Sadly I haven't been here in a while. Finally came to try their breakfast. I got the pancake plate. It comes with 2 good size pancakes , 2 eggs any style, 2 bacon and 2 sausages. Good food at a good price. Service was great as well and interior is old but well kept. I'm including new menu prices as it looks like no one has posted the new updated menu prices. Food can take it awhile as they make things fresh. So if you want something quick maybe call ahead.

Brother's Burger is a true hole in the wall for carne asada fries. Here they simply call it "asada fries." It comes in a large portion so one order can comfortably feed two hungry people. The fries are thicker than from other places and taste like steak fries, which I am fine with because it means it isn't as greasy and you can actually taste the potato. The asada is not overly seasoned and has a nice charred flavor from the grill. The dish is nicely presented with plenty of guacamole sauce, and includes pico de gallo on the side for you to mix in to your desire. Since it takes 10-15 minutes for me to get to Brother's Burger, I always order by phone before I leave because that's roughly the same amount of time it takes for them to make the asada fries. I get mine to-go and ask for the green sauce, which is mild in heat. They'll hand you red sauce by default. The price as of July 2019 is $7.79 plus tax, which is a slight increase since last year. Still, that's not too shabby considering that it will fill up two people. Parking is limited because it's shared with other businesses, but there are additional parking at the rear. Inside, the restaurant resembles an old American diner and they serve a mix of Mexican and American-style foods.

Already planning my next visit :) Clean interior, quick service, order and pay up front and choose your own seats! TIP: ADD $4 FOR A SIDE OF BANANA MAC NUT PANCAKES TO YOUR CHIMICHURRI STEAK Chimichurri steak with 2 fried eggs and 2 banana macadamia nut pancakes: 5/5. I'm always conflicted between sweet or savory for breakfast, but this solves all my problems. The banana mac nut pancakes were perfect - so fluffy, not too sweet, so many bits of macadamia. Chimichurri steak was yummy, but I'll try ordering it medium rare next time if they allow me to. All this for $24 is such a steal. Chicken katsu with rice and mac salad: 5/5. Bouncy, snappy pieces of chicken that are not dry at all. Seasoned so well!

You'd think it would be overwhelmingly sweet, but it wasn't at all. The pancake batter itself was fluffy, moist, buttery... just perfect. 5/10 Crab Omelette lt wasn't dry and had a buttery flavor, but something about the crab tasted fishy. The spinach and mushrooms are great.Just not my cup of tea. 4/10 PotatoesThe potatoes on the side were cooked perfectly and cut into large pieces, which I liked. However, I felt they lacked seasoning. After a few bites, you kind of get over it. 6/10 Mexican Iced Chocolate Pretty straight forward tasted like a light chocolate.More like milk with a whisper of Mexican chocolate. 6/10 Pineapple Juice Refreshing and tasted freshly made. You could tell because of the pulp. Only Complaint:They forgot our pineapple juice, and when the server was about to bring it over, the cashier stopped them and said, "Wait, come over here! Let me see!" Then once he saw us, he said, "Okay..."We had gotten our food to go received the food no pineapple juice. A few min before we got the Whisper... chocolate. On a hot day, waiting for drinks? Not cool. Total: Over $50 for 2 people. The portions are large, but for the quality and presentation, I'd say it's a bit overpriced. Would I recommend it? Yes...

Expect to spend a few shiny pennies, but it's well worth the splurge. We went all out, and enjoyed the asparagus fries, some mocktails, and adult beverages to enjoy along side our steak dinners. We pretty much all ordered the Bistro Plate, and all loved it! All the meats were cooked perfectly, and the soup was amazing! That nights soup special was the ginger carrot. It was so well balanced, smooth, full flavored and all around perfect. My friend and I, also ordered a side of mashed potato, and again amazing and worth it. The whole meal was the perfect portion. No leftovers, and certainly not hungry for the rest of the night! Our server was on point, attentive professional. The ambiance was warm and welcoming. Upon walking in, you'll find an upscale bar on the right and variety of tables on the left-hand side of the restaurant. He was polite, knowledgeable about the entire menu, and did his due diligence in accommodating my noted food allergy. We ordered: - the trio of tacos - peri peri half chicken - ahi tuna & noodles - branzino - flourless chocolate cake - oasis mocktail Tacos were fantastic! I recall my mother really digging the shrimp taco, while my brother loved the chicken taco. The big plate of chicken was a huge hit in my family's table. Apart from the half chicken itself, there was an abundance of mashed potatoes and broccolini. My brother devoured his ahi tuna steak and noodles, I guess that's the plate I'll have to try for myself for future visits. I myself, enjoyed the branzino plate - but for the price tag, I would have liked a slightly bigger portion of beets and perhaps a small salad to complement my fish. Still an overall fantastic dish, I was the first to clear my plate. If you're driving or cutting back on alcohol, they have a small mocktail menu. Service was attentive and they checked up on us regularly. We ordered 2 dozen oysters ($1.50 each), the fish and chips ($11.50), mussels and clams ($10.50), and a beer. The oysters were fresh, mostly clean, and came with the usual accompaniments. My only minor complaint is that small seafood forks would have been nice to have available. The mussels and clams were the disappointment of the meal. While the broth itself was flavorful, the portion was downright sad. We received only 4 mussels and 4 clams total, and the bowl felt almost empty. The standout was definitely the fish and chips. Dare I say the best fish and chips I've ever had? The batter was well-seasoned without being overly salty. The fish was crispy, hot, flaky, and surprisingly not too greasy. The fries were also excellent, with a crunchy exterior and fluffy, mashed potato-like interior. I would absolutely order this again. Overall, for happy hour, come for the fresh oysters and fish and chips. Skip the embarrassingly skimpy bowl of mussels and clams.
