Came in on Friday 3.27.26 evening for dinner. Since lent I'm not able to eat meat so I'm so glad they had shrimp. Ordered: Shrimp tostadas with cilantro dressing and a side corn - was so filling & good. Food was quick to come out and register guy was really nice and attentive. So I usually don't post fast food but this is for El Pollo's new item - the shredded beef birria that you have the option of taco, quesadilla or burrito. I opted for the two shredded beef Birria that was $10.95 that includes a small bag of tortilla chips and Birria consumé. First thing I opened was the cup with the consumé and I was shocked how little they gave! I mean, look at the ad they used and what I actually got. 2 stars for false advertising. So the two tacos were in individual beef and first thing I thought--. jack n the box tacos!!! I mean, they just deep fry it and added cilantro and onions. Taste- wasn't that bad. When you can dip it with the consumé. The consumé was kinda runny and just had cilantro and onions. The tacos was crunchy but for the price. I think it's expensive if they plan to give very little consumé. Tacos- 3 stars. Would I order it again? It's hard to say since when I go to el pollo.... After repeatedly having this issue, I've finally conceded that not including salad dressing (creamy cilantro) or the requested salsas is common practice at this location. Tonight I spent $65 for delivery for 3 people via GH. Chipotle Chicken Avocado Burrito had NO chipotle or avocado. My salad entree had no dressing. Gee thanks for the bowl of lettuce, stale chips and no dressing. The app states that chips and salsa come with each entree, and has you choose which salsa you want (fiery roja). 3 entrees, no chips approved, and only mild House salsa included. To top it off, a chicken bone was found and caused choking. So glad we treated ourselves to El Pollo Loco for delivery dinner. (sarcasm) I've had multiple similar experiences here, so the conclusion is that this location is terrible. Go to the Plaza Pkwy location instead. read more

Food is good but the night manager, she needs to find another line of work, I asked her about something on the menu, she literally was rude & then started getting angry with her cashier, accusing her of not charging correct, the cashier tried to explain to her but no she really made quite a scene, think she needs some better Management skills, as I listen I asked her name, Natalie, she said,I frequent often & have witness this in the past with this same manager . a few times. There is a time & place to correct these young workers that are just entering the workforce but in a more tactful way, I may self would have walked out, you don't try to degrade people , be alittle more tactful & professional about it! read more

We keep going back because the food is great. Service is so so. But the last couple of visits have made us rethink how great the food is vs the experience. Today they gave our good away and then gave us crappy remade food. It's like they had something against us. We ordered online for curbside. The girl came out with our food but she didn't give it to us. She walked all over the parking lot. Returned to the restaurant with the food and claimed she gave it to us. We didn't know that part until we went through the drive through after waiting 20 minutes. Then we had to have it remade just to get only part of the order. When we finally got the rest, it was crappy. The chicken avocado tacos had burnt little pieces of chicken and no sauce. The mashed potatoes had corn and unidentifiable pieces in it. I've tried contacting El Pollo Loco but they never bother to respond when I send feedback using "Contact Us." So much for customer service or customer satisfaction. read more

I just ordered the chicken chipotle burrito and chicken avocado taco. The food was so refreshing because I'm tired of eating fast food and was looking for food that tasted healthier. The queso fresco topped it off so good! Our drive-thru server, Natalie, was spunky and funny! She purposely repeated the order wrong to keep us on our toes and said we ordered 60 tacos instead of six and then we all laughed. Great laugh, great experience. read more

I ordered four birria tacos one birria burrito and two cheese quesadilla, it cost over 40 dollars. The birria tacos and burrito barely had any meat, the consome wasn't very good either. First of all, I ordered a double chicken tostada salad with no beans, pico and sour cream. When I got my order I saw that there was pico and sour cream and I was like okay I can deal with that but then I lifted the lettuce and chicken and underneath was the beans. I go in and switch it out and they give me the right salad this time but the cooks looked mad they had to redo it all again. The chicken was salty and when I go and bite the avocado, the avocado was so bad I spit it out. I check the avocado and see why it's so bad and it's not good. It's black. It's for sure not safe to eat or to sell. I've never had a good experience with this pollo loco on Oakdale and this was my last straw with that store. read more
