Beef enchiladas meal

Went here for dinner yesterday and OMG the salsa and chips are TOP NOTCH!! The salsa is my favorite now! Their chips were fresh and served warm! So yummy! The service was great and friendly and polite! They were very helpful with making selections and had a hard time choosing! We sat outside because they have a great playground for the kids to run around so it was spacious and nice bench seating outside! This is one of my favorite places now! Second time coming

New Braunfels, you guys did amazing with this place! From the inviting ambiance to the food. We had the wagyu beef which is delicious, hands down! Queso compuesto was a delicious appetizer. Mind you, our waitress Haley was the bomb !!! Super sweet, great recommendations and very attentive. Husband wants me to express his highly liking of their old fashion.

I've been avoiding this place for awhile. I have lived in NB for 20+ years and we loved Adobe Verde before 10ish years ago, it started going downhill. They got new owners and it was okay but still not great. We heard they rebranded with a new name and owner and we finally agreed to try it. We were seated quickly. Party of 3. They had happy hour, even on a Sunday, but we ordered drinks from their regular menu. Palomas and some spicy drink. I would come back just for drinks!!! They were delicious. Food was fine. Two of us had the shrimp tacos. Super flavorful but so tiny. Birria flautas were good. I could have used more consommé. Bathrooms were clean. Server was sweet. The rice was yummy but the queso was too thick. We added ground beef but it wasn't that great. Oh, the mango pico on the shrimp tacos was great.

Overall food was really good, until we got a visitor -- I thought only one ... GUYS there was like 15 mice. The manager comped our meal however her words were "haven't seen any in days".... What?!

The lunch I got was great it was there take on chicken fried steak. Was served over mashed potatoes with cheese sauce with roasted corn. It was delicious and just a little bit spicy which enhanced the flavor. The service was good brought are drinks timely and the food was prepared and brought out quickly. The place looks rustic but had indoor and outdoor seating, it's a good place to stop by if you're in Gruene.

Great Food, Great Atmosphere and DAMN GOOD DRINKS! We love this place and eat here quite often. Their street tacos are great and all of the birria items are great too. Highly recommend their frozen margaritas. Outdoor patio is great for having some cocktails and having the kiddos play on the playground. Owners walk around and speak to the customers and love to do so. Y'all have to come and try this place out!

Exceptional service and great food. Dianna did a fabulous job. Asada street tacos and the guacamole highly recommend.

Our mixologist, Logan (absolutely wonderful human being) not only made us the most delicious pecan praline whiskey cocktail but he also gave use some incredible history on the space & of course the ghosts! The limestone walls are original. Much of the decor adorning the walls was found in the building. Some of the wall hangings include an original bond and doctor prescriptions for whiskey. The furnishings and accessories complement the rooms to enhance the feeling of old-west prohibition. The velvet pieces exemplify burlesque. Total "hitch your horse to a post, mosey on down for a secret drink and a good time" vibes. Logan spun a tale of ghosts appearing in selfies taken by previous guests. The story was sensational and I was all about it. A wonky thing happened with the POS system while we were there that required a reboot. I joked that the ghosts thought I was taking too many pictures. Dark, moody, sexy, and relaxing...everything you want in a speakeasy---& good drinks too, of course. Absolute works of liquid art!

We came on a weekday therefore it wasn't busy at all. The bartender was very friendly. Cocktails were great. The other room felt weird with the restroom washing station being next to the seating.

You go way to the back and down a steep flight of stairs. My son, his wife, and I left my wife and grandbaby in the saloon and headed down. When you get down there, you are suddenly in a beautiful Tiki bar with so many amazing things to gawk at. It sort of felt like waking up in OZ. We were the first people there, so we got to sit at the bar and watch our drinks being made. They have about 15 or so different specialty tiki drinks. Each one comes in a particular piece of glassware. I don't know how the bartender keeps them straight. He was constantly pouring different things into a shaker. Then he would shake it and pour it into the glass that was already filled with crushed ice. One of the drinks even had a smoking cinnamon stick. My drink was really good. It was the Three Dots and a Dash. It came in a barrel and was decorated with a skull toothpick that had three cherries and a piece of pineapple to represent the dots and dash. It was super strong! I was ready to risk it all and go for another drink, but it had gotten packed inside the bar. We could tell the bartender was stressing. They really need two for times like that. My wife spends the night at my son's house in New Braunfels every Thursday to give them a date night. Evidently, this is where they always go. I can certainly see why!

This is not a place to have a quick drink, as the bartenders really craft the art of the cocktail you order (expect 15-20 min for 2 drinks). I would love to come back and try more!

We intended to have 2 each but had to stick with one in order to function afterwards. I had the CFC Biscuit Benedict and you can customize it with spicy chicken or hot honey. I got the hot honey and it was perfect! It was so delicious I don't leave a morsel behind. My friend and I shared the salted caramel brownie for my birthday, and that was also delicious. I can't wait to come back here and this says a lot since I'm not big of fried chicken. Theirs is fried to perfection (soft on the inside and just crunchy enough on the outside). You're seriously missing out!

Last night I finally brought my husband to try it after hyping it up for so long, and unfortunately it was a huge disappointment. Things have definitely changed. I was really looking forward to the chicken fried chicken, only to find out they were completely out of mashed potatoes. For a place known for chicken, that was surprising. So I ended up just sharing some of my husband's meal and our appetizer. The cornbread has always been something I rave about, especially with their hot honey. This time it came out dry, and the hot honey had no heat at all. It just was not the same. My husband's fried chicken was honestly the worst part. It was burnt, with a layer of black under the breading, and tasted like it had been overcooked to the point of being charred. There is no way the kitchen did not see how dark it was before serving it. That said, his sides were still great, so at least part of the meal was enjoyable. Our friend's chicken sandwich was not terrible, but it did not taste fresh like it used to. It felt more like something frozen and heavily breaded instead of the quality we had experienced before. One positive was the service. Our server was wonderful, and the rest of the staff was kind and attentive as well. I accidentally spilled my drink right after it arrived, and they were quick and gracious to replace it even though it was completely my fault. That was very much appreciated. The other issue that really took away from the experience was the atmosphere. Halfway through our meal, a large group of adults sat in the courtyard and had their children sit separately at a table right next to us, while their parents remained in another section of the patio. The kids were clearly having fun and playing games, which is great, but they were also very loud and screaming just a foot away from our table while their parents enjoyed quiet drinks elsewhere. There were completely open sections of the patio farther away where they could have sat, so it was frustrating that they were placed right next to the only other table of adults trying to enjoy a night out. It ended up being very disruptive and took away from what we had hoped would be a relaxing evening. Overall, I was really disappointed. This used to be a place I highly recommended, but after this visit it feels like the quality and attention to detail have slipped. I truly hope they can get back to what made them so great before.

At one time cotton was grown here until a boll weevil infestation wiped out the crops. Anyhow, I could hear live music emanating from this dance hall. I could see it was a very relaxed, casual, & family oriented gathering place. Then I found out this dance hall is one of the oldest in Texas! My husband and his family have fond memories of being at dance halls. This was so interesting to me because it's such a different culture from mine. We didn't have dance halls in the Philippines or California. There is a bar you pass by to get beer and other spirits. I don't as told that locals & visitors will leisurely hang out here. When we walked in, I see the pictures of popular artists and performers who had been at this place posted at its reception wall. It would be nice if they have open up the dance floor but I guess it's only during nighttime visit that they do that. You could place an order of drinks or an appetizer while watching the show. Or if you feel like staying in the bar, where you could still hear the band , you are welcome to do so . How cool is that ? The location is in a busy community street and popular small town. It's worth swinging by during a visit in this area.
