Its a drive out east of Houston but should be on your bucket list if you're into authentic Mexican food. The natural fruit drinks are amazing, will not disappoint. The alcoholic drinks are very nice. Who's over here giving bad reviews? This place was bomb. the consume was meaty and flavorful. The birria tacos were all amazing. I liked my friend's drink, although her boyfriend didn't, only because he doesn't care for grapefruit. The prices were decent. when you're done with your meal they give you a receipt with the address to the farm. It's about 8 minutes away from the place. I we got meat and it was everything I hoped for. The only thing was the elote. I dunno if there was too much juice or it was so hot it melted the crema, but it came out watery. After all the social media hyped, I had to come check it out. Our day started really early to avoid crowds. We arrived at the Channelview location/Magnolia st. @7:30am. Their website stated they open at 7:30, but turns out they are currently under renovations. -Farm animals are at the magnolia location and they do still allow you to go see them and purchase cheese and other items. No restaurant service at the moment due to renovations. Drove to freeway feeder location as it was put closed location and turns out they open at 9am. Went to market location and yay! They opened at 8am. We opt to seat outside, it was empty at this time and we were the only ones until @9am. Kathy took our order, she was sweet and helpful. Location was quite spacious allowing you to enjoy time with your party. We order charola birria and it was quite a good size for 3 of us. The chicken mole was hands-down the best I've ever had at a restaurant, and the lamb tacos? Incredible! Honestly, I want to find the chef and kiss them for creating such a masterpiece. Parking was a breeze when I arrived, though I can see how it might get crowded during peak hours. I went on a Saturday early evening, and it did start to fill up as the night went on. Our server was fantastic. She was attentive, friendly, and efficient. The rice and tortillas were also outstanding. They were flavorful and perfectly prepared. I'm pretty sure the tortillas are freshly made. The only downside to this place is they don't have a lot of sweet options. We got the Caramel filled churros which were good but I'd like a tres leches cake or flan. The ambiance was another highlight--adorable and vibrant with flowers everywhere, making the experience even more delightful. Seen this on the app and thought had to try it, it's a small little place, menu looked appealing, I had high hopes for a hidden gem, we ordered and waited and waited and waited finally asked for our food and eventually was brought out. The location is an industrial area so be cautious. This place has great advertisement but I was disappointed with the food. My family and I ordered the empanadas de queso which were very delicious. We also ordered coctel de Camaron that included chamoy which gave it an odd taste and the meat on the lamb tacos was very salty and unenjoyable. I would come multiple times in the same week to eat here however after not coming in a couple of years I noticed the food prep and portions are very very different. Our food was disgusting! We ordered huitlacoche quesadillas: it mostly had regular mushrooms & just 3 pieces of huitlacoche, flor de calabaza quesadilla: they left the stems on ‍ flor de jamaica: they used dried Jamaica, you know the kind you need to boil and steep to make agua de Jamaica! The flowers were definitely not edible bc they were dry and chewy! The fajita empanadas were also not good, the empanada itself was deep fried and you could taste old oil & the fajita was mostly nerve & super chewy. I googled, Yelped, and mapped establishments on where to find one. After finding so many in various areas of Houston, I looked at all photos to see which enticed the most. I found it. "Birrieria & Micheladas" on Market St. Their FB page has so many photos of several menu item offerings. Look for yourself and you'll be enticed. I asked my friend Kim (who also wanted to try birria tacos) to join on this magical taco field trip. Here is my opinion: -Complimentary chips & salsa: Chips were fresh fried tortillas cut into triangles, just the way I like them. Salsa was forgettable. -Melon agua fresca: Great size, cute and clever serving container, melon taste wasn't very strong. -Elote: Corn, mayo, cheese, fresh chamoy. It would have been great, but they put way too much cheese. I like cheese, but it killed it. I tried giving it another chance. No. I left it there. -Birria tacos (offered in the original lamb or beef): I ordered the four taco special and my review is on the birria lamb tacos. I felt like I was making out with the taco at one point. A lot of "Ohh" and "Wow" words were spoken aloud. You take the taco and dip it in the natural lamb juice. My first run in with Birria tacos so I really dont have anything else to compare them to. Personally, I really liked them. They have beef and lamb. I went with the beef. It was flavorful and tender. I did find a bone in one of mine, but it wasn't enough to detour me. They were also big and full of meat and cheese. I was able to only eat 1 and 1/2 before I just started picking the beef out and dipping it into the broth. I found the broth to be tasty, but again I dont have any other place to compare it to. Now for the reason for the 3 star review. I also ordered elotes. I have to admit that I've had better, so if I go back I'll skip that. I also ordered guacamole... wasn't a fan. It just tasted off. Also wont order that if I return. The 3rd item that I'll skip next time was the mangonada. I've had ones that were so much better. It was like it had been frozen... was icy and not creamy at all. The Mexican Coke was great... of course. Will I go back? Maybe... there's green pozole on the menu that I'd like to try... I'd also like to try the churos. They looked great. There's also a couple other desserts that I'd like to try. But before I return, I think I'll seek out other Birria taco places so I'll have something to compare theirs to. read more

Next time I'm trying the horchata for sure because it come in multiple sizes! Everyone had it so it's gotta be good right?
