We were in the back row corner and everyone in this section had the tree in their way and blocking the view of the coming attractions until it was right in front of you. This was at 1540 E. Colorado Section: 1540 Aisle 3 Row: F Seat: 101 and 102. DO NOT BUY A TICKET ANYWHERE NEAR THIS ONE. Prices are cheaper at 25 dollars online and can easily spend an hour or two here. They blast festive music that really created a nice atmosphere. For the price I'd actually say this was worth the time and price to grab some good pictures. You can take pictures with Santa Claus for $20 for three minutes of unlimited photos. Not really worth it but kinda thought it was funny haha. Parking is easily findable using the Irwindale Speedway address and everything was pretty straight forward. We stopped by the café for a cooling off break and to get something to eat. On Mondays the grill goes dark and they only sell pre-made food. I found it to be overly priced. They state no food allowed, but I brought in my own snacks. We also stopped by the gift shop which had some unique items. I'll definitely be back in the spring or fall when the weather is cooler and more plants are in bloom.

Very kid friends with awe sensory activities and book reading groups. I recently started school. I enjoy a different scene from my warm bedroom especially now in the summer. Studying at this library is not as pleasant as it used to be. It smells really bad in specific areas due to many homeless people. They take up all the study tables and quiet corners. Most of them sit for hours on their phone. Some Sleep for hours. It's not as quiet as other libraries but it's quiet enough to study my online classes. I'm a bit disappointed with how the remodeled. It feels more modern than homie which is no issue just not my vibe. I don't remember the library staff allowing homeless people in when I was a kid unless they looked somewhat well kept and with better hygiene. Anyways if it weren't for the homeless people and smell this library would still be my top favorite. I prefer the signal hill library now but still Billie Jean is a close way from where I live Oh and signal hill library is open on Mondays! Which is great because I study everyday of the week. I don't mean to be mean towards homelessness people. I agree there should be more done but one reality is that not all of them care to work and most are doing drugs. I can see that being of conflict in assisting them with stability. Nevertheless, I will always remember the good memories I had at this library. I practically grew up here.

I no longer live in the state, but visit every few weeks and make sure to visit the gardens every time. I've painted these gardens over the years and will continue to do so. My favorite gardens are the Rose garden, the Japanese garden and the Chinese garden. This is the perfect date spot as well as a perfect place to walk in the morning amongst nature before the day gets too hot. The children's garden will entertain the littles and they even have a water feature on the hot days. The art pieces throughout the museums are not only beautiful but historical and should not be missed. There is a great coffee shop to grab a cup for your walk and a great gift shop at the exit. There are a couple of quick food options as well. Parking is plentiful- but make reservations! Verdict: perfection- everyone must visit this lovely land at least once in their lifetime.

You have to keep circling to find parking in the structure. You can order your tickets at the box office or you can order them through the app or online. There is a convenience fee which sucks. But if you go to the box office, there's no convenience fee. You're allowed to pick your seats now, which is nice because you don't have to get there super early to reserve seats. They also have a few game booths inside and a concession stand for food!

The only gross part of the event was this kid near the Qzilla line puked on the grass in front of everyone!!! It was gross!!!!!! And the kid just walked away! Soooo... everyone that was walking through the grass after also stepped into the kid's puke. blehhhhhhhh. So gross!! Ew Ew Ew! So if you stepped onto any parts of the grass last Saturday, I'd recommend that you sanitize your shoes VERY well. Overall, I had a good time at this festival! During COVID-19, our family has enjoyed several trips to this monthly pop-up drive in movie venue,…read morehosted by the City of El Monte Parks & Recreation Department. For only $5 per car, the whole family can enjoy a different film each month. Movie sound is broadcast over FM Frequency in your car, and films are shown on a huge inflatable screen. For Halloween, we're watching Nightmare Before Christmas. With plenty of support from local law enforcement and city traffic control, Rec Department employees dress up in costumes from the movie, take socially distanced photos with the kids, and circulate around spreading good cheer (and tonight, glow sticks!) The event also highlights local restaurants on Main, who deliver right to your vehicle when you phone order. Each car receives a goodie bag of toys and treats, and a $5 off voucher for local food delivery. You can also bring your own dinner of course, but it's nice supporting local businesses. Tickets are available on the El Monte Parks & Rec website, and because the event sells out, you pretty much need to buy in advance. Kudos to El Monte for hosting local families and supporting local businesses.

This year we got the usual great lineup but instead of the DIY style show in a parking lot, Professor Vic moved it to the Cathedral. Located right off Garey, The Cathedral is tough to miss. There's plenty of street parking on Center St and there's also a small parking lot across the street. This used to be a YMCA but it looks like an old church with dark wood flooring, high ceilings and stained glass windows. A very cool venue. How did it sound? Loud. Extremely loud. They also had a huge video board which gave each band a little extra hot sauce. There were a couple of bars in the back and you could also order food. It's air conditioned in there but between the heat (100+ outside at the time) and the amount of bodies inside, it was at least bearable. Mosh for Youth was great as always and while I loved the DIY ethos in the past this felt like a leap forward. The sound, look and venue made this feel big time. I hope future MFY shows take place here...until they maybe outgrow this place too, which would mean more scholarships for the kids. Highly recommended!
