The portions for the prices is insane (in a bad way) I could have gone to Texas Roadhouse for a fulfilling meal for a good price. The fajita meat for the tacos and papas asadas is good but lacks seasoning and it's extremely greasy/oily so that messes up all the food. My tortilla de harina got soggy fast because of the greasy meat. And the papa asada same thing extra greasy. I loved the vibe of the place, it felt like a traditional Mexican spot. We went in here looking for a good traditional Mexican burger and we found it. It was so delicious, it did take some time for the order to come out but goes to show how fresh it was. I went with El Mexicano and decided to opt out on the ham but it was so delicious and savory. I actually lament not having been able to finish it all. We'll definitely be back to try the hotdogs. read more

The parking to this place is easy. And there is plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. It is always clean and they sell some pretty Mexican plant pots outside that are fun to look at. The food here is super good! It's some of the best tacos and quesadillas on the east side lol they have a lot of food options and they are all so yummy! Our waitress was quick on her feet and was very polite. She came and checked in on us a couple times to see if we needed anything else and was attentive. My boyfriend and I came for the first time and here is the inside scoop: Ambiance: They offer inside and outside seating. The outside looks nice at night because they have these pretty string lights that really put the place together. The inside needs a little more shaping up as far as decoration goes. However it has a lot of potential! They have working A/C to beat that Texas heat though! And the place is not loud so it's perfect for having conversations. As far as cleanliness goes, A+. Service: When you get here they ask you if it's for here or to go and if you're dining in you can pick your own table. The staff is very friendly and attentive. We came on a night where it was not slow, but even so, the staff was quick on their feet and very proactive. They are wiping down tables and preparing them for the next customers, theyre working as a team to keep the establishment clean, and they're checking up on everyone to make everyone is being taken care of. Food: We ordered 1 taco de trompo, a order of chicken tacos (5 in one order) and 2 quesadillas the pollo and here are our thoughts: 1: Taco de Trompo: I like to dress up mine with grilled onions, regular cut onions, cilantro, green salsa and limón. The meat was pretty good and tender. The taco was hot and yummy! I give it a 8/10. 2. Tacos de pollo: I think that the chicken alone (before you dress up the taco, if you take that route) is very plain. It was probably just seasoned with salt. I'm a woman of flavor, so I was expecting a little more. However after dressing it up with all my favorite toppings I'd give it a good 7/10. 3. Quesadilla de pollo: my boyfriend had this dish and this is his review: As mentioned previously the chicken did lack seasoning but the queso and lime made it better. The tortilla de harina (flour) was good. I rate it a 6/10. Honorable mentions: This location has a little post where they sell Mexican artisan products which is pretty cool and worth taking a look. After considering all factors above we give this place an overall score of 7/10. Hey y'all first time here, place had plenty of parking, service was a little slow, took more than 5 min to have Someone come to the table, but seems that we have allowed this to be the norm these days. They have televisions playing sports and music in the background. The setup is nice, ambience is pretty cool. Food was good I had the polémica burger wife had a baked potato loaded with fajita. They only had cantaloupe fresh water they were out of pina and sandía, on a Friday night around 10pm and they close at midnight, had to get the Piña . Sodas are can and they have water bottles. DO NOT GO HERE IF PAYING WITH A DEBIT/CREDIT CARD. They add 10 % to every menu item you buy. Thi is illegal in Texas. They are responsible for any fees charged to them from credit card use. We went before the "opening time" which was confusing. The hours are all different on every website I checked. So because we went early the food was not prepared or the Pastor/Trompo meat was not ready for order. They only had bistec which was so dry I'm sure it was left over from the previous day. Let's start with the fries. They were basic, taste store bought. The hot dogs were amazing. They wrap all their dogs in bacon which makes everything taste better. I had the nino dog and it was delicious. The kids had plain hotdogs wrapped in bacon, and they loved it. The atmosphere wasn't bad, it was warm, like the ac wasn't working. I get there at 11:15, and on there google gps site says there open til 12:00. They had the courtesy to tell me they were closed. Then why say have it open til 12:00. Their hot dogs aren't just like any other hot dog, they're fill with cheese, wrapped in bacon & filled with yummy toppings. Some come with beans & avocado, other have cheese & pineapple slices.
