Again I brought some different residents to have dinner and pick up the other clients purse . The staff was so rude to us and refused to give us the purse saying the lady has to pick it up herself because they went through the purse and saw a social security card. So, $8.07 got served, one totally tasteless floured tortilla filled with about five 1/2x1/2" chunks of chicken with a table spoon of tasteless beans & rice and a smear of guacamole and a handful of bitter cabbage. I did not taste anything. No chipotle. No salt. No seasoning. All wrapped up in a sloppy mess. I also asked for extra hot sauce on the side. They gave me three one ounce ramekins of a bitter chili de arbol , worst ever, so bitter. I could not finish that bland package of nonsense. As I was trying to eat this tasteless mess in the parking lot, I glanced over to their next door neighbor "The Golden Ox". I should have gone to their drive up window. I'm a foodie. A BBQ Pitmaster. Time to pay, we exchange pleasantries and I give her my card. She's still distracted speaking to a co-worker across the restaurant, just super distracted. I've been to this location twice now. The first time about a week or so after they opened and the second just this past weekend. I'm not impressed. The first time I went it was through the drive-thru. I ordered the chicken tostada and an extra of the cilantro dressing. The wait wasn't too long, but when I got home and started eating the tostada every single piece of the chicken had gristle on it. EVERY. SINGLE. PIECE. It was disgusting and dry to boot. I decided to forgive the place due to it only being open a couple of weeks at that point. Fast forward to my visit this weekend. I stopped by the drive-thru after leaving the 99 cent store. To my amazement there were no other cars in the line. Yippy! This time I decided to try the chilie lime shrimp tostada without any pico. I also ordered a chicken avocado quesadilla. I get to the window, the girl is nice enough, but doesn't ask me if I want any kind of sauce or anything. I waited about six/seven minutes and get my food, asked for some salsa and was on my way. What a big disappointment when I got home it was, though. First off, there was no sour cream on my tostada, but there was pico.. which I had specifically asked to be left off. And second, the tostada itself was a really dark brown color, as if it had been left in the deep fryer to long or something. Usually I'll pick it apart and eat it with my left over dressing but I threw the entire thing away this time. It tasted funky. The chicken avocado quesadilla? Um, who taught these people how to make a quesadilla? EVERYTHING was to one side of the tortilla. Everything. As for the chicken, there was just a little dollop of it inside as well. How would I know? Because the thing fell apart while trying to eat it. I guess it was good other than that, but a bit hard to eat since it was improperly made and everything was falling out from one side as you bit into it. So anyway, I guess customer service isn't too bad, but the food needs some work. I get the place has only been open 8 weeks, but still. Both visits were just so disappointing, I won't be back. As I write this review, this location is only about 1 week old and the food is delicious and the staff are friendly. Already a ton of people have filled the drive through and inside to soak in all the flavorful goodness. I ordered a whole chicken and it was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Enjoyed every bite, yes by myself. Wow. That was weird. First, I had to leave and get cash because they don't take debt and I didn't have an ID for my boyfriend's card (credit only ) or cash, of course. This pollo was the best I've had at this chain in years, and it's a chain I like a lot and have been to at probably a dozen locations around the state. Usually the breast pieces are good size especially if ur gonna pay more. But these pieces were smaller than some drumsticks. But i think the rice really got me down on this place.
