I walked to this location El Pollo Loco to have a Original Pollo bowl. I was looking forward to it because it's always so Delicious, instead I was so Disappointed in the quality of the food and the taste was not the same. I will be honest with you I hate it because I was starving and I don't like to return my food. The chicken was Shred and burned. I always remember the original Chicken bowl as square white chicken not Shredded nor burn. The general manager by the name of Olga Gonzalez told me that's the way it comes now is shred and not square or white meat anymore.I was looking at the Original chicken bowl advertised as your picture it looks to me white meat in square no shred is that correct? I am complaining because I feel there is a lot of Older senior Citizen People that are Taking advantage they cannot write you a Review. Ana at the drive thru dismissed my request & rolled her eyes at me when I kindly asked for more salsas.. I did not come to Pollo Loco to get attitude. Her coworker that was not even looking turned around when Ana walked away stepped in and told me she did nothing wrong to me in a defensive tone when she saw I was making a face in disbelief that she gave me attitude. Obviously Ana said something to her for her to come up to me like that. I told her kindly that she did and I would like to speak to the manager and know her name. She said "I refuse to give you her name and my manager is too busy" Once I stated that this is not okay and I will want to speak to somebody or I will walk inside to do so, the manager came up to the window and I spoke to her what was wrong and she stated that she will talk to her. After a year or so, we decided to give them another try, thinking maybe things had improved. Out of a couple of items that we ordered, rude employees that obviously did not want to be there. This place deserves 0 stars. While passing through the city, I decided to stop here at the drive thru with my kids. Ended up ordering a 14 piece mixed grande meal... came up to $34 and some change. When I asked her she said I have to wait in the long drive thru line. I figured she was confused so I called and was told the same thing. They will only bring out curbside pick up and online orders must be picked up in the drive thru line. It was 5:45. My order was ready and paid for but I had to wait in the long line. I eat El Pollo Loco all the time. I have been to many locations for many years. I keep trying the Menifee location because I live in Menifee, hoping they will improve. This place along with their corporate is the worst possible customer service. Every single time I order the chicken "Juicy" as they instructed me to do if I wanted less burnt chicken, I order it that way and end up with absolutely dried out shriveled horrible, so-called chicken. I can't even peel the meat away from the skin because it's so burnt that it has fused together. I sent emails to corporate and get no replies. I tell the manager and they give me attitude, on more than three occasions I have been told they were out of chicken. I've also been told if I wanted to wait for chicken, while I was in the drive-through, it would be 45 minutes and to go park in the front. It's highly unbelievable that this location continues to operate while they tell you that their corporate will look into the situation. Complete bogus information. If you can avoid this particular location please do. The employees at this location tend to provide horribly unacceptable customer service. While ordering via the drive thru, the employee by the name of Jasmine had such an attitude that I had to pause while placing my order. If there wasn't a car in front of me, I would have driven away. When I arrived to the window, I was also greeted with an attitude. My food was almost forcibly placed into my hand and the door was slammed. I was attempting to request an additional salsa but I could not. Perhaps the employees at this location need to be retrained in how to provide great customer service....since is not the first time that I have experienced and or witnessed such behavior at this location. I'll never forget during the holiday season when I was craving tamales and they were one of the few places that served them!
