One day a long time ago, there was probably a job fair for jobs at this specific El Pollo Loco location. They hired all the people that can't seem to get orders right. They all work here, and specifically at the drive through window. If you are going to come here, make a list of what you want, check what you ordered and what you actually got in your order. This is probably the 5th time i get so irritated by them! I came in today for the $5 tostada or 2 piece meal it clearly said in the coupon choice of leg and tight or breast and wing , even if I was wrong the guy asked what kind of drink with that, before all this we clearly told him about the coupon , we then get to the cashier and she said we can't do breast and wing " it takes away from our time and everyone's behind us because they can't get there orders correctly, then again they told us it didn't came with the drink when the guy asked us what drink we wanted with our 2 piece meal that we told him we had a coupon for.. spoke to the manager she was very nice , yet the problem wasn't really fix we had to pay for our drink after waiting forever for them to fix our meal , I work at a restaurant so I know how it goes but if you make a mistake don't try to make us feel like it was ours when clearly the guy that took our order made a meal a mistake and because of it we had to wait for it to get fix , food was cold , order was wrong! I never said anything before but it's very frustrating when your trying to get home to a warm dinner. Correct me if am wrong please? But the coupon clearly says choice of leg and tight or breast wing? The cashier himself asks us if we wanted a choice of Breast or wing or leg and tight but the manager said we couldn't do it ... maybe am reading it wrong I just want to be sure for next time that way I can correct myself and the worker. One of the meals was wrong...so my wife went up to the front and told the male Manager her order was wrong. Instead of replying with "No problem Ma'am...." he rudely told her she was wrong in which we looked at each other dumbfounded that this guy had the nerve to call my wife and good paying customer a liar and then proceed to lookup the order we had just placed and paid for in their computer and then discovered he was totally wrong and they did indeed mess up the order. He did not apologize but instead rudely and aggressively took the food tray and wrong meal away to the back. He came back 3 mins later and slammed the meal and tray down on the counter....once again rudely and aggressively. We will never be subje ted to this rude and immature behavior ever again in a environment that is supposed to be 100% Professional. Smh... worst customer service ever and I highly dont recommend this restaurant to anyone unless they enjoy horrible customer service! read more

I have been coming to this place for quite some time for fresh, tasty food, but I think this will be the last time. This place is always so inefficiently run! If they're not out of one thing, it's three other things. The past two times I came to this location, I ordered a Cherry Coke with my meal, but they were out. This last time, I had a coupon for a 2-piece leg and thigh combo with a small drink. When I got to the window, I was handed a large. I told the cashier I ordered a small, but she said that they were out of small cups. It was well before the dinner hour, so I don't understand how they keep running out of shit so soon! This is my favorite El Pollo ive ever been to. Theyre always quick and friendly. The food always tastes perfect and the chips are warm. I love that they always give me a large salsa (even when i dont ask for it) I am from Merced and the Pollo there is not the best, always give you small half filled salsa containers, awful guac, and extremely slow service. Their food is usually always great but this last time I went their customer service wasn't the greatest and the food could've been better. I went through the drive thru and it was a manager who took my order. 1 she wasn't even paying attention when I was ordering she actually yelled in the speaker "if you don't want it go home" I was very confused and said "I'm sorry?" She apologized and asked for a minute so I realized she was talking to an employee. Very unprofessional. Then when she came back she kept messing up the order and I had to repeat it like 5 times and again this was a manager !! I had a party catered by them. It was a big hit. I order the food online the day before. The food was prepared fresh and hot. All the serving utensils, plates and napkins added. I got the catered 24 piece chicken meal. And had rice and mac and cheese as my sides. It also came with two large sides of salsa, chips and many flour tortillas. I had beans and corn that I made at home. It says it feeds 10-12 but Half the food was left over for a party of 12! So the portions are great! Super easy and stress free. Hello, My boyfriend has been to this location twice now and both times has ordered than paid only for them to say they did not have the food product!! Today was the last straw! He ordered paid then when he went to get his order they stated they were out of what he ordered. Offered him his money back or something else. He requested his money back then they proceed to say they could only give him $8 back instead of the full $15 he spent because he could not find the receipt. Hello you just took his order.... I've been going here since it opened but have been going less and less in the past few years. The portions have been continually shrinking, along with the quality/flavor. Coincided with prices rising and paying prices near that of a restaurant, well I realize why I've gradually phased this place out. I only went as I had a coupon for the new sandwich, which was totally NOT worth waiting in the drive-thru 15 minutes for. I probably could have went in and dined and been out in that amount of time. Fast food is supposed to be fast? I figured in that amount of time they would give me a drink or some kind of freebie for my suffering, but alas nothing. Poor business practice right there. Food is good, the salads especially but I'm starting to get tired of asking for caesar dressing and feeling increased levels of high blood pressure after being told, "You mean creamy cilantro?" No, caesar dressing! I've had the creamy cilantro and it's pretty good but Im asking for caesar dressing. Either that or "Sorry we dont have caesar dr..." Never been to this particular El Pollo Loco; however since I was in the area today, stopped in. El Pollo Loco's are never that fast, but no big deal. I usually go inside and relax while drinking something. Unfortunately most of their drinks were out 'cause of a malfunction today. The food was tasty though, plus the staff exceedingly friendly and apologetic, and things do happen. Of course I'll be back again! El Pollo Loco has their own taste quite different from most fast-food places or even Mexican restaurants, and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend checking them out. read more

Very poor service. It wasn't even that busy when I went in. Another cashier offered to take my order but seemed irritated that she had to. Nothing like dealing with someone who obviously doesn't want to help you. When I got home the chipotle chicken burrito I ordered had no chicken. They replaced the chicken with lettuce or cabbage. And lots of it. I don't see how they could have accidentally made a vegetarian burrito so it must have been intentional. Not sure why though. Dined there Sunday and the major complaint I have - the music and someone hacking the poor chickens up is SOOO loud forget about the clerk hearing you or vice versa! The salad had 3 slices of avocado and no mango at all. We tried this place because of an email that stated Free Delivery Any Meal, Any size through July 31, 18.
