    Titan Burrito
    Chidozie E.

Came here yesterday for the first time. I ordered the titan burrito which is basically a California burrito with chorizo. It was different, it was really good. Was about $15. They had a salsa bar. The habanero salsa was really good, so was their green sauce. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was pretty busy so you know it's well liked in the area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I think they're really good Mexican restaurant/ taco shop for the area. I'd come back for sure and recommend it.

Always delicious- great value on the burrito. Many options to customize. Love the basic salsa and tortillas are so fresh and legit. The chicken salad was also so big- lots of chicken and enough for 2 meals.

The last two times they have messed up my order the receipt matches perfectly what is supposed to be on the order Carne Asada burrito, guacamole, cheese, and salsa. The last two times they have not put the salsa on. The second time I decided to call and file a complaint, their solution is for me to drive back so I can pick up a side of pico de gallo or I can get a pico de gallo on the house next time What a joke why don't you get the order right the first time or why don't you drive and drop me off the pico de gallo you didn't have a problem charging my card. Your cook has a problem reading receipts, obviously. So send him on over with my pico I shouldn't have to drive back over there

2/21/26 - My third time here and 5 stars in this trip. Brought 2 friends. We ordered the following 1 Special A - Quarter Chicken for $12.99 w/ Flour Tortillas and Rice & Refried Beans; 1 Pollo Asado Bowl for $12.99; then 2 Carne Asada Taco for $9.00 w Guacamole. Ordered at the register. The cashier was very friendly and helped us. Took the number and sat down. About 5 minutes later they called our number and picked the food up. Fresh, hot and delicious. Lots of real guacamole in the salad and the tacos. The chicken was banging good and flavorful. Check out the photos. Total was about $38.

So glad my friend told me about this place and recommended it. My second time here and I'm always blown up away by the quality of the flaming grilled chicken. Great customer service, sometimes there's a wait when there's a lot of customers ordering and so worth it. Whenever I'm in Lemon Grove, I make it a point to stop here and eat. This place blows away El Pollo Loco in every way.

Dare I say the best California burrito in town? ... it's possible. Chicken is good but if you're looking for a burrito in town this place oddly enough is one of the freshest, most consistently delicious I've experienced (not to mention possibly most reasonably priced). Cali Burritos at 13.99 as of 2025 with everything included: fries, guacamole, sour cream, pico optional. Salsa bar is tasty. I like to grab all options and switch it up each bite. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is seating indoors, bathroom with lock code (try to skip), and it takes roughly 15 minutes for food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]You can see all the pollo in the back grilling away.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definitely a fan. I wish I could keep this place a secret but they deserve recognition.

5 Chicken Rolled Tacos w/ Carne

Review for DoorDash. The California Burrito - Carne was probably one of the best. Good taste in the meat. Very filling. The delivery of the 5 Chicken Rolled Tacos was not the best. Only two tacos had cheese on them. The guac and sour cream were packed on the side. 3 of the tacos didn't have cheese. I'd order the burrito again for delivery but not the tacos. Store are probably better.

We're not in Lemon Grove often, but happened to be after lunch hour and decided to pick up California burritos to go. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place has clearly been there for a while, and it's comfortable and not too bright inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Even after a 20 minute drive, the burritos were fantastic. Tortillas are not too thin and have great chew. The ratios of ingredients were exactly how I prefer - ton of carne asada and guac, not too many fries! Their carne is seasoned heavily which I enjoy, some might find it a tad salty or too garlicky. The three distinct salsas are also an indicator of a good spot in my opinion. Standard red and green, but my favorite is the emulsified orange. Self serve so you can load up. Price is a little steep (like everywhere these days now though), came out to a little over $30 for both burritos after tax and tip.

I ordered a burrito for my husband and a bowl for me for delivery. I opened the box and my eyes got big. It was full..pollo asada, cheese, guacamole, lettuce, rice, beans and sour cream. Both the dishes were delicious.

    5 Chicken Taquitos

This is Not my first time eating at El Pollo Grill... I have eaten here many times over the 25+ years and I can say confidently that their grilled chicken is always GREAT! We always order the same thing which is a number "C" meal. This meal consists of: 1/2 of their famous marinated chicken which has been grilled over and open flame and cut up into 4 pieces; rice, beans, choice of corn or flour tortillas and fresh salsa. When I say famous chicken, this is TRUTH! There is a reason why this restaurant has stood the test of time and is a favorite in Lemon Grove... because they consistently put out an excellent product. The chicken is moist, flavorful and the skin is nicely charred (see pic). The rice is moist and flavorful as well as the beans. I have tried both the corn and flour tortillas - both are fresh, served warm and yummy. There is a self-serve chile sauce bar that I recommend you try, spice levels; medium, hot and muy Caliente! This complete meal was $15.99 and was plenty for 2 people. I can also recommend their chicken taquitos as well. The taquitos are topped with cheese, lettuce, sour cream, fresh salsa, and a huge amount of fresh guacamole on the side! So good! I usually order take-out but you can eat in as well... [[HIGHLIGHT]]extremely casual restaurant with a couple of big screens. This is family style restaurant, you self order and self seat[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].

She took my order and was straight to the point; no frills or thrills so no complaints on my part. It's convenient that they're open 24/7 but since there are in a shared plaza in the middle, there's no drive thru making you have to go inside. I like how there was an open salsa bar with different options of hot sauces ranging from mild to spicy. They even have hot carrots, jalapeños, and radishes out for free which is a winner to me! They do have a sign limiting you to 3 sauces per person and that they have cameras watching lol. The service was super quick I was still getting my hot sauces when the food was already done to my surprise. As for the food itself ehh it was okay. Their cheese quesadilla was a little on the burnt side. Their rolled tacos and asada nachos came with everything which included guac, pico, sour cream, lettuce so that was a plus for me not to order any extras since some just come with the basic cheese. They were both good.

Not only was all the food amazing, but the portions were generous and made for some great leftovers. My parents were in town so we were out to dinner together and we all got different dishes and each one was better than the next. The quesadilla was probably the best thing we had. Our server was attentive and quick while still giving time to be friendly. When they were out of a couple items for the drinks we wanted, she was ready with alternatives and always offered to at least double check in case there was something they could do. My dad even got a little preview of a new version of their Old Fashioned since they were in the process of phasing out the old one and were out of one of the ingredients.

It came with a yummy almond galleta dusted with powdered sugar. The coffee was perfect. I dipped my cookie in my coffee and truly it was the perfect bite plus perfect treat as I waited for my food because I was HUNGRY! Our food took a while to arrive it was a Saturday morning at brunch but it wasn't crowded. The wait was the kind of wait you do where you look at the tables around you to see who has food and who doesn't and wonder what was the seating order of the folks around you and if they got their food before you and why. So when my food arrived I was sooooo ready! I ordered the chorizo and crispy potatoes burrito. It looked great when it arrived! I strategically cut my burrito about a quarter of the way in. I knew I would at least eat a quarter but I knew I definitely wouldn't eat the whole thing and I didn't want to waste a perfectly good bite on all tortilla. I cut my burrito and put a bite on my fork and as I put my food in my mouth I looked down and find a long curly hair. To say I was disappointed was an understatement. I was disappointed for several reasons. 1. The bite I took was all egg and tortilla. No cheese no chorizo no potato. 2. I was starving! And 3. I knew I wasn't going to have anything to eat until after the other two people I was with finished eating and I could go somewhere else to get food. I didn't let it damper my mood. I showed the waiter who was very apologetic and took my plate away. When he walked away. It hit me I didn't tell him to not bring me anything else because I was going to eat a remade burrito. So I got his attention because I didn't want them to waste anymore food. Here is what I will say. To replace my food, I was given a pastry platter that was AMAZINGLY good! The concha was legit the best I've ever eaten. The banana bread was delicious with delicious toasted pecans which added a caramelized texture to the banana bread! No joke, it was so good. What I will also say is that I was visited with no less than 3 people including Gabriela herself who was absolutely apologetic about my experience and assured me it wouldn't happen again. What's also nice is that I wasn't charged for the food I ate which believe it or not has happened to me before MANY years ago. My peeps whom I was with absolutely loved their food. One had the Sopes and the other had the huevos rancheros. So while I have to be honest about my review, I really think this was a one off mistake and at the very least I would highly suggest ordering cafecito and pastries from Casa Gabriela!
