customer is potential for return business. read more

When making the trek out to my brothers house, who lives in the very woodsy sub-division of St. Charles called Lilly Lake, I often feel like I'm in a different state. Luckily, I can now feel closer to home as I discovered another Los Burritos Mexicanos location right off 64 and Randall Rd. I say "closer to home" because I frequent the one closer to me in Villa Park quite often. I've taken a liking to the chains authentic, friendly and fast service. I ordered my usual steak burrito, and it was just as good, if not better than the ones I'm familiar with in VP. Something about the steak tasted fresher. Another one of my favorite things about Los Burritos are the salsas. Somethings about the red and green salsa here absolutely rocks my world. Flavorful with the right amount of kick, is how I best describe them. My suggestion to people all you people in St. Charles that know nothing about Mexican food outside of Chipotle, put down that $9 "burrito" with rice in it and head on over to Los Burritos Mexicans for some cheap authentic Mexican fare. This is a solid hole-in-the-wall place for Mexican food. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Enjoy.

The food here is extremely over priced. If the quality matched the sticker price I wouldn't complain, but it's honestly one of the worst Mexican restaurants around. The food came out too fast to be freshly made and the taste showed. Over cooked tortillas on the enchiladas and dry chicken. The tacos ordered weren't even made right. We asked for cilantro and onion and they came "Tourist Style." Instead of just making two more tacos and bringing them out when they were ready, they took the plates back. You NEVER take the plates back. This also made everyone else wait. Luckily they serve free chips! Oh Wait! No they fucking don't. They charged us $1.85 for each of the two baskets of chips we ordered. (I'm surprised they didn't charge for the bottled sauces!) Drinks ran dry towards the last quarter of the meal. In hindsight, I'm glad we didn't reorder because that most likely would have been another $3. Avoid this place at all costs. There are SO many cleaner places that have nice staff and good food. read more

Decent food, stopped for lunch on Sunday afternoon - everybody really liked the food. Inside is a remodeled Old Pizza Hut; so imaging an old Pizza Hut seating area freshened up with new decor. Servers were great and attentive; chips and salsa were good. You get three squeeze bottles with other variations and types of salsa that were good too. Well, there are two good things I will say. Their steak is very high quality. It's nicely seasoned and juicy. Also, their prices are quite reasonable. Three tacos for under $9.00 with rice and beans is more than fair. That said, nothing else really thrilled me here. The salsa was straight liquid, almost like soup. The chips tasted a little bit stale, they just didn't have that love in them. Also, I didn't care for the marinade on the chicken. And my Coke was watered down. The service was fair enough, although I wish my water glass hadn't remained empty for ten minutes without a refill. I just can't imagine going back here. read more

Prior to leaving this review, we reached out to the manager with the hopes of a response (they say on their site they'll get back to you within 48hrs) but it's been five days, so I felt fine about leaving a review. For the second time, we received what should have been $14-ish worth of food and paid $29. The menu prices are not real and they charge double, without explanation or notice. We paid $10 for a "side quesadilla," which was the size of a street taco and a sprinkle of cheese. Our two burritos were generously portioned, but wildly greasy and under seasoned. The staff is rude (also, I'm bilingual so it isn't a language barrier situation) and this dirty old Pizza Hut restaurant is awful. They used to be good (and honest about their pricing?!) but it's gross in taste and practice. We have a ton of delicious and kindly staffed Mexican restaurants to choose from around here, go to any one of those for something far better. read more

Great first experience. Looking for simple good Mexican street style tacos. They nailed it. Have plenty of options but I tried Tacos Pastor (marinated pork) with just cilantro and onion on corn tortillas. Excellent. Good meat and flavor. Fresh. Tasty. Three was plenty of food. Homemade house salsa was really good. Fresh and nice savory spicy balance. So much better than store bought. House made guacamole also good. Had good beer choices. Staff was really nice and service was great. Hole in the wall building ugly as heck but very clean and pleasant inside. Definitely will try again. read more
