    Ceviche

Food was bland. No flavor and too watery. Spent almost 30 dollars for to small portions. Might try another seafood restaurant next time.

Darn! Came on the day they are closed. I did though take a photo of the hours and also some important information about their no more use of Styrofoam containers.

I have been dining here since 1994 and I have always ordered the cocktail de Cameron with warm broth . It's absolutely the best . This place is a small hole in the wall but always busy and very well known for all their fresh ceviche's and cocktails. When in the area a must try .

I've been going to El Pollero 95 for several years. This is definitely the spot if you want fresh, no added fuss, delicious ceviche! Located in the back of the building with plenty of parking and a neighboring alley for a quick in and out. The staff is friendly, quick, and efficient in getting your order ready. Space is limited, and if you're lucky you'll find an empty table; and you might need to wait to be seated. But it is definitely worth the wait. My go-to is the shrimp ceviche and it never disappoints. It always seems to satisfy the craving. Oh and most importantly, CASH ONLY!

Best shrimp cocktail. I've been coming here for more than 20 years and I don't mind the drive from Orange County.

Food quality has definitely gone down. They use different fish then original and smaller and under cooked.

My cousin…read moresuggested we go here and as soon as we walked in I was impressed with how much thought went into the place (chairs, tables, decorations). I ordered ceviche crudo, I forgot what the plate was called but it did not disappoint! I did have to add a dash of salt and salsa which was already on the table. My cousin ordered some fried fish platter for the table and that was amazing as well. Service was a little slow but the servers were doing their own running, bussing, and taking care of tables so I get it. I definitely will be returning! Update:. My first visit the food was 10/10 and this last visit it was a 7/10. My ceviche was watery, lacked lime, and the shrimp smelled like it had not been washed. I understand the other reviews now :(

The waitresses only know Spanish, however they're as nice as can be. They're fast, always making sure our drinks are filled, and they're super pretty!!! Haha. Food: 5/5 We came mostly for the tacos, (Marlene) we haven't had these since we went to Mexico; I'm not a taco kinda girl myself, but these hit! Marlene is favorite and super hard to come by. They were excellent. We also ordered "CAMARÓN MANCHA MANTELES" Cajun style. . It came with corn wheels, corn, sausage, and the sauce was to die for! It can easily feed 3. Perfect for a gringa like me; * it was better than boiling crab tbh* LOL All around: 5/5 I feel like the pricing is great, and worth it. My tray of seafood was $35.00. At boiling crab I usually spend about $50, and I feel it is way less food. 3 Marlene tacos for $18.00, I also feel is super worth it. I will definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves seafood!

Their phone service is great, that's what lured me. That's hell of a bonus for me cus greeting and welcoming is everything! The place is small but the outside patio hits. No alcohol but you can order a michi mix if you catch my drift. Seems like it's more of a to-go spot but im not a neighbor and enjoy my time eating it there and fresh! I usually order ahead personally because i like my seafood cold and they store it in the fridge to keep it cold once it's done. My go-to is the Matacrudas. I sub the octopus for crab meat 'jaiba.' I've tried most of their sauces, traditional, aguachiles, negra, and just tried the mango habanero. I love how they have a scale for spice preference. I get medium which is just the right amount of spice for me. Their michi mix is reeeallyy good since they have all the ingredients there! Def not a 'bloody mary' mix that some consider a michi. Customer service is great! They are always happy to see you again. I love family owned places! You can tell they appreciate your visit and your business. The food tastes really good and fresh! The portion is more than a great amount. It's basically a botana and you always have extra to take home if you tap out early. Parking lot is really small but i always find a spot or on the street.
