Saw their food truck in a convenience store parking lot and I am a sucker for tacos so I had to try them. I got the asada mini tacos and they did not disappoint. It was filling and the meat was flavorful with the green salsa and slices onions and fresh lime juice to brighten them up! I will definitely be back to try other items. read more

I ordered quesabirria tacos and they gave me birria tacos with no cheese. I drove back through the drive through to tell them and she asked for the tacos back through the window which violates the food safety law in every state. I asked her are you sure as this violates health code and she still demanded them back. You cannot receive food back through the window after it has left the building. The tacos were ok as they were soggy and not griddled crispy like I make them. They fell apart in the consommé. She didn't make me fresh tacos she was so cheap the remade my original order. read more

Hot dang y'all this is one of my favorite places for authentic Mexican tacos. Their mini tacos with hot salsa are soooo good, but you may need to order more than the 4 that come it. This was our third trip in two weeks. We ordered nearly the same every time... 4 mini tacos and chicken fajita quesadillas. I forgot what our friends ordered. Two out of three times the chicken was old and dry. So it wasn't great biting into a quesadilla just to pull old, dry chicken out your mouth. Our friends ordered another dish that was delicious but she can't remember what is was. I will go back, but I think only on the weekends when they seem busy. Why am I eating again? Because I like to knock out two or three things in one little mini trip. This is a new Taqueria Jalisco's style which opened up right next to that highly popular mexican cafe around here. They have three other locations in San Antonio and all have drive-thrus. I got a pastor taco for $2.25. The meat was well caramelized in a slightly sweet, very bronzed and greasy in a good way sauce. I've never had passed or pork so caramelized on the grill. It was very flavorful. The tortilla was a little crispy to my taste, and I'm not even sure if it was homemade. I may try the corn ones next. Next time I might get some mini tacos if they have them or a flight of three regular tacos with three different Meats to see which one I like the best. But if the taste of this Pastor is any indication, I think I found a great new drive through in New Braunfels with meat tacos in the $2.50 range and Tortas for $4.99. read more

Not taking away from the business or the people that work there but to be honest the food can be better. I ordered a Californian Burrito and Carne Asada Super Nachos! I'm from California and the carne asada has good flavor but the fries were raw they did not cook them right and there was no sour cream in the burrito!! I didn't finish it as it wasn't good. The super nachos are all tortilla chips and a minimal amount of toppings. The nachos were super dry and they made you feel as if you got a big meal but you are only able to eat the very top chips. I will honestly not go back but I gave it a try! read more

Every person working there is super friendly (I mean the kind of service that leaves you smiling because they're so genuine). Hello all, I really enjoy this spot because it has a great drive thru and if you don't want to wait in the line you can easily park and place your order at the window. I saw a review on here that states you can't sit down and eat which is about as false as it can get. Although it is not ideal they do have tables you can sit at outside, no they don't really serve because this joint is more of a drive thru but none the less there's is space to sit down. Prices are average and fair for a non-chain restaurant who can't afford to give you max product at the lowest price. I have had several meals here for I catch myself eating here 3 or 4 times a month. I mainly have tacos and burritos so I can definitely vouch for those. read more

Best kept secret in New Braunfels! Located next to large Mexican restaurant (that buries it food under a lot of cheese), I feel the need to stand on corner holding a sign redirecting people to this place! Ordered pretty much everything off the menu. It's all good! Staff is friendly. Breakfast tacos always hot. Corn tortillas made on the spot. There is a 7 min wait, but worth it! GORDITAS are made fresh. Posole is fresh and for your traditional eaters lengua is awesome. read more

My daughter and I ate here a couple of weeks ago. I was pretty excited to try it out!! I ordered two Asada tacos and one carne guisada taco. My daughter got two bacon and egg tacos. Tried the asada taco first and WOW was it super salty and overly seasoned. Couldn't finish it so decided to try the carne guisada.... took one bite and could barely swallow it. I swear it tasted like dog food. Daughter said the bacon in her tacos didn't taste good either. The next day my stomach didn't feel good at all, many many many trips to the toilet. I am convinced the only saving grace of this place is this location, which is super convenient, and the fact that Nopalitos down the street is currently shut down. I'm surprised to see people call this authentic Mexican food. My six-year-old daughter loves breakfast tacos, and will eat them from almost anywhere, even taco Cabanna. Both times we've gone, she refused to eat breakfast tacos from here, she said the bread tastes horrible. Their tortillas are certainly not homemade, and have that chemical smell and flavor of store-bought tortillas. The tortilla also falls to shreds when you try to eat the taco, which makes me think they're actually pre-frozen. Also, whoever puts the tacos together doesn't seem to understand proportions. My daughter's taco had about a teaspoon of refried beans, and about 4 teaspoons of cheese. Whereas my taco had a tiny pinch of cheese, and plenty of the other ingredients. Also the potatoes in my taco where undercooked large chunks full of black spots, I had to pick most of them out of the taco to eat. The salsa is a little different, but it tastes okay. Still, it's pretty bad when taco cabana tastes better and seems more authentic than your taco place. There are at least a dozen taco places within a 2 mile radius that have this place topped, hands down. read more
