Revised review for March 18, 2025: My dad and I love coming to eat at this particular El Pollo Loco. Everytime we come in, we always receive great customer service. Today we came in at 9:30 AM and Lupe was behind the counter greeting me and my dad with a nice friendly smile and asked us what we would like to order and is always really nice and friendly to me and my dad. My dad asked Lupe if they have any coupons today. Lupe said yes and handed us one. We ended up ordering the 8 pieces of grilled chicken with 4 chicken legs and 4 chicken thighs. We also ordered a large Mexican rice and a large salad for my dad and also requested if they can give us some extra flour tortillas which she did. We ate our food but couldn't finish it all. So I asked Lupe for some covers for the rice, salad, and chicken which she ended up hanging it to me all while always keeping a nice smile on her face. She even was smiling at us when we first arrived and greeted us. I don't know if you can let Lupe know that she is the best girl crew member on the team and that she's great with customers!! Worse customer service, I have visited this place when I'm craving tortilla soup so I know to expect the long wait in the drive thru or the broken English from the employees that I constantly have to repeat myself, but to wait 15 minutes in the drive thru to place a order , pay and be told to park in front they will bring out to me, I waited an additional 35 minutes later still no one comes out with my food , I went in and asked for the manager and hand her my receipt with the time showing that I have been waiting 35 minutes in the front and she reaches under the counter and hands me my food... Wth! I asked why no one took it out and she had no answer... Of course I asked for my money back n no apology , comp nothing! She eventually refunded my money back after several attempts on the register (10 minutes more) and tried to give me 21 back instead of 31 ... I had to point out the amount on the receipt she couldn't read I won't be back to say the least read more

Horrible service! When I asked to speak to a manager some guy who barely spoke english told me he was the "man-a-hyer". They then proceed to tell me they are closed- it was 10:00am in the morning, their door says they open @ 9:00! And my husband and I had just watched a lady leave with a huge bag of food!
