Great food, excellent flavor and clean tables. I happened to stumble by this place and I was not disappointed. The tajadas were firm and fried well compared to other catracho restaurants that make them too soggy or cut too thick. The carne asada was tender and slightly salted as it should be. The complements of salsa and pickled onions were good also. Baleadas were of good size, the tortilla seemed homemade and a good portion of beans and mantequilla was provided inside. Overall the food was great. The establishment in itself was very clean and the service was prompt. I will definitely come back for more.

I've had my eye on this place for the last 2-3 weeks because no restaurants locally make pupusas and I LOOOVE me a good pupusas! So my pops and I stopped by this morning because we were hungry and I've been wanting to try this place. We were greeted by one of the owners who is super kind. The restaurant looks brand new too. The menu is small, but I care more about quality than quantity. They served us our pupusas piping hot and fresh, just how I like them! Sides and salsa were great. I found a new spot locally and don't have to wait til I go to LA!!!

This business opened up three weeks ago. I talked to the owner and he was friendly. He talked about how he remodeled the interior, and he seems to have done a great job with it. I ordered the business' namesake dish. Never had Honduran food before so this was new, but it was enjoyable. Wish there was more chicken but times are tough.

    Burritas are bomb highly recommended

They don't serve hard alcoholic beverages, but they do have an amazing Passion Fruit juice that was extra delicious. Highly recommend ordering one! For dessert, we tried two different items: the rosquillas con ice cream and the apple crisp. Both were really good in their own unique way, the perfect sweet ending to the night. They also have a snack section my favorite! Lol. They were running a 3-bag special on their plantain chips, which are my favorite, so of course I grabbed some to go! Overall, we loved Maria and her energy, and we'll definitely be coming back to try their full menu next time. A fun little stop with great service and tasty treats!

It left a good impression so I figured I'd go try the real deal out at some point. At the event the shrimp ceviche was served with plantain chips which if you're a central American, it's a nice touch. So for my dad's birthday I figure bring him here since we are central American something he would enjoy. Total bait and switch and it worked because based on what I got at the Yelp event I was expecting the same ingredients and presentation. I'll have images of what I had at the Yelp event vs what we were served. No plantain chips, we got tortilla chip strips, ceviche was more like a pico de gallo salsa with minimal shrimp chopped up so tiny you couldn't even taste it. Not worth the $24 or $25 that I paid for it. Even the ceviche de caracol looked like it had more protein in it than vegetables. Not sure if they're trying to save costs by making it more of a Salsa than ceviche. The waitress was attentive no complaints there and the location is pretty big inside. We were the only table there which I thought was a bit odd but figured maybe we came on an off day. They do have some TVs to watch sports, a small bar area and a little store front where you can buy items to take home. Parking in the area is pretty tough if you are driving since it's street parking. If you're a local walking then you're fine. Would we come back.. nope

The interior was smaller than I expected but still had a good number of tables and was clean and cozy. Service was friendly though we did converse exclusively in Spanish. The menu was large. Prices were definitely not cheap but portions are very generous. The soups came in large deep bowls and the baleada was HUGE. We ended up having leftovers enough for a whole second meal. We were served tortilla chips to start bathed in a creamy sauce and powdered cheese. We ordered tamarind and passionfruit water for drinks, which came in large glasses; the tamarind was not tart enough for my tastes but was not bad. Both the sopa de caracol and sopa de res were excellent, and came with rice and choice or tortillas or fried sliced green plantain (tajadas). The tomato and egg breakfast dish was great, and the baleada was tasty albeit salty. All of the various banana and plantain forms were yummy, and the flour and corn tortillas were freshly made and delicious. At the end of the meal, lollipops came with our check. There is a $1.25 surcharge for paying with card. Probably the one major gripe is that there was a considerable wait for our food, over 30 minutes for sure; just don't come in a hurry and appreciate that everything is made to order! Would definitely consider returning for Honduran food in Long Beach, equally good as the other Honduran restaurant in town.
