It's archway is very quaint and romantic. There are a few charming shops and restaurants. Parking is in the back on Green St... not 100% sure if it's free. Free street parking is on Colorado Blvd at this time. However, they already have a pay parking station right in front of Arcade Lane. It's not active yet until sometime in 2026. It's coming... Good to see a community come together like this. We stopped for coffee and noted Whole Foods, Einstein Bagels, Vromans bookstore etc then in search of Rite Aid, walked through the cut to emerge into the empty Chuck E Cheese Rite Aid side of the plaza. I parked in the parking lot behind Nick's and depending when you go, you might have to pay or it will be free. Since I parked my car after 7pm on a Wednesday, it's free. I wasn't sure at first and tried paying at the parking machine and also through the mobile app but it wasn't working. It wasn't until I walked inside Pet Food Express and the worker let me know they stop enforcing the parking time limit after 5pm on weekdays.

You wouldn't think there are plenty of parking from the main street. There are pay parking stations. Please read the signs. Certain time limits are free. To me that's service from the city of Pasadena. Thank you!!! Otherwise, you'll have to pay for parking. Cost shouldn't be too bad though. There are actually a few blocks of shops and eateries that pertain to South Lake Avenue. Selections are fantastic. I haven't visited all of them. Here are a few mentionables... Years ago, this was a very dreary shopping center that used to house misc stores and the long gone Super A market. The always near empty parking lot gave this place an abandoned ghost town feel. But fast forward a few years, and a whole crop of Asian eateries and a new supermarket has brought life back to this little shopping center. As of early 2016, tenants include: Momo Bistro & Bakery (though Yelp still lists it as Momo Crab House) Yi Mei (Taiwanese comfort food) a Karate studio, Shanghai Gourmet (specializing in ..duh! Shaghai food) ID Cha House, Lucious Dumpling, a laundrymat and Jim's Famous Burgers. As of 2/27/16, a new market called Good Fortune opened and a new business called Mack'y Noodle House is under construction, making these the newest additions to the Mon-Arc Center. Over the past few years, these businesses have brought more traffic and life back to a depressing, should've-been torn down shopping center. This center has brought in the right businesses to serve the neighborhood demographics and has made grabbing some comfort food and shopping for produce very convenient for me. I'm giving it 4 stars because my only complaint is the parking lot should be a bit bigger and the exit lane out of the parking lot isn't wide enough, so it backs up traffic at times. But since they can't expand the lot and let's face it, some people here simply drive lousy, I'll just have to deal with it. Notes: * On weekends and Asian holidays like the Lunar New Year, expect the parking lot to be very full. * Their website is painfully outdated with wrong information and photos. * I've tried all of the eateries here except ID Cha House, and they're all pretty good, serving different regions of Chinese food. * As of 3/1/16, Good Fortune market hasn't fully stocked their inventory yet and some parts are still under construction. I really don't know where people park when they are dining at CTK. Perhaps nearby street parking. Whenever I come here, I've gotten lucky to park in the lot. Thank you! Please note each parking spot is tiny. I'm pretty sure they are all compact size. Be careful when you're driving into the space and pulling out of the space. Besides CTK, other tenants are the dentistry, law office, donut shop, and Indian cuisine. There is a 2nd floor... not sure who and/or what is up there. I may not need the other services, but maybe I will drop by the donut shop one day.
