Logan was awesome! He is the best server I've had in so long! He's so personable and we've had so many conversations with him! Reminds me of when I was serving and really got to know/talk to my customers and it's been such a good Time! Sunday, 5-31-2026: Huge family gathering here for brunch. (We were a party of 11). Our server, Pau, worked tirelessly for us, she was just amazing & patient considering that we were such a large party. Love the eclectic decor & the architectural details throughout the restaurant; very classy & unique with a touch of the whimsical. The lighting fixtures were works of art. Kudos to the designer. Quite a feast not just for your stomach but for your eyes, as well. Food was excellent! I was bad & ordered a Mexiccino drink from their brunch menu. I believe it consisted of brandy & cappuccino. Great atmosphere. Delicious food. Wonderful service. We went on a Tuesday evening and were seated right away. Tyler was attentive and offered suggestions on entrees and drinks. Seven of us at the table and all of our meals were delivered as requested. Well done Tyler. The queso with taco meat was GOOD! We enjoyed it. Portion sizes were huge. We're officially done coming here. The bartenders prioritize themselves over the customer experience. If you're not seated at the bar, forget about getting a drink in a reasonable amount of time. My husband and I like to enjoy a drink before our meals arrive, yet the drinks consistently show up after the food - every single time. The waitstaff has hinted that the bartenders deliberately deprioritize table drinks over those seated at the bar because they have to share those tips. I've brought this issue to management multiple times, yet nothing ever changes. I've even pointed out that I'd order a second drink if I thought it would arrive before the check, but apparently they'd rather lose revenue than address the issue. The food is ok but there are plenty of other great restaurants in the area that know how to treat all their guests - not just the ones parked at the bar. read more

I've come here before when they had a soft opening and shortly right after they opened to the public and the service and food was great. Nothing has changed since then. We were seated pretty quickly. Our waitress was named Victoria. She was attentive and amazing! I did a little code to let her know it was my husband's birthday and she totally understood! Lol, that girl is sharp! Our food came out fast, hot and was tasty. We were stuffed! The manager came out to introduce himself and ask if we needed anything. Then a group of employees came out and sang happy birthday in Spanish to him while placing a large sombrero on his head. He turned tomato red but was happy. He even got a flan to enjoy. Disappointed!! Have been to the locations in San Antonio without issue and figured this would be a great place to eat....not the case. Service was lousy, waitress got several of our orders wrong or forgotten all together. Ordered a child's plate for our 6 year old and was brought an adult chicken quesadilla with pico de gallo. Needless to say our child didn't eat it. When the waitress realized she made the error she didn't offer to correct it on our bill but instead we had to ask her to charge us for what we actually ordered not what she "thought" we ordered. Went in today with my niece. We love Lupe and since moving from Houston a year ago, I haven't had it... so I was excited. First, let me start off by saying our waiter was super nice. However, we ordered the hatch chile queso and added fajita beef... it came out and there were 3 tiny pieces of beef in the cheese. Like they literally took one strip of fajita meat and cut it into thirds. I called for the manager and with a huge attitude he grabbed the bowl and walked back into the kitchen. He came back and very rudely set it on the table, we thanked him and he walked away with no response. Our meal was delicious, but when the ticket came out we looked it over and saw they charged us almost $20 for the hatch queso. Apparently they gave us the large without us asking us what size we wanted... so again I called for the manager and he came from the kitchen with a mouthful of food and very rudely said "so you are wanting me to charge you for the smaller one?" Ummmm... yes! And have some manners and swallow the food in your mouth before very rudely coming to a paying customers table. This manager is AWFUL and reading through some of the previous reviews on google, I am seeing that this isn't the first time he's had complaints. His name is Adan! Do better Lupe tortilla! For such a large chain, you guys can at least find better managers. Will def wait til my next trip to Houston or a diff town before visiting another one. read more

Got seated and it took a little while for someone to come to the table for my order, so when they came I know my app and meal, their salsa is amazing, as well as the charro beans, the food was really good, our waiter was amazing and the drinks are strong. I've not been disappointed here. Some may say it's a little expensive but you pay what you get for. I love their little beans they serve with the chips. Very flavorful. What a major disappoint this place was . Had a table for 10 and we sat there eating beans and salsa for 2 hours until half of our food came out cold and burnt . Waitress was friendly and nice , but was utterly embarrassed and we were understanding for her, it wasn't her fault . Luckily the other half of our plates came out 20 minutes later , again, cold and tasted burnt . Should have just read recent reviews before going, because apparently that's the new thing there. Took 2 bites of my dish , only thing worth eating was the side of rice . We would have been better off swinging into Taco Bell. The entire kitchen is a disaster . When we asked for a manager we were told they left early that night. They comp'd a few things and tried to smooth things over with a plate of free sopaipillas. Been here a few times but this time was completely different. My friend and no I sat at the bar because we didn't want to wait for a table and there was plenty of room at the bar. The person working the bar was alone, and was getting slammed left and right with drink orders. All the staff was just lining up to get their drinks and not one of them even asked him if they could help or anything. (Cool don't go out of your way when you clearly see your teammate struggling). Anyways, the guy was killing it, the drinks, the orders from us bar people, the demands of changing the tv channels and so much more. I wish I got his name, but he definitely deserves a raise and another person in the bar helping him out. read more

This restaurant's location (NB) came out swinging, but has been in a steep decline over the last 6+ months. Food quality poor, portion size diminished and the bar staff is overwhelmed! We waited a solid 40 mins before I asked the bartender to check on our food ... he replied, "Patients My Friend". This type of behavior/attitude was non-existent in the beginning. BTW, he dressed my margarita w/o asking, and brought my wife a large beer vs. a small despite asking her preference twice. Look closely at the pics ... how expensive is Mexican Rice, the Flauta left of the Tacos arrived "literally" 1/3 the size from the Restaurant's Opening/Launch and where is the Ground Beef in my Tacos? Management shouldn't need to be told.... NOTE: Torchy's Restaurant is a better value at half the price!! My wife had a few little Valentine's gifts ready for my oldest son and his wife who live in New Braunfels. We decided to drive up there and take them to lunch so we could drop the gifts off. We let them choose the place, and ended up here. The restaurant was very nice. I liked the way it was laid out and decorated. I didn't research it, but it definitely gives off "big chain" vibes. It is supposed to be Tex Mex, and did a pretty good job in that direction. I would never choose it as a place to eat in San Antonio. I am definitely one of those people who prefers the little mom and pop Mexican restaurants we have on every corner in San Antonio. Everyone enjoyed their food. I had the avocado toast with two sunny side up eggs. My only negative comment is that there was no salt on any of it. They also did not have any salt available on the table. I flooded it with their hot sauce, and even that did not provide any saltiness- or heat for that matter. Just the same, I enjoyed the meal. I wasn't very hungry and wanted something light. I didn't pay enough attention to what the others ate to say more about the food. Oh... wait... I should mention the chips. They brought the biggest complimentary bowl of tortilla chips I have seen in a restaurant. I was surprised because many places have reduced the portion and started charging for them. They had two salsas. One was a warm and very tasty traditional one. The other was almost like a bowl of borracho beans. My wife ordered some chili con queso and they brought another huge bowl of the warm chips with that. They were so good that I had a hard time sticking to my limit of 10 chips. Our server was very good. She got all the orders right. She was very pleasant, but she did not hover over us at all. When my tea was ready to be refilled, she magically appeared to ask if I wanted more. Some servers don't ask men if they want more. They just bring it and ruin your perfectly sweetened glass. It wouldn't matter here because they just bring a new glass full of tea. But, getting that new glass when I don't want it annoys me. I like to be asked. Anyway, I would go back here again for a regular meal, so that I can judge it on the tortillas, rice, and beans the way I usually do. I also want to try some of their margaritas. First things first, the food is great. Delicious fajitas. Great service, but with a caveat. If you want to know the caveat, keep reading. I'm a resident of Sugar Land, TX, a suburb of Houston, TX. I've visited New Braunfels a number of times, and I've always felt the disdain. On a previous visit, we were yelled at and called "terrorists" in the parking lot of Target nearby this restaurant. It's just the way it is. So I don't want to blame this restaurant for what is the overall vibe of the town. When we walked in, the greeters immediately looked at us like "Oh. It's those people." The contempt was searing. I realize the situation in the Middle East, and nearing the presidential election has certain people feeling a certain way but, usually, most people are able to contain it. Not them. They wouldn't even look at us and their faces were of disgust. They grabbed the menus, and just started walking. Barely a word. Normally, I would just walk out, but I had my teen daughter with me and I try my best to shield her from this stuff. But this was too much. When the waitress came, I couldn't help myself but to ask, "Are we not wanted here?" After that, the waitress went above and beyond to treat us with such kindness and smiles, it almost made up for the initial reception. Then the manager came to our table and said the waitress talked to him and he wanted us to feel valued and respected as customers. I greatly appreciated this. I left a big tip and it was well deserved. Food was delicious and the waitress and manager were fantastic. Sadly, I must advise that if women in your party wear Hijab, I'd advise you stick to drive-thru fast food or pack picnic baskets if you're passing through or visiting New Braunfels. read more

We sat at the bar to grab some beers and some queso. They had a happy hour going on, which was great. The prices were all right. This location was super nice though I was in love with the bar. The lights to set up everything in general was really nice. Very cool place to take a family out for a nice dinner. Turns out, we've been to Lupe Tortilla before. We were told that they had the best fajitas. Well, we had to find out. We went in for dinner on a Friday night, great night to go, we got there around 6pm, and our wait time was pretty short, about 10 minutes. We got sat in the bar area, big table for six. While we waited I got me a michelada, it was happy hour. The bar area popping. Load and full. They brought us chips and salsa and beans, borderline burnt. I should have said something, but I didn't because someone in our group said that is the way the beans are, apparently someone else has been here more that I. The ambiance was nice, really laid back and casual. Some customers were pretty dressed up. Not Sunday best, but good looking crowd. I ordered the tacos Al carbon, and I was not impressed. The tortilla was about 10" around, with 4 pieces of sliced, and tenderized fajita meat. The flavor was good, but I am not a fan of tenderized fajita meat. The sides were on the plate, and glad to say that these beans were not burnt. Maria had the Garcia plate, which was a whole lot better than my plate. She always gets the better plate. Came with a chalupa, crispy taco, and a puffy taco. Rice and beans. I recommend this plate. The fajitas are not the best, that is just my opinion. read more
