Food is amazing. My favorite is the Geckos pasta with the tortilla side soup. And their café de olla is really good too. Been coming here for years and the service is always 10/10.

If your in South El Monte area this place is legit we had been coming here for years but then stopped for whatever reason started to come back and this place does not skip a beat the food is still amazing....one of my favorite places for Cafe De Olla and their Tortas and the bfast Chilaquiles and don't get me started on the French Toast one word WOW a must try for sure plus it's family owner and they are so pleasant and always cheerful and very welcoming too a must visit

    Large pazole

I come here regularly and I noticed a big difference in service today. There was a different cook and waitress today. My husband and I were not greeted and told to sit wherever we want. We both got large pazoles and that took about 40 minutes. We heard the customers sitting behind us mention how long their food was taking and upset that they didn't have pancakes. The pazole was still good and I hope to keep coming here.

I tried Ajos y Cebollas years ago when they first opened. So I stoped by today because I was craving a caffe de Olla. They did not disappoint. The coffee was authentic served with carmelized melted sugar (piloncillo). I ordered the machaca plate that came with refried bean and Mexican style potato's Como Tia made it. I started with a bowel of Fedeo soup. Like my Tia Carmen's. I also tried there capeotada. The capeotada was fancier than my Tia Carmela's. It was very good. Drizzled with chocolate and strawberry and peanuts and Carmel. Not too rich. I also tried there rice. The rice was very flaky and had good flavor. plan to return. It's worth the try. The only thing that was a negative would be the meal portion was a bit small for the price. You may not think so if you eat small portions.

I've come to Dine twice and they were not open with the hours that were posted. It would be nice if ours were more up-to-date.

Best tripas tacos I've had in a long time. Came here by accident but so glad we still tried it…read more Asada plate was fire too. Service was awesome as well. 10/10 will be back for more

A pozole worth coming back for!…read more I had the pozole here recently and was thoroughly impressed. The broth had a deep, rich flavor that was comforting without being heavy or overly salty. I really appreciated that the seasoning wasn't overpowering -- they actually provide salt, Mexican oregano, and other seasonings on the side so you can adjust everything to your own taste. A nice touch that shows they care about quality and customer preference. The hominy was tender and plentiful, and the meat was absolutely melt-in-your-mouth delicious -- juicy, flavorful, and clearly slow-cooked with care. Every bite was satisfying. What really elevated the whole bowl were the fresh condiments. The lime, cabbage, cilantro, onion, and sliced radish brought that crisp brightness that perfectly balanced out the richness of the soup. And don't get me started on the crispy tostadas -- perfect for scooping or just munching alongside. They also include a couple of salsas if you want to kick up the heat, and the presentation was beautiful -- the kind of meal that makes you pause and appreciate it before diving in. If you're craving authentic pozole that tastes homemade but still lets you make it your own, this is a spot you don't want to miss. I'll definitely be coming back!
